Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. About: I worked at a boarding business for cats and dogs and was around many different breeds, sizes, and ages of cats. In this job I had to clean out their litter box, feed them their desired food, and also give medicine to the ones that needed it. I also had to play and cuddle and spend time with each cat during a shift. I have always grown up around cats, my first ever pet was a cat, and I own a cat now as well. About: I grew up with dogs and have been caring for them since I was young, so being around them feels natural to me. I’ve helped friends, family, and neighbors with walking, feeding, bathing, and giving their dogs attention and exercise. About: I've had dogs most of my life. First was Lance, a Springer Spaniel, when i was 4-yrs old. Add German Shorthair Pointers, Weimeraners, Labs, both English and Anerican Cocker Spaniels, terrier mix breeds and my current pup is a Long Hair Chihuahua. Most of my dogs have been shelter rescues. Also, I foster dogs for local shelters. I am retired and spend most of my time at home working in my new garden reading, or crafting. When we have dog guests, our time is devoted primarily to our visitors. Human away time rarely exceeds 4-hrs per day. I have a large fenced yard to run and play in whenever they want Chewy, the Chihuahua, is a friendly companion. Indoors is a dog-friendly/dog priority 3-bdrm home. Plenty of space if a visitor needs some quiet privacy or a mim with pups wants separation. Daily walks add to our exercise regime. Balls, frisbees and dogs are shared. Treats abound!

About: I worked at a boarding business for about a year and a half for dogs and cats. I worked with all different sizes and breeds, and ages of dogs and cats. My job tittle including playing and cuddling with the animals, feeding the animals, cleaning where they stayed, and giving medicine to the animals that required it. I have a little more than basic knowledge of dogs and cats health and always try to stay up to date with that. I dog sit and cat sit for friends and families regularly aswell. That work schedule will vary but will be no more the 4-6 hours a day. Likely to be on the weekends to avoid conflict with school :) For my personal home, I will not be able to board any pets. Although I am very safe and responsible. My person pet uses a crate just for her safety when I am gone. I am good with crate training as needed for your pets as well. I make sure I clean up after every day and leave the house as clean as I can before you arrive back home to your happy animals!

I currently work from home part -time with flexibilities. It gives me enough space to help out with pet/house sitting during different times and days! Generally, animals are family/friends in my eyes and mind. I love be able to be playful or be a comforting space depending on the animals needs. I am a reiki practitioner and massage therapist so I enjoy giving animals extra love if the animal feels safe to that or needs help calming down. Otherwise and in addition to, I pay attention to what the pet owner has to say and follow the guidelines to what is needed.

“We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. Cynthia took great care of our dog, sent us regular updates including pictures and videos. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. When we came back we found that our dog had such a good time that I'm not sure she wanted to leave! Needless to say that Cynthia will be our first choice to watch our dog whenever the need arises! Your dog will be in good hands.”

She played with the guys and worked with them to get them to eat (which is no small chore with our guys). She has a wonderful house with a great back yard and our dogs made themselves at home. “I was desperate, my booked boarding was closed down and I found out just days before my trip. I was told of Rover and after joining, Lesley was quick to respond. Our meet and greet went great. My 18 month old heeler is a bit of a rambunctious gal and my older dog can be grouchy. Both dogs got along great with her little mini. I had anxiety about leaving these two anywhere and hadn’t previously boarded them. Lesley assured me all would be well. She was very dog smart and took control of my pup with intent and kindness.
