“Jacob was amazing! He took great care of our dog Dex while we were out of town. He took care of everything just as we had discussed and even spent time with our cats during his visits. Our very moody cat who doesn't like many people even liked Jacob. I would without a doubt recommend Jacob to anyone.”

“I can’t give Erica enough stars, she is absolutely amazing. During my recent trip, Erica stayed at my place and took care of my pet for ~ 2 weeks. She was quick to gain the trust of my anti-social cat, she communicated with me nearly daily, and my cat was happy and well cared for while I was gone. Erica also was an excellent house guest and left the place in great/tidy condition (probably better than I had left it). Thanks again Erica for taking such great care of Toed!”

“Shelley was great with my cats! I liked getting daily updates and pictures and it was nice knowing they were well cared-for while I was out of town. She will always be my first choice for pet sitting when I travel!”

“Olga does a wonderful job watching our two cats. They are both visually impaired and she handles them perfectly. She is reliable and always sends reports and photos. Will book with her again.”

“Nala was happy when we arrived back home and didn't seem like she had been stressed while we were away. Loren did a great job keeping her company while we were out of town!”

“Rachel was incredible, I left my kitty for a 12 day international vacation. She ensured that my kitty was well cared for as well as my home. When I returned, my cat was happy and the house was clean. She updated me frequently with pictures and responded promptly if I had questions. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a sitter. Thank you Rachel!”

About: Had 2 siamese back in the day and boy were they loud at times but faithful friends and beautiful animals. Rescued a stray in 2010 and come to find out she had hidden 5 kittens, they all ended up staying except one which went to a friend. We named them after the 4 seasons (including Fall and Autumn to give us 5 names). The mom we called Polly. Big fluffy mama cat. There’s only one left now but they all lived good long lives. My ex has the remaining one now.
“Whitney was amazing!! She took such great care of our fur babies. She went above and beyond, cleaning up accidents and taking care of the house. We greatly appreciated her communication and updates. We did not have to worry while we were gone, so appreciated!!”

“Shelby was superb. She took care of everything we needed and was very responsive always. She sent us amazing pics of our Cat and videos of him being loved. Definitely recommending her. Thanks Shelby!!”

About: I’ve cared for cats of all ages and personalities, and I really enjoy getting to know each one. I understand that cats can be shy or independent, so I always move at their pace and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I take care of feeding, litter box cleaning, and spend time with them however they prefer! Whether that’s playing, relaxing nearby, or just keeping them company. I’m gentle, patient, and truly care about making sure every cat feels calm, loved, and well taken care of while their owner is away.

“Sarah was an amazing house sitter. She was great with both of my cats and empathetic to their individual needs. The house was spotless and both cats loved her.”

“Sydney was awesome. Super great with communication, attention to detail and she stayed at our house while we were away. Cats were well taken care of and we’d use Sydney again in an instant. Thank you!!!”

“Sharon and Michael are great people— I can tell they are passionate about dogs and they do an excellent job at watching Aurora & Loki on the days we are working long 12 hour shifts. They are fed, socialized, and having a fun time with other doggies 🐶❤️ they kept us updated with photos during their stay. Their backyard is very spacious for the doggies and they absolutely love running and playing around in their backyard when they are outside. When the doggies get home, Aurora & Loki have expelled their energy at doggie day care and will often settle into bed after getting home. A tired dog is a happy dog 🐶 thank you again Sharon & Mike!”

“Very appreciative of Trey's care for my dog! My dog Willow can be quite loud but she had a great day with her canine friends and I'm grateful for the patience she was shown.”

“Danielle was wonderful from the very start! This was our first time using Rover for Smoky and Danielle provided updates and photos throughout the day, which was very reassuring. Smoky clearly had a wonderful day with her and was exhausted when he got home! Already planning to rebook with Danielle.”

“Alex is great! I can tell my dog enjoys her time there because she was a little TOO excited on the second day. Thank you!”

About: Hi! Both my husband and I have grown up in Alaska helping care for small chihuahuas all the way up to wolf-hybrids. We are a fun and loving couple with 2 small doodles of our own, 3 stories of house to play in, a small backyard/potty area, and located right next to a doggy park. We can’t wait to meet your furry friend! I work from home permanently, so I am able to provide care all day long for your fur baby. While I work, typically my two doodles spend their time snacking and watching TV! Once the work day is up, to the park we go! I have two miniature sized doodles to keep your dog company. Additionally, we have many toys available to play with, ample treats, and a small backyard area for potty with an additional park right next door. Both of my doodles are fixed and crate trained. :)
“Allison was an amazing sitter for my 4 mo old puppy! I could tell HRALI was having a great time at her home, with lots of attention & playtime. I also was grateful that he got to interact with cats & other dogs. Allison was also easy to communicate with, sent lots of cute photos, and picked up & dropped off every day. She was punctual, but also very flexible. HRALI definitely loved spending time with Allison & her family. I would definitely have her care for my HRALI again, and I highly recommend her, especially if you have an active pup!!”

