About: My experience with cats started early. My first pets were cats after a mama cat chose our backyard as a safe place to have her kittens. My family and I took them in and cared for them, which gave me hands-on experience caring for younger cats and learning their different personalities and needs. Her frequency of communication left me with ZERO questions as to how my senior kitty was doing while I was gone. She took great attention to detail when it came to my cats meals and medications. My cats medication instructions can be intricate and even seem tedious to me on some days as I have to inject specific doses into individual treats and wait for her to eat them, and she took on this task with an open mind and heart which I was SO beyond thankful for. She would let me know when the cat was medicated which again, brought me so much peace of mind. She took wonderful care of my home as well. She swept, and did dishes. She left my place sparkling😊! About: I LOVE animals, I have a dog and birds who I have been taking care of since I was a kid. I have experience pet sitting for family and friends, so I am very comfortable taking care of animals. About: I’ve had many pets growing up my entire life, however, I began being an animal caretaker since 2019. Originally I was a flying nanny so I was never home, but I was transporting dogs and cats all over the United States from state to state. I fell in love with my job until I could no longer travel anymore. Now that I work from home, I still want to be able to continue my journey with caring for animals. Many people do jobs because their parents did it or they do it for the money; but I genuinely do it because I love animals… you might be able to say more than humans. I currently work from home and work when I want in my daily life would really affect my availability to pet sit. I’m basically available every single day of the week unless I make plans. I live in an apartment that has a grass area for animals to handle their business and it is fenced all the way around the apartment. About: I took first aid for cats and dogs at the American Red Cross.I have had dogs for numerous years and taken care of some who weren't mine. Bobby was a sweetheart who I picked up on a highway. He was estimated to be 14 years old. I called AC and found his owner. He relinquished Bobby to me and, poor guy, developed cancer a few years later. Very hard. If the heat isn't too bad, we normally go for walks and spend time outside. There is a large grassy area and dog park across the street. I have large dog crates if anyone needs alone time. Also if dogs and cats need to be separate, they can go in other rooms.

About: I've always had a love for animals and have spent years caring for pets of all kinds. I have experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, and even tortoises, which have helped me become comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and care routines. Growing up, before I had pets of my own, I loved helping friends and family care for their pets whenever I had the chance, and spending time with animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy! I also have experience with younger pets. My first dog and cats were all under a year old when I got them, so I am familiar with the extra attention, patience, and care that puppies and kittens need while they're still growing and learning. As a student at ASU, I'm not able to have a pet of my own right now, which is one of the reasons I joined Rover! I really miss being around animals and would love the opportunity to care for your pets while giving them lots of attention, companionship, and affection. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I will always treat them like family, while making sure you feel comfortable and updated while they're in my care! 🐾 I am currently on summer break from ASU and not working another job, so I have very open availability throughout the week. You can be assured that your pet(s) will be safe with me. I give periodic written updates with photos, I follow instructions carefully, I take attentive notes about your pet from your description and my own observations, I am focused and attentive when caring for your pet(s), and I respond promptly to messages. For pet sitting in your home, I am very tidy/respectful and will leave your home as clean as when I arrived, and I stay in only the designated area(s) and only touch what I need to (please show me where you keep cleaning supplies and your pets’ food or medications, etc.). I pick up after your pet and bring my own dog waste bags, leads, collapsible water bowl, and first aid kit, just in case. I pay attention to details, like the temperature (air/ground) being safe for walks. My preference is to suggest a “Meet-and-Greet” (whenever possible. I do typically accept short-notice requests where this may not be logistically possible) because it’s important to me that you AND your pet are comfortable with me (and I you). About our pets at home: My husband and I have two wonderful cats (1 adopted, 1 we rescued) and two wonderful dogs (adopted by us from the humane society after they were rescued from dire situations, respectively; one of which is a tripod and one is a disabled senior that wears diapers) -- I gravitate especially towards rescues and seniors that need a little extra care, and I especially love cats. I’m a transparent and thorough communicator, and I’ll let you know of any prior commitments that I may have during a house stay request. I also do real-time check-ins/updates, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing, what we’re up to, and when I am present and when I leave your home. My day-to-day work/school is remote and flexible, so I can choose my own hours and follow your pet’s daily routine (waking/sleeping/feeding, etc.), and give them lots of both active, attentive quality time (undivided attention playing with them, walking them, petting them, brushing them, caring for them, etc.) and hangout time (for example, sitting on the couch together). Whenever possible, I can take short-notice and same-day requests. I have evening classes most weekdays for ~2-4 hours, depending on the day, and occasional performances on weekends, but typically no other scheduling commitments from May to September annually. From September through May (9 months, Fall to Summer), I am unavailable Saturdays and some Fridays (mostly First Fridays) due to our performance schedule. For a healthy pet that can be safely left alone, I still always spend as much time with them as possible and only leave the house for meals (and/or can bring food) and/or class, an occasional errand, depending on how long the stay is. I arrive well-prepared to minimize the need to exit the home. I will discuss my availability and your pet's needs in detail before accepting a booking to be sure it is mutually a good fit. For any booking, your pet’s care and safety is my primary responsibility and I take my duty of supervision and care with the utmost seriousness (don’t worry, I’m also fun!). I also care deeply for their emotional well being, so while I have to be realistic about my own schedule and needs (my classes, the need to eat, etc.), I don’t leave them unattended or lonely for any longer than I have to. In your home or on a dog-walk, I will give your pet(s) my full attention to their safety, well-being, and happiness. I am consistent and committed to staying up to date on the latest behavioral and scientific/medical knowledge. I am thorough and I carefully follow directions and will ask for clarification if needed to ensure I am prepared for your pet's specific care. I am experienced and knowledgeable, and you can trust me in your home and with your precious pets. If they have a special need that I am not qualified for handling or have experience with, I will be honest and not overstate my skills (I want your pet to be in great hands with the best fit possible as much as you do). I am gentle, calm, and kind, and can also be silly/fun/playful/energetic, or very quiet; I try to adapt to your pet’s personality, comfort, and needs. I've worked with a range of pets, from quiet seniors and calm cats to rambunctious puppies, giant-breeds, and anxious pets. And while I love them all, I most especially gravitate towards cats, seniors, and differently-abled pets. I unfortunately cannot care for your pets in my own home (such as daycare or pet sitting in my home) because I have four of my own at home with special needs and routines. About: I’ve had my Maltipoo since I was 12 and he’s been with me through every thing even college so I understand the difficulty of finding someone you trust to watch your fur babies. He doesn’t have any eyes and hasn’t for the last 4 years so that’s an added challenge and I want to be able to provide others with quality dog watching they can trust just like I look for when hiring someone for my dog. I’ve been dog sitting for about 10 years and can provide references. I’ve been flown to different states to house and dog sit for families because they knew they could trust me. I work from home and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule so it makes it easy to provide care for different schedules and needs! I have a fenced yard with a pool and considering my dog can’t see I’m typically supervising outside time and my other dog is very anxious to be alone so I am used to being there when pets are outside. My home is dog friendly considering I have 2 dogs myself, one small dog and one medium dog. About: I have the time, patience, and heart to give your dog the attention they deserve—whether it’s for walks, cuddles, or just good company while you’re away. I do work M-F on a 8am to 5pm schedule so anytime around that works for me whether that’s after work or the weekends! Once I’m staying in the house, I try to keep everything as close to the pet’s normal routine as possible. That means feeding them at the right times, sticking to their usual walk or play schedule, and giving them attention if they’re used to a lot of company. If they’re shy or independent, I respect that too. I pay attention to their body language so I can tell if they need more space or more love.
