“Dogs were very clean and happy when they returned home. Rachel was very quick to respond to any questions and sent multiple pictures of our pups during their stay, and even accommodated some last minute change in plans for us. Will book again!!”

“Our puppy always feels at home with Jessica. It’s clear that Jessica deeply cares for the dogs she takes care of and we are very grateful. Jessica is our first call whenever we go out of town. Cannot recommend enough.”

“Doug has cared for our little doggie, Freddy, a couple of times now. Freddy has diet restrictions that make for extra work, so we are very happy with Doug's attention and care. Great dog sitter! :)”

“Tatiana was awesome! I got lots of updates with pictures and videos and communication and I knew my Daisy was in good hands! Daisy had so much fun playing and she got lots of cuddles. We will definitely book again!”

“By far my favorite person to leave my babies with! She works with me and my schedule and always takes the best care of my puppies! She always keeps me updated throughout the day and sends me the best pictures and videos!”

“Kelsey was awesome to say the least! She’s very flexible which was amazing with being stuck in a winter storm I didn’t have to worry about my pup at all. She made Kaia feel right at home and her two dogs played with Kaia great!”

“Chyra took really good care of Kyo and he enjoyed his stay with her and she also took pictures and sent videos of him but when I got there to get him he was so happy to see me but also wanted to go back in her house. I would definitely recommend her and book with her again.”

“Wade & Morgan were fantastic hosts for our dog Boone over Memorial Day Weekend. Boone had a ball playing with their dog Atlas for 3 days. Wade and Morgan sent pictures and provided updates everyday. Would highly recommend!”

“Katie is AMAZING. Took such good care of my fur child. All the kids and doggos spoiled my dog with cuddles and attention. She was easy to communicate with, sent lots of pictures, and allowed us to do a meet and greet first. Will absolutely use her in the future.”

“Corlaeja really came through for me and Billy. It was a very last minute booking, and she was not only able to do it, she did it exceptionally well. My boy—who is a brat—looked happy and healthy in every photograph she sent (and she sent regular photographs). And, of course, he came back to me the same way I left him. I will definitely look to rebook with her the next time there is an opportunity. Thanks again!”

“They did a great job caring for Rosemary!! I got updates every day, and Rosie seemed like a happy and healthy girl when she came back home. We have already booked again for another weekend!”

“Barrie took great care of Gracie while my wife and I were away on vacation. I appreciated that she updated us regularly with pictures/videos. She also asked questions and really tried to make sure Gracie was as comfortable and happy as possible.”

“Our golden retriever absolutely loved his visit with Jonathan and his family. He could not have been a more perfect host and it was really nice to have a previous golden retriever owner as a Rover host.”

“My dog Jack seemed to really enjoy his stay with Jordyn. Having a home with fenced yard and other dogs, and allowed to be in and out of the home is exactly how he lives at his home. He seemed very comfortable in the setting.”

“If I could leave 10 out of 5 stars I would! Amanda was wonderful and we could not have asked for a better experience. Besides being kind, gentle, and thoughtful, she was very caring and gave our dog lots of attention. We had multiple pictures and videos, which were so nice. She took Oliver on walks every day, not down the street, but to a park every day. She also fed him home cooked chicken (with my approval) to try to get him to eat (picky eater!). I know Oliver had a great time and it was so nice not worrying about our little boy! We will definitely use her again! Thank you Amanda!”

“Shelby is the best! Ron loved hanging out with her all week. She kept us updated everyday and answered all our questions promptly. She made our first experience with Rover fantastic! Would 1000% recommend!!”

“Kimberley was awesome! She was very accommodating and understanding of our older dog’s transition to a new area and home. Maddie loved her spacious backyard and her new friends, Sampson and Stokely. Maddie can’t wait for us to need Kimberley’s services again!”

Cat caregivers near you - Maytown

About: I have been around, owned, and taken care of cats of all kinds, shapes, and sizes since I was 10. I adore felines and have two of my own. It is very important to me that cats are well taken care of especially when their human is out of town!!
“Krystal was a true blessing for our family. We had a European vacation planned, and our longtime pet sitter unexpectedly fell ill and could not come - days before our trip! Krystal stepped in, last minute was no problem for her. She also happily took on the monster job of caring for our nine rescue cats for over a week. She did a perfect job of it, too. The daily report cards with pictures were amazing. It gave us such peace of mind to know that our fur babies were in such good hands. She took such extraordinary care of them and paid attention to every detail. We came home to very happy cats! I will not hesitate to book Krystal again for future trips and wholeheartedly recommend her as a pet sitter. She is the best!”