About: Current medical student with so much motivation to get outside with my dog in between studying. When I was a kid, I always wanted a dog….but we owned everything except a dog due to our lack of a yard. To solve this, I would knock on my neighbors doors to walk and play with their dogs everyday. Now I can finally continue my love into adulthood. My rescue dog, Cowboy, would also love a furry friend. He was the dog the shelter used to socialize their dogs and I’m sure he misses it. I hope I can help you out and use the knowledge I’ve gained from training him and the dogs in my childhood to love and care for your friend! I work from home and have plenty of time to care for your pet. I take my dog on 2 walks a day and spend a lot of time playing, training, and cuddling. I would love to share this time with your pet too. I have a fully enclosed private back yard. Right outside my front door is a short walk to a park and many other walking trails.

About: During my childhood I often spent time with my grandmother and her pack of boxers. Now I have a Boston Terrier named Jack. I can handle a pack of up to 8 on my own I do currently have a job so I can be a bit busy sometimes. I live with quite a few people, we all help out with caring for the dogs in our care. I can usually feed the dogs in the morning and night. I can adhere to your dogs rules, whether you want them on furniture or not, whether you want them crated at certain times or not. I have not administered medicine before but I am willing to learn if need be.
“Tommy was fantastic! He watched our dog Henry while we were out fishing for the day. If you are looking for a someone great to keep your dog happy while you are out on a boat in Valdez, Tommy is the person to contact. Highly recommend.”

About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees a few months ago. :( We have an older shihtzu and would like to watch another dog because our dog is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 2 dogs max at a time so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time tho since we also have a cat . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.

About: Your pup will be treated like family! I have always been an animal lover and have treated all animals with kindness and compassion. I grew up with dogs (and a variety of other pets) and understand the commitment involved in taking good care of your beloved pet. I love watching Cesar Milan and know that rules, boundaries and limitations are also a key part of making a dog feel at ease. That being said, I'm quite a softy so there are generally very few rules as far as the house goes! :) My yard is completely fenced with lots of room to play. They can sleep wherever they choose and will always get plenty of time outdoors ( if they would like). I love walking and will take your pup for as many walks as you would like. My job is very flexible so while dog sitting I will always be at home and with your dog for the entire duration. I know that calmness and kindness are key to reassuring your pup and allowing them to feel happy and comfortable. Boarding can be stressful for animals and parents and I assure you that I will do everything I can to make the experience a joyous and pleasant one. Looking forward to caring for your beloved pup! I have recently lost my 17 yr old chihuahua so looking to have some more dog love in my life right now. Sincerely, Jackie I have a very flexible job as a vending machine owner/operator so I have lots of time to give love and walks to your fur baby! I like to keep pups stimulated with a variety of activities involving exercise, games and love. I enjoy creating fun games for them to do around the house!

About: I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with many years of experience in the veterinary field and a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, giving me a strong background in animal care and behavior. I have raised and cared for dogs for over 20 years and love playing, walking, pottying, and spending quality time with them. I am also trained to help animals in emergency situations. My dog, Pico de Gallo, is the love of my life, and I would treat your dog/cat/animal with the same care, patience, and love as if they were my own. I work for myself, so any animal that needs care would be worked into my schedule. I can do stop-ins, walks, play time, anything that is needed for your pets to be taken care of. As my calendar fills up, I ensure the times requested for pets come first before overloading my schedule. I would take care of pets in my clients' homes. I would do potty breaks and ensure the house was not used. I would take the dogs for walks and play with them to burn off some energy before bringing them back home, if the owner allowed it. I would also feed and make sure they drank water before I left, updating the owner on how they are doing. Otherwise, I would utilize the spaces given to me ( a fenced yard, etc.). For cats, I would check in on them and make sure they are fed and watered. i would play with them with their toys and then update their owner on how they are doing.
“Tessa takes great care of Dash! She always communicates effectively, is easy to work with and always keeps me updated on how Dash is doing. Would highly recommend!”

“Alejandra took excellent care of my dog Finn while I was on a 2 week long trip. Communication was excellent and I genuinely felt like she enjoyed spending time with Finn. Don’t hesitate to book Alejandra for whatever pet care needs you have - dog walking, house sitting, etc. She is very reliable and professional.”

