About: I've had companion dogs for most of my adult life. Usually two dogs at a time. My oldest dog was a Red Healer cattle dog who eventually became blind and deaf, living to be almost 19yo. I've also had Australian Shepherds (2) and Border Collies (2) and enjoy the smart dog challenge. I consider my experience well rounded from training puppies to caring for older dogs who have special needs. I love them all like they are one of a kind and deserve the best this life has to offer. Thank you in advance for considering me as part of your pet's care! I work during the day M-F close to home. Home on the weekends. Daily walks are provided with additional play time and potty breaks as needed. I have a fenced yard and usually accompany the dog outside so they are not alone in the yard. Play time also occurs in the fenced yard space. Dogs are free to roam the house and be part of our family while boarding but I also offer containment to an area of the house or crate if needed.

About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees last year :( We miss him. We would like to watch another dog because our shihtzu is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 1 dog so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time since we also have a cat but may make an exception if from the same family . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember and have been caring for them since I was a little kid. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and they are truly family to me. One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my late dog, Roo, who battled cancer for about a year before we lost her in September. About: I have loved most animals for as long as I can remember. I am very compassionate towards animals and feel love and concern when I see a lost or unloved animal. I have pet and house sat for two families who came back to me multiple times. I am always willing to adjust my usual routine to make the owners and their furry family members comfortable. I sat for a friend once who requested that I keep their large, fluffy husky mix in my car whenever I left the house. As I have two dogs of my own neither of which get along well with other dogs, I would not be able to care for another pet in my own home, but I am always willing to stay in another home if pets require constant supervision. I would always follow any instructions regarding pet care given me by the owners. If clear instructions are not given to me, I will ask questions and I will simply do my best to make the pet comfortable and not to change their routine more than absolutely necessary.

About: Roughly two years ago, I received a call from a colleague asking to house sit for a weekend after a previous bad experience with boarding two dogs. Both with health issues and one of them not sociable with other dogs. My colleague came back to a clean home, garden watered, mail organized and the dogs very well loved and walked everyday. Ever since, I have housesat for anywhere from 48hrs to nearly 30 days at a time with zero issues. Bed time rituals, feeding songs, walking a slightly reactive dog, cuddling very closely at night were the priorities at the top of the to-do list. Now that two years have passed since that first call I have decided to try my hand at truly making dog walking/house sitting/drop-in playdates a side gig! I work 12hrs a day, rotating weeks 3 days or 4 days a week. Typically Wednesday/Thursday-Saturday off every week. I am up early most mornings in my time off, can make myself available for late nights Wednesday-Friday as well. In your home, I will follow all requests diligently, check all doors and windows before leaving or before bed. I am MANDT de-escalation trained, CPR/BLS certified and will soon be training to further my EMS-adjacent skillsets. In emergencies, I understand the importance of prioritizing the fur babies and keeping them out of harm’s way.

I work remotely as a postdoc for UAF and my schedule can be flexible to work with yours/your pets needs! I enjoy spending time outdoors, and I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, and active outings tailored to your pet’s needs. I’m reliable, communicative, and will always send updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. I have two cats and will generally not be accepting any stay-over visits at my own house. They are really friendly and love humans but other pets would be stressful for everyone!

About: I've had pets my whole life! Mostly rescues, always with their own quirks and needs, and I've learned a lot along the way about helping them settle into a new space and feel safe. Being a therapist, I'm tuned in to the little cues animals give off, so I tend to pick up on what a nervous or shy pet needs before they even show it. I'm the auntie to many of my friends furry babies. I also love getting creative with how I engage with animals. I make my own enrichment activities to keep pets mentally stimulated. At home, I've got a Shetland Sheepdog who's an absolute angel- my adventure buddy. Your pup will be in great company. My partner and I both work from home, so pet care fits naturally into our day. That means your pet won't be alone for long stretches. I can offer regular breaks, walks, and check-ins throughout the day, and I'm nearby if anything comes up. It also makes scheduling easy. Because my partner and I work from home, your pet gets consistent attention and company throughout the day. My home is a safe, comfortable space where pets can settle in and relax. I stick closely to your pet's usual routine so things feel as familiar as possible while they're with me. We have a small fenced-in yard for safe outdoor time and play, plus a secure balcony pets have easy access to for fresh air throughout the day.