“She was very sweet and communicative. I love the detail in which she wrote her notes. My dog is very precious to me and it means a lot to have someone taken care of her who truly cared about her.”

About: I’ve cared for cats of all personalities—from shy and skittish to bold and sassy—since I was young, and I truly understand feline behavior. I’m patient, gentle, and move at each cat’s pace so they feel comfortable and safe with me. Whether it’s feeding, brushing, litter care, medication, or just quiet companionship, I make sure every cat feels secure and loved. Cat parents trust me because I pay attention to the small things: their routines, their comfort zones, and what makes them feel relaxed. With me, your kitty always gets dependable, loving care.

About: I can't remember a time in my life I did not have my own pets. I have taken care of my own pets all of my life and am a lifelong animal caregiver. I have experience as a foster mom for an animal rescue as well and I enjoyed taking care of so many different babies and helping them find their forever homes. I have always had both cat and dog companions and have advocated and helped friends and family with their pets as well. I currently have a senior dog, a senior cat, who have both been with me for over 13 years, three cats who are two years old and a leopard gecko! I would love to meet you and help with your pet care needs!

“Catherine has been wonderful with our new puppy, Penny! She offers fun enrichment activities for her and crafts (for us!). She is punctual and offers great communication, we couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“Carson is wonderful! She took care of my two cats (one that has a lot of anxiety). This was their first time staying at a cat sitter’s house and she put my mind at ease! They were totally fine when I brought them back home and I cannot wait to book her again!”

About: I would love to walk/ hike with your pet, care for it at your home, or drop in to let them out. I have always loved animals ever since I was little. My first job was a pet sitting service, I was frequently asked to watch neighbors dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, etc. My friends often rely on me to take care of their animals while out of town and I have experience with older dogs as well as puppies. My dog passed away earlier this year and I won't be ready for anther dog anytime soon, but I would love to share love with your animals. I work seasonally and am currently off for my winter season. I would love to spend time with your animals either at your home or on walks/hikes! I can not watch pets in my own home but in my client's home I make sure to follow their rules and ask the important questions up front. I make sure to not leave pets alone too long and to be there for feeding times and to keep them company at night.
“Sarina did an absolutely amazing job watching over my cat while I was away. Very warm person when I met her ahead of the days she’d be watching my cat, and she was great with communication and with making sure my cat was fed and happy. Highly recommend her for any of your sitting needs!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for the past 5 years, including a chihuahua of my own and my family’s dogs. I have experience raising puppies and caring for senior dogs as well. Even though every dog is different, I am able to provide adequate care and attention to every fur baby that I have the privilege of looking after. I am currently a student and have plenty of down time when I am not at school. This includes Fridays and Weekends and I can be pretty flexible with time! I keep frequent communication with pet owners, I’m able to accommodate to a dog needs, and am pretty knowledgeable about dog behavior to know their needs.

“We’ve booked Riley twice now to look in on our cat while we were out of town, and she’s done a great job both times. She’s reliable, takes good care of our cat, and gives us peace of mind while we’re away. We would absolutely book with her again!”

“First time using rover, and I didnt have to worry about my pups at all while I was gone. She took great care of my them! She sent updates and photos and let me know of anything concerning, which I appreciate. She even dripped my faucets while I was gone, and I didnt even ask or think about that! I try not to leave my pups home alone, but if I ever have to, I'd happily trust her again! Thanks Haven!”

“This was our first time using Rover and Sarah was so sweet to come check in on our kitty during the holidays and even on Christmas Day. I loved getting the updates and photos of him during her visits. She made sure he got plenty of play time and was kind enough to bring in our packages for us while we were out of town! Would definitely recommend booking with her and we will likely reach out again whenever we need care in the future!”

About: I first fell in love with cats when I was a little girl. I have a pit bull and Labrador , and the rest is history. I believe my calm demeanor puts most cats at ease, even the ones I have been told are shy around new people. Even though I grew up with dogs, cats now have a special place in my heart and I adore caring for them. I now have my own cat thanks to the Cat Distribution System named shadow

Perfect for high energy dogs - Maytown
“I can’t say enough great things about Rachel! They took amazing care of our Miniature Dachshund, Ollie, while we were in town for the Supercross race. It was clear from the start that she truly loves and understands dogs. Ollie was happy, well-cared for, and I received regular updates, which gave me complete peace of mind. Finding someone you can trust with your pet is priceless, and I’m so grateful to have found Rachel. Wished we lived closer so I could continue to use her services. She has the sweetest little family too. We Highly recommend!!!”