About: Our dog passed away and I miss her very much. Recently relocated to Alaska and loving it! Have extra time on my hands to care for your furry bundle. I’ll take care of her/him/them like my own. Sorry I can’t commit to a reoccurring schedule at this time. Currently between jobs (indefinitely!) so I have plenty of time until then to give your loved ones attention. I love being outdoors so plenty of fresh air is not an issue or playing inside and curling up on sofa with your fluff ball is cool too. No problem if your pet prefers their own space, I am open to all types of personalities. Happy to care for pets in your home according to your normal routine. I am currently renting so care in my home is not an option. Thanks for understanding.
About: Ive had dogs in my life for just about all of it. I figured why not walk dogs and make some side cash while I walk around. Taking care of pets and walking dogs is more of just a part time thing I'm doing to pass the time and get to hang out with animals. Before I moved to Anchorage my family had 4 dogs that I took care of on a daily basis. I always make sure the dog is secured to a lease before I bring them out. Currently on a part time seasonal schedule with more time going to be available in the winter. Figured this would be a great way to stay active and outside while going into the winter months I've have plenty of experience with dogs and their care growing up in northwest Alaska. My siblings and I all had dogs growing up from newborn pups to our fathers dog that lived until he was 21.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience caring for dogs who may be reactive or selective around other animals. I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust when your dog requires extra awareness and responsibility. I’m attentive, proactive, and committed to keeping every dog in my care safe by avoiding risky situations and managing walks and interactions thoughtfully. I also grew up in a dog-loving household with four or more dogs at any given time. Our home was the go-to place for family and friends to leave their dogs while traveling or working, and at times we even cared for entire litters of puppies. Because of this, I have hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments, and I’m comfortable providing dependable, attentive care tailored to each dog’s individual needs. I currently work from home on freelance engineering design projects, and my own home improvement projects. This means I have a heaps of availability to pay attention to your pet! I am an active individual that recently moved to Anchorage, I love walking with dogs to explore neighborhoods and get exercise. I also have a yard at my home, which is unfenced, and I look forward to romping around with leashed dogs. Regarding situations where dogs stay at my house, I currently have two young cats which any visiting dogs will have to be okay with. Because my house has two levels, I do have the ability to block the stairway and provide my cats with a sanctuary if the cats get tired of dog games.
About: I love all animals, with proper direction I’m positive I can give adequate care to any and all animals and ensure their safety and health. I work full time with a nonprofit organization downtown that helps unhoused youths. My schedule is Sunday through Thursday from 2:30 pm - 10:30. My days off are Friday and Saturday. I can take one break depending on the how far the location is from my work to give a potty break. In my free time I’m devoted to whatever may come and is needed for any and all pets ❤️ discounts available if I am able to bring my own pets to sit. I’ve worked with the state for most of my adult life and always have passed a background check. My resume includes elderly care, hospital healthcare, in home healthcare, and most recently three years as a domestic violence/homeless shelter advocate with a non profit organization in rural Alaska. I’ve had animals my entire life and enjoy the company of all! I have experience with not only cats and dogs but fish, rodents and reptiles as well. I am open and eager to learn and care for all different kinds of animals and am confident in my abilities to do so with adequate information from the pet parents.
“Olga did a great job walking my dog, Jenny on short notice. I would use her again without hesitation. She was always right on time, sent lots of photos and also checked to make sure Jenny's water bowl was full.”

“Krystina was great. Ollie clearly loved her and their walk times together. She was attentive and responsive. Would definitely recommend if you need a sitter.”

“Katy has been great with my dog, Scruff. He needed a ton of patience starting out and she worked with him to get him used to a dog walker. He actually got a little grumpy with me one day when I stayed home sick and she didn’t come.”

About: I have loved most animals for as long as I can remember. I am very compassionate towards animals and feel love and concern when I see a lost or unloved animal. I have pet and house sat for two families who came back to me multiple times. I am always willing to adjust my usual routine to make the owners and their furry family members comfortable. I sat for a friend once who requested that I keep their large, fluffy husky mix in my car whenever I left the house. My priority will always be keeping your furbabies happy, healthy, safe, and comfortable. Last, but certainly not least, I have two dogs of my own who I treat as if they were my own children. I am always thinking of how I would want other humans to treat them when I decide how to work with someone else's pets. During the summer, my pet care will be my highest priority. During the school year (mid August through late December and mid January through late May) I work as a teaching assistant and must prioritize that but I would endeavor to schedule all non-work related activities around the needs of the pet and their family. As I have two dogs of my own neither of which get along well with other dogs, I would not be able to care for another pet in my own home, but I am always willing to stay in another home if pets require constant supervision. I would always follow any instructions regarding pet care given me by the owners. If clear instructions are not given to me, I will ask questions and I will simply do my best to make the pet comfortable and not to change their routine more than absolutely necessary.
“Eric did a wonderful job walking our pups! He was on time, we got pics of them out on their walk and had 2 happy pup faces when they got home! Thank you Eric!”

