About: I love dogs, I like to do what they want! We live in Anchorage so dogs close by are preferable. We would love to do dog walks or drop in visits. We get outside a lot and like to get off leash if it's a safe area and your dog won't take off. Otherwise retractable leashes are the way to go. We are responsible about picking up dog poop. We will show your dog a good time! We will customize our care for your dog, just let us know any details you need us to know. On walks we will keep them on a leash unless it’s a dog park or an off leash area and know that they will return to our command. Whatever schedule is required is fine. Must check the calendar before full schedule is decided. Just let us know what time the walk would need to be and it should be fine. We can do a dog walks as needed, and I may have my son‘s help out. We usually try to keep them on, always to be safe.

About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees a few months ago. :( We have an older shihtzu and would like to watch another dog because our dog is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 2 dogs max at a time so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time tho since we also have a cat . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.

I’m comfortable caring for puppies who need structure and consistency, as well as older pets who may need a slower pace, extra gentleness, or medication support. I communicate clearly with owners and truly enjoy forming meaningful bonds with the animals I care for—not just watching them, but making sure they feel loved, secure, and understood. I only work part of the year, which gives me plenty of free time the rest of the year. Because I travel often, I don’t currently have pets of my own, but that also means I have lots of time, attention, and love to give. I’d be happy to share that with your furry family members. I’m very respectful of people’s homes and always tailor my care to match how you care for your pets. If your pet is allowed on the furniture or sleeps in bed with you, I’m happy to welcome a warm, furry snuggle buddy. If your pet is crate-trained at bedtime, I’m comfortable with that too. I’m flexible, friendly, and have many years of experience with animals of all kinds—dogs, cats, parrots, horses, ducks, chickens, you name it. I’ve yet to meet a dog I couldn’t connect with, even the most timid ones. People know me for how deeply I love animals, and with me, your pet will be safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.
About: I have been cat sitting and dog walking for the past two years for coworkers and family friends- and now I’m on Rover too! I’ve got two golden retrievers of my own who I love dearly as well! I am a student at the University of Vermont studying political science and english! During the summers I come home to Anchorage, Alaska. I love all things outdoors- hiking, running, you name it. I have also been working part time at Middle Way Cafe (in Anchorage) for almost 3 years. Because I have grown up with animals, I feel confident in my ability to care for them. I also volunteer at our local animal shelters and am passionate about finding animals good homes! I value communication and will update you on your pets mood, send pictures, etc. I have a lot of experience with anxious dogs, so rest assured your pets are in good hands even if they tend to be nervous when you leave.
About: I’ve had pups my whole life and have always been trusted to take care of them. I also work at Ahappydogdaycamp on the weekends! I do have experience with giving meds and pups who have problems with seizures. I am quite good in stressful situations if anything ever comes up! I am available Monday thru thrusday with no jobs or other things going on during the week. Plenty of time for activities and hanging out. I am available weekends!! In our home we allow dogs on couches,beds, and do have dog beds if needed.we have a fenced in yard with two other pups they could play with. There are other people in the house but there are all gone until about 4-6 pm but all the other time it would just be me. I can take them outside whenever need.

While we didn’t have an opportunity for a meet and greet beforehand, she kindly responded to all my questions and concerns leading up to the stay. It is difficult to leave a beloved dog with a stranger so we arranged a pre-travel meet & greet to ensure our pet’s need would be met—frequent walks, love, and attention. She brought her dogs and they made one big happy pack. Just before we left, our dog developed a limp. Emily was extra cautious with him and he was all better when we returned 5 days later. She was great about sending multiple daily photos and texts to keep us updated. We are very grateful to have found someone like her and will definitely ask her to watch him again.”

About: Would love to love on others pets as we unexpectedly lost our dog of 12 years and aren’t ready for another of our own yet I’m currently a stay home mom to a 3 year old daughter, we walk almost everyday and have more than enough time and love to give! We have a shared unfenced yard but walk around the neighborhood daily. We have an open space for playing around and lots of time to give!