About: I’ve always been the friend people call when they need someone to care for their pets! I’ve raised a dog from puppyhood and adopted and cared for a senior dog, so I’m comfortable with every stage of life. Over the years, I’ve been a repeat dog and cat sitter and walker for countless friends and family—including house sitting for over a month. I am also a Doctor (resident physician) at Baptist Health, so responsibility, attention to detail, and caring for others are a big part of my everyday life. I specifically offer Rover during lighter months when I’m home most of the day; when I do go into work, I’m typically only away for 2–3 hours at a time. I’m comfortable with medications and detailed care instructions, attentive to when something seems off, and calm in unexpected situations. One of my closest friends is also a veterinarian, giving me a trusted resource when needed. Most importantly, I genuinely love animals and treat other people’s pets the way I’d want someone to treat my own. If you furry friend stays with me, they will also meet Zeus, my 10-year-old neutered pug and professional co-pet-sitter. He’s incredibly laid-back, patient, and unfazed by just about everything—I have never even heard him bark! He loves dogs and cats, has helped me host many pets over the years, and mostly just does his own thing while providing some quiet companionship. Whether you have an energetic puppy, a laid-back dog, or a cat who runs the household, I’m at your bark and call! 🐾 As I mentioned, I’m a doctor at Baptist Health. I specifically offer Rover during lighter months when I am at home most of the day. When I do go into work during these months, I’m typically only away for 2–3 hours at a time. I want your pet to feel as comfortable and secure as possible, so I’m happy to follow whatever routine they’re used to—feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate time, sleeping habits, and all their little quirks! I’m attentive and responsible, and I never take the trust of caring for someone’s pet or home lightly. If you’re hiring me to host your doggo, I live in a condo right by Railroad Park and just a block from Rotary Trail, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks and outdoor time throughout the day. My mom also lives only five minutes away and has a large, beautiful fenced-in yard that we can visit for some extra space to play and explore. At home, my calm senior pug Zeus is around for company but is very content to do his own thing. When caring for pets in their own home, I’m respectful of their space and prioritize keeping their normal routine. I will also send plenty of photos and updates so you always know how they’re doing!
“Amy has been watching Greta, my very active GSP puppy, these past couple of weeks and so far it has been great. She has a dog and a toddler that gets plenty of interaction with our puppy and Greta is always happy to go back to see her new friends. I am very appreciative of Amy’s willingness to work with our busy schedules that fluctuate for drop off and pick up.”
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, my mom and grandmother started the humane society in my hometown so we have always taken care of animals. I will take care of your dog like it was my own. I love all animals but especially dogs! I currently work from home so I am available to watch your dog during the day or overnight boarding. I can do drop ins or walks after 4pm. My wife is a RN so she is home 4 days a week to help watch and play with your dog also! Someone will always be available to supervise your pet and can update you with pictures through their stay! I have a fenced in yard and a dog door so they have access to come in and out as they please. I also have a big energetic German shepherd lab mix that will play with your dog all day! We have daily frisbee tosses and fetch in the backyard.
“Dave and his family (including his canine kiddos!) were AMAZING! I cannot speak highly enough or give enough kudos and praise! Dave was an excellent communicator; he was warm, welcoming, and caring. My little guy was happy and excited to see Dave’s pups and Dave, and to me, says everything I need to know!”

