“Dana did a fantastic job taking care of my 2 cats. One of our cats has to take daily medication due to HCM (heart condition) and Dana was able to do that for us. We received daily photos. About: Ive taken care of animals since I was a child, I volunteer at pet shelters and have training as a vet tech from a vet clinic. I am a mama bear when it comes to all animals, they are treated with respect and love. I am a receptionist and mother of 2 boys, and my husband works from home as an accountant. When I am away at work or the store they will be separated from other animals and given toys and water until I get home. I keep an eye on them with a baby monitor. About: I was trained how to train dogs at an early age after our first dog was trained by our breeder. Since then I trained 2 golden retrievers and an Australian Cattle dog (red heeler). Both breeds are strong willed and have high energy. I work from home and so have a lot of freedom to break away to take care of dogs. I enjoy taking care of dogs and sharing the knowledge from my experience of training and raising dogs. I have a large beautiful fenced yard, have multiple crates for use and live within walking distance of a dog park. I have kids that will make sure your dog gets lots of love while being boarded.

I grew up helping care for large dogs and have always been the person my family relies on to feed, play with, and look after our pets. Every pet has their own personality, and I take the time to earn their trust so they feel comfortable and safe while you're away. I'll treat your pets with the same care and respect I'd want someone to show mine. I'm currently very flexible and have plenty of availability throughout the week for house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. Because my schedule is open, I can dedicate plenty of attention to your pets instead of rushing between commitments. I communicate regularly, send photo updates, and always make sure owners know their pets are happy and well cared for. For everyone's safety and comfort, I currently only offer care in my client's home. My family dog is not comfortable around unfamiliar animals, so I don't provide boarding in my own home. When caring for pets in your home, I carefully follow your routines, make sure fresh water is always available, maintain feeding and bathroom schedules, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and send regular photo updates so you can relax while you're away. I have cared for dogs of all ages from 6 weeks old to 15 years old. My childhood dog who passed away a few years ago lived until he was 15 years old. He was blind and deaf at the end of his life and required many medications and overall care. I was the sole caretaker for him so I have years of experience of older dog care, no matter what that entails. I now have a 6 year old dog that I rescued at 6 weeks old so I definitely have experience at the other end too! I can bring my dog to your house if your animals like to have a friend to play with or I can leave her at home! I can taylor to any of your dogs needs. I can run or play fetch with them or just give them some much needed loving and belly rubs. I have many years of experience house sitting and watching neighbors dogs. About: I had a dog for almost 19 years of the first 20 years of my life. She was a sister to me so I understand that pets are family. When I take care of pets, I act as though they were my own. I give them all the love and attention they might want! I am willing to play fetch on end, take them on walks, take them to a park or on a hike, feed or walk whenever needed, and any other special requirements that the pet might need. I am very flexible and understand that certain pets require certain kinds of care. I work in office most of the week so I am usually only available on the weekends. I am usually available or can be flexible with enough notice. I cannot host in my own home but treat others’ homes as a guest. I try to stay out of the way as much as I can, depending on what you prefer me to do with your pet. If outside is preferable, we will stay outside as long as the heat permits! I am respectful that play time can be disruptive within the home and do my very best to be respectful when in someone else’s home.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I recently moved to Alabama from Virginia, and I had to leave behind my four dogs. I miss them so much! I currently work part-time at Salon 43 One, but I’ve always had a soft spot for animals. I recently moved to Alabama and miss my fur babies so much, so I would love the opportunity to care for other people’s pets and get my animal fix! I can do dog walking, or drop in visits.