“Suzanne and her husband took my friend and I’s pups after we scheduled a last minute trip. They were extremely accommodating and communicative! They sent us pictures during the weekend and the pups were well taken care of! Would definitely recommend!”

“Crystal did everything I asked for and more. An amazing sitter and Taz had a blast as well. Communicated with me very clearly and updated me with pictures and videos. 10/10”

“He did a phenomenal job. My husky loves to try to run away but was unable to, and the GPS tracker he has just in case made me feel more safe with the dogs in his hands. He took them on walks, played with them, and gave them the company they needed to not be stressed out. He kept me updated and sent pictures of them during the time away. Will definitely be using him again if I need to travel.”

“Speedy drop off and pick up and super friendly. Appreciated the pics from the walks they went on. Was super convenient and Ashley was flexible on drop off and pick up times as well. Wonderful communication and no issues!”

About: Would love to love on others pets as we unexpectedly lost our dog of 12 years and aren’t ready for another of our own yet I’m currently a stay home mom to a 3 year old daughter, we walk almost everyday and have more than enough time and love to give! We have a shared unfenced yard but walk around the neighborhood daily. We have an open space for playing around and lots of time to give!

“A dog lover all of her life and a very supportive family that together made our dog feel completely at home. A fenced yard and 2 lovely dogs of her own rounded out our dog's stay. Can't recommend her enough.”

“Zoe & I did a meet & greet with Stacey & her dog before booking & Zoe seemed ok with her. She has a yard for the dogs to run around in. Stacey is very personable! Stacey was great about sending updates & pictures. She included Zoe in any outdoor activity she & her dog went on. Zoe is nervous with new people, but Stacey said Zoe warmed up to her & her dog quickly. Stacey let me know that I may not have packed Zoe enough food (mom fail) & asked what brand I fed her vs. just feeding Zoe what her dog ate, which I greatly appreciated (Zoe did have just enough, lol). She gave me thorough rundown when I picked Zoe up. I highly recommend Stacey & Zoe will be definitely staying with her again.”

“I felt so comfortable leaving my dog here because she was awesome! She sent pictures to me of my dog while he was there which gave me that extra bit of comfort! She was great with communicating and I'll definitely be using her again!”

“Prospect was in great company and thoroughly enjoyed his time with Aiko and her family :) Great communicators, flexible with my changing pickup & dropoff times, and my boy was returned to me safe & happy. Would recommend to anyone!”

“I’m so happy that we found Lisa and Joe to mind our two pups while we were in Anchorage. They took great care of Ruby and Chance, made them comfortable in their home, and provided updates. Lisa is very responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend them!”

About: Hello, Caitlyn T. and Harrison S. here! Much of our life revolves around our sweet Alaskan Husky, Crosby, and we'd love to add your pup to the pack while you're away. We both have extensive experience pet sitting - from horses to cats and dogs - and would love to help our community with the space and time we currently have available. About Us: I, Caitlyn, work from home so I can be with your pup all day! We have a dog door to a fenced in (sunny!) backyard, so when we're away, the pups still have access to the yard. We get in morning and afternoon leashed neighborhood sniff-walks, then do longer off-leash walks in the evenings. Harrison works at a bakery in town, but equally caretakes in the evenings and on Sundays and Mondays. As a pet parent myself, having two people involved in the care of my pet when I'm away is comforting, so we're happy to provide that to others! About Crosby: Crosby is a 13-year-old Alaskan Husky/Shephard mix who didn't make the cut for his dog sled team as a puppy, then spent his early years on a farm in Talkeenta before joining our family 9 years ago. He absolutely loves other dogs and reads them well. If they want to play, he'll play, if they want to be left alone, he'll leave them alone. He grew up around puppies, so he is also very good at setting and holding appropriate boundaries with dogs who are still learning. Overall, he has a very quiet, soft demeaner at home but is the most confident, bouncy dog at the park. He still has a lot of energy and in his older years, we just want him to have as much dog-companionship as possible. Your Dog: A good fit for our home would be a dog that is friendly with other dogs, is not food/toy aggressive, can be independent in the house for 1-3 hours at a time, and would not dig under or jump the 4' fence or dig in our gardens. We look forward to chatting more and meeting your pup! 😊 I, Caitlyn, work from home so I can be with your pup all day!
