My pups stayed for 24 hours and came home appropriately tired with zero signs of distress. This was a trial for a seven-day stay and I left very comfortable leaving the dogs for my longer trip.”

About: I've had companion dogs for most of my adult life. Usually two dogs at a time. My oldest dog was a Red Healer cattle dog who eventually became blind and deaf, living to be almost 19yo. I've also had Australian Shepherds (2) and Border Collies (2) and enjoy the smart dog challenge. I consider my experience well rounded from training puppies to caring for older dogs who have special needs. I love them all like they are one of a kind and deserve the best this life has to offer. Thank you in advance for considering me as part of your pet's care! I work during the day M-F close to home. Home on the weekends. Daily walks are provided with additional play time and potty breaks as needed. I have a fenced yard and usually accompany the dog outside so they are not alone in the yard. Play time also occurs in the fenced yard space. Dogs are free to roam the house and be part of our family while boarding but I also offer containment to an area of the house or crate if needed.

About: I love animals and have had them in my home growing up my whole life, however my current building does not permit pets. It’s important to me to be around animals every day and I truly value the time I get to spend with them. I love getting to know new animals and their quirks, understand their needs and how to respond to their specific needs when their owner may be away for lengths of time. I have experience with senior care in ushering my own dog through the final years of his life and providing him with as comfortable and dignified an existence as I could, while also following doctors orders and administering prescriptions. I have experience with reactive and re-homed animals and am patient and sensitive to the traumatizing effects of being re-homed and/or having an unknown history. I’m detail oriented, reliable and timely, and am compassionate towards animals with limited capabilities. I’m good at this because animals are easy to love, I like to be active and meet them at their level of energy and ability, whatever that may be. I work a flexible schedule with minimal hours and try to plan my life around spending time with animals that bring me joy. I enjoy getting up and out multiple times a day, exercise and movement are very important to me and pet care fits naturally with this. I think it’s important to enter with the mindset that each pet is different and will have their own needs and specific care instructions. I try to get outside at least once a day and am very sensitive to meeting your dog at their activity level. About: i had 3 dogs in my life. 2 of the dogs i had. i had since i was born. then i adopted another dog in 2014. wanting to adopted more dogs in the future. i have dogsit before in the past 3 years before i knew about rover. i love and adore dogs. i cant imagine life without one. I do live in an apartment in the 3rd floor on the top. If the dog needs it I can carry him/her up and down the stairs no issue at all. About: Current medical student with so much motivation to get outside with my dog in between studying. I'm also a professional photographer, so expect lot's of photos of your pup! When I was a kid, I always wanted a dog….but we owned everything except a dog due to our lack of a yard. To solve this, I would knock on my neighbors doors to walk and play with their dogs everyday. Now I can finally live out my hotel for dogs dreams. My rescue dog, Cowboy, would also love a furry friend. He was the dog the shelter used to socialize their dogs and I’m sure he misses it. We are a fun and loving couple with 2 small doodles of our own, 3 stories of house to play in, a small backyard/potty area, and located right next to a doggy park. About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees a few months ago. :( We have an older shihtzu and would like to watch another dog because our dog is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 2 dogs max at a time so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time tho since we also have a cat . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.

About: I’ve worked at 1 different doggy daycares/1 rescue group for over 8 years. I’m always around dogs, of different sizes, temperaments, I’m great with all dogs, even dogs that don’t like other animals. etc..I will still walk them or dog sit them at their houses (I can’t board them at my house if they can be aggressive because I have other dogs). I love dogs so spending time with them is amazing. Im free all weekend to do anything for or with your pets. On the weekdays I get off work at 2pm so anytime after that I’d love to work! About: Roughly two years ago, I received a call from a colleague asking to house sit for a weekend after a previous bad experience with boarding two dogs. Both with health issues and one of them not sociable with other dogs. My colleague came back to a clean home, garden watered, mail organized and the dogs very well loved and walked everyday. Ever since, I have housesat for anywhere from 48hrs to nearly 30 days at a time with zero issues. Bed time rituals, feeding songs, walking a slightly reactive dog, cuddling very closely at night were the priorities at the top of the to-do list. Now that two years have passed since that first call I have decided to try my hand at truly making dog walking/house sitting/drop-in playdates a side gig! I work 12hrs a day, rotating weeks 3 days or 4 days a week. Typically Wednesday/Thursday-Saturday off every week. I am up early most mornings in my time off, can make myself available for late nights Wednesday-Friday as well. In your home, I will follow all requests diligently, check all doors and windows before leaving or before bed. I am MANDT de-escalation trained, CPR/BLS certified and will soon be training to further my EMS-adjacent skillsets. In emergencies, I understand the importance of prioritizing the fur babies and keeping them out of harm’s way.

About: I have loved most animals for as long as I can remember. I am very compassionate towards animals and feel love and concern when I see a lost or unloved animal. I have pet and house sat for two families who came back to me multiple times. I am always willing to adjust my usual routine to make the owners and their furry family members comfortable. I sat for a friend once who requested that I keep their large, fluffy husky mix in my car whenever I left the house. My priority will always be keeping your furbabies happy, healthy, safe, and comfortable. Last, but certainly not least, I have two dogs of my own who I treat as if they were my own children. I am always thinking of how I would want other humans to treat them when I decide how to work with someone else's pets. During the summer, my pet care will be my highest priority. During the school year (mid August through late December and mid January through late May) I work as a teaching assistant and must prioritize that but I would endeavor to schedule all non-work related activities around the needs of the pet and their family. As I have two dogs of my own neither of which get along well with other dogs, I would not be able to care for another pet in my own home, but I am always willing to stay in another home if pets require constant supervision. I would always follow any instructions regarding pet care given me by the owners. If clear instructions are not given to me, I will ask questions and I will simply do my best to make the pet comfortable and not to change their routine more than absolutely necessary.

I would do potty breaks and ensure the house was not used. I would take the dogs for walks and play with them to burn off some energy before bringing them back home, if the owner allowed it. I would also feed and make sure they drank water before I left, updating the owner on how they are doing. Otherwise, I would utilize the spaces given to me ( a fenced yard, etc.). For cats, I would check in on them and make sure they are fed and watered. i would play with them with their toys and then update their owner on how they are doing.

Stacey was great about sending updates & pictures. She included Zoe in any outdoor activity she & her dog went on. Zoe is nervous with new people, but Stacey said Zoe warmed up to her & her dog quickly. Stacey let me know that I may not have packed Zoe enough food (mom fail) & asked what brand I fed her vs. just feeding Zoe what her dog ate, which I greatly appreciated (Zoe did have just enough, lol).