About: I’m a devoted animal lover who treats every animal like my own! Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or cuddles, I make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. Known for my reliability, patience, and big heart for furry friends, I bring positive energy and genuine care to every walk, visit or stay. I have 8 years of experience caring for pets of my friends and families…I’m open to all types of care weather it’s just a walk, need me to let them out, keep them at my place or I stay at yours! I work at UAB Hospital 3 days a week, even on days I work I can let them out before after and on my hour break! I will make any accommodations necessary for you and your animals! I live right by railroad park, so that area would be perfect for any animal to be walked in! I like by myself with no pets in my apartment.
About: I honestly enjoy dogs and cats more than most people, sorry not sorry 😆. There’s just something about the trusting love of an animal that brings joy to life/my world. I’ve been a dog owner for over 15 years, first to my sweet Charlie - no longer with us; and now to our foster fail Maya. Charlie was a border collie who never ran out of energy. Like, ever 😆. Maya is a more settled gal, but she still loves a good walk/hike as long as a nap comes afterwards. I’ve also been a cat mom, and cat foster mom for over 20 years. Our Sophie & Evie keep us on our toes requesting frequent snuggles, play time, treats, and nap time in our laps 💜🐾 If it’s not already evident, I firmly believe: pets are family, and pets have rights to autonomy/boundaries with people and other animals. I fully expect pet owners to have the same standards of care for selecting someone to help with their pet as I believe they’d use to choose a babysitter for their human kiddos. I happily respect and help maintain people’s rules for their pets (but all y’all that say they can’t get on the couch need an intervention 🙃😉 I’m just saying). Let’s chat about how to help your pets live their best lives when you can’t be with them - whether that’s walks, stop in visits, boarding in my home or other care needs. I work from home and have a fair amount of flexibility in my schedule. I’m able to do drop in visits to feed, administer meds, let dogs out, attend to cat boxes etc. and during my visits I will also provide a bit of attention and interaction for your pets if they desire it - I’m not just a run in and run back out sitter ☺️ I provide in home boarding and doggy day care at my home, where they have access to our fully fenced backyard for potty visits and playtime (weather safety dependent). I will probably only offer cat care visits to your home, as I have our 2 girls here full time as well as often having a foster kitten/cat or 2. I will be happy to cater a care plan that best suits your requirements and your cat’s needs.
About: I was trained how to train dogs at an early age after our first dog was trained by our breeder. Since then I trained 2 golden retrievers and an Australian Cattle dog (red heeler). Both breeds are strong willed and have high energy. I work from home and so have a lot of freedom to break away to take care of dogs. I enjoy taking care of dogs and sharing the knowledge from my experience of training and raising dogs. I have a large beautiful fenced yard, have multiple crates for use and live within walking distance of a dog park. I have kids that will make sure your dog gets lots of love while being boarded.
“Kendall was great with our puppy Phoebe. She answered all my questions as I was a first time Rover user. We loved receiving an update and photo while we were away. I will definitely book her again, next time we are in town.”

Im currently working I have lot of time to take care of your babies and I do boarding, I will thank the babies to the dog park right below my house I’m available anytime If you offer house sitting, drop-in visits, or dog walking, you’ll not only be taking care of someone’s dog, but—in one capacity or another—you’ll also take care of someone’s home. These services are their own little nuances, but The most important thing to remember: You’re taking care of someone’s home and there pet and it requires its own set of customer service skills. I’m currently working a job During the week and I’m off on Monday and Tuesday every week so I can take care of your babies in the day time so please let me know and I can make arrangements if you need me and I would love to take care of your furry babies they will be taken care of. “Doug did a great job taking care of our dog, Paisley! We were visiting family and needed a sitter in a pinch (during a holiday weekend no less) and Doug was super quick to respond and help us out. He provided nice updates with photos, and it was clear Paisley had a great time and was well taken care of. He even took the extra effort to replace her ball when she lost it the bushes while playing outside. Would definitely use Doug again.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to adults. I’ve had dogs of my own and regularly cared for my brother’s dogs while he was a breeder, giving me hands-on experience with puppies and adult dogs. Most of my experience is with French Bulldogs, Cane Corsos, and Boston Terriers. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet like my own. I’m currently a full-time freshman at UAB, but my class schedule has flexible gaps that allow me to provide attentive and reliable pet care. I’m used to making time for animals and being consistent with their routines, so I can easily fit drop-ins, walks, and other pet-care duties into my day. I believe every pet is different, so I don’t treat every pet the same. I take the time to learn their personality, routines, and comfort level so they feel safe and cared for. I’m gentle, attentive, and respectful of each pet’s needs while making sure their environment stays clean and secure.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs most of my life, ever since I was first introduced to them at nine years old. I’ve spent the most time with American and European bloodline Great Danes — a breed I absolutely adore, though I love all dogs deeply. In 2022, I worked for a professional dog care business, where I was responsible for four European Great Danes daily — all in the same home. I walked each dog three times a day, fed them individually twice a day, and made sure they had plenty of playtime and enrichment outside of their crates. I also assisted with the birth of a litter of puppies, helping weigh them, check their temperatures, and feed them a blended diet as they grew. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re considering booking with me, feel free to text me — I’d be happy to share photos of my experience. Looking forward to meeting your fur baby! 🐾 I’m currently on summer break from college which gives me complete flexibility to schedule any days needed I’m available Sun-Sat so feel free to reach out. In my home, your pet will be treated like family. I stick to a consistent feeding schedule, offer walks three times a day, and provide regular potty breaks. If allowed, I also work on basic training using treats. I make sure your pup gets plenty of playtime, cuddles, and affection throughout the day. I usually let dogs roam freely, but at bedtime they’ll sleep in my room so I can keep a close, loving eye on them through the night. 🐾
About: I have had animals since I was as young as I could remember, as well as my own personal animals since age 10 or so. I love animals and have cared for my grandparents, in laws, neighbors, and more. I usually house sit for family when they are out of town which includes caring for their zoo of animals! No kids of my own so our fur babies are exactly that! ❤️🫶🏼 I currently work for an eye Doctor so we work when he works, which makes my schedule very flexible! I live continently located in Huntsville not far from much of anything so feel free to shoot me a message! I do live in a house, and a dog whom we are still trying to socialize with other dogs, and an old girl who’s 11 and not super mobile, so I do prefer your home, walk, park, etc. I would love to help out!
About: I am an extremely caring and loving individual, who has owned two dogs, two cats, and dozens of other pets. Therefore I know how to accommodate whatever needs your pet might have. Having lost my oldest dog recently, being around other animals is fun and therapeutic for me as well. I am looking for work to supplement playing gigs on the weekend. Since I spend much time writing music at home, I will have plenty of time to spend with your pet. I have an easy going schedule being a teacher and musician. I have plenty of time to meet with your pet to attend to whatever needs they might have. I have plenty of space for pets to roam around my house. I also have a fenced in back yard where I like to spend time with my dog or friends dogs when the warmer weather is here.

