“We adopted a 7-month-old kitten this past summer and none of our usual cat sitters were available for an out of town trip we had scheduled for October 2022. Fortunately, we stumbled upon the Rover service and decided to give it a try. Katie was our first choice and things turned out very well. We booked a 4 night, 5 day stay. Inital communication was prompt and Katie came over to meet the little guy and scope out the house. We were greatly relieved to receive an initial report and picture within a day of our leaving, since we had no idea how our guy would react. Katie immediately put our nervousness to rest, and provided us with several additional updates and pictures during our trip. It was such a relief to know we left our guy in good hands. He was definitely glad to have us back, but showed no sign of stress. In addition to keeping our kitty safe and sound, the house was well cared for. “Kaitlyn has been very good with our puppy, letting her outside to go to the bathroom and then play with her and reward for positive behavior (her experience as a dog trainer and vet tech is a bonus!) She updates us at each visit with pictures of our puppy and gives updates on how the drop in visits went. The only reason for 4/5 stars was because there was a scheduling issue where she forgot to cancel with us on a day she wasnt able to make it last minute and the puppy went longer than usual without a potty break (although ended being fine once we got home). However, she was very apologetic about her mistake, promised to not have it happen again, and offered a discount on some of the future visits to remedy her mistake. I appreciate that she took responsibility and sought to correct it the best she could. She has been faithful on all the other visits so far, responds quickly to messages, is polite and professional and I understand that mistakes can happen on occasion so I have continued to use her and would recommend her to others!”

Feeding them, giving them their meds, and following a daily routine (given from family of the dog) were all apart of things I’ve had to do as a dog house sitter. For cats, I have an unused bedroom set up as a private suite, that my own pets do not have access to. This room has a window and plenty of cat napping options. I live on a quiet street. I am available to give your cat as much attention as they desire.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, so becoming a dog and cat sitter 4 years ago was a given. From senior snoozers to zoomy puppies, from ‘don’t touch me’ cats to ‘please love me immediately’ cats—I’ve handled it all and loved every second. I’m currently part time so I would have plenty of time to check in with your pets. My job is very flexible with breaks so I would still be able to check in halfway through the day. Walks will always start with greeting/leashing, then we head out for fun! Upon arrival back to your home, pups will get a treat, fresh water, and some love before I leave. Pet photos will be sent to the client after our walk. For house boarding & Doggy Day Care: all pets including my own dog, will always be crated upon leaving the home for their own safety. I will only allow dogs to stay in my home upon meeting the dog first, and making sure they're dog friendly and okay with cats. I prefer to keep only one other dog in my home at a time but will make exceptions for the right dogs/fit. dogs are expected to be well behaved in my home and not have destructive or aggressive habits.