My special skills, are soft skills… Meaning that I work best with slow warm-ups for any anxious pets. But also, I’m ready for any high energy animals as well. I go to school, and work during the weekdays… But have a giant break in the middle of the day, for any pet care. Weekends work best for me. Making sure to adapt to whatever the pet owner, and pet need. Whether that means space, or extra attention… I can be that in-between person you request. I also pride myself on attention to detail… So will notice any change in behavior, or care necessary.
About: I have been a pet owner my entire life ranging from cats, dogs, crabs and even chickens. Love being around animals in general they are special and interesting characters. Mini humans If told in advance I am usually pretty open schedule availability. Since having my own dog I am used to adapt to her needs and wants. I would care for my clients pets with same love and affection I give my own pets. I would follow the provide instructions given but also make sure we have time for treats and playtime. My love for pets we have to have some interactive time.
About: I've had animals since I was ten. I have lots of friends who work high-travel jobs, so I have years of experience taking care of their pets while they are away. I love animals and I love giving their humans the peace of mind that their best friend is safe while they are away. I'm currently working part time, so I have a lot of flexibility when it comes to scheduling. I work M/W afternoons and Sunday mornings, but otherwise I'm available during the morning, afternoon, and evening. I sometimes substitute teach as well, so more notice is always better in terms of scheduling your pet's care. I cannot keep animals in my home at this time, but I am happy to maintain a clean, happy, and healthy environment for your pet in your home. I can offer regular walks, potty breaks, and playtimes to keep your best friend from getting lonely while you are away.
About: I have grown up with animals my entire life. Caring for animals has been my life long ambition. I understand the importance of trusting someone to care for your fur babies. My fiancé And I love training and exercising with them every day and they push us to be the best we can be. They bring so much joy and happiness to our life. I have 5 years experience pet sitting for friends and family as well. They are the support system that told me about this app. Work from home but it’s not very demanding. Extremely flexible schedule. Pets need routines just as much as humans do for a sense of calm and safety. To continue to keep your (our) fur baby safe I will keep trash cans covered or inside a latched cabinet. Move all chemicals to high shelves or behind secure doors. Keep cords, chargers, and other potentially harmful items out of reach.

“Marilyn is a fantastic pet sitter—friendly, very accommodating with last-minute changes, and clearly cares a lot for the animals in her care. She took great care of our pup and we definitely recommend her services!”
