Shortly after making the booking, Jennifer reached out and we planned a short pre-meet before so that Gregory and her lovely dog Coco could meet, and we could share some information about them both. It was clear immediately that Jennifer and her family very much cared about making sure Gregory was going to have a comfortable stay with them, and he definitely did. During the boarding, Jennifer kept us updated with pictures of Gregory doing all his favourite things and he looked to be having an absolute splendid time, seemingly as comfortable as he would be in his own home! About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs for most of my life. Growing up, my family had a female Pomeranian who was with us for over 10 years, followed by a female Husky. Caring for them gave me experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities. Now I live with my partner and our spayed female Cockapoo, Loopy. Looking after her has taught me the importance of understanding each dog’s individual needs, routine and personality. I’ve also looked after friends’ dogs, including a large Old English Sheepdog, whom I bathed and cared for, as well as several Cockapoos. They have a lovely home and were super welcoming when I arrived after a long drive. I would really recommend and will be using Vanessa whenever I am in town. About: I’ve grown up surrounded by all kinds of animals, from cats and dogs to chickens, horses, and even a rescue fawn! Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world, including spending time in New Zealand where I was fortunate enough to house-sit and care for some wonderful dogs. We were a bit nervous at first about using a pet sitter, but Joanne arranged a meeting in a nice neutral space and I could tell from her interactions with my dog that she cared about dogs and we left her with our beloved little girl. While away, Joanne sent lots of videos and from the videos we could tell that our dog was really being looked after well - the dog was really relaxed in the videos, was being played with, and looked very very comfortable with Joanne. So comfortable in fact that we were a little worried our dog would want to stay with her when we came back, as our dog was definitely being pampered! We will definitely use Joanne again when we next go on holiday, so please don't pick her for the same week as we want! (just kidding).”

About: I've been around dogs since childhood, and three years ago, my family and I adopted our lovely Britney/Staffy cross, Coco, after finding her abandoned while on holiday in Spain. Coco is 5 years old and very loves nothing more than making new doggy friends. We love local walks to the cafe at lunch and going further afield at weekends and would love to have your dog along with us. We also have a large enclosed garden for plenty of outdoor fun during the day! I work from home three days a week and my husband works from home full time so someone will always be around the house. We walk our dog Coco three times a day, and allow plenty of time in the garden between walks. My husband usually walks to a local cafe at lunch for a good one hour walk with the dog. We have a large and totally enclosed back garden and a large open plan living area downstairs. Your dog will be free to wander around the house and hangout with our dog Coco. If we have to pop out for a short time we ensure access to a comfy bed and water at all times.

About: I have had pets since I was 10 years old. I have had cats, dogs and kittens and also rabbits. I have experience looking after people’s kittens/cats/senior cats and also puppies/adult dogs and senior dogs. I have medication administration experience as our old senior cat had medical conditions which required medication. About: Since the age of 11 I've been taking care of 2 very cheeky, active springer spaniels. I believe that pets are a part of the family. All of my friends are pet professionals and I myself work for a pet microchipping database, focusing on animal welfare. My office is animal friendly and full of treats, beds, and toys. I excel in keeping your pets active while they're with me, plus I can facilitate some level of training through my pet professional connections. Since I can bring pets to my place of work I have availability for any mid-week doggy daycare and boarding. I also have 2 work from home days (generally Tuesday's and Friday's) where I could take better care of pets with more need (say they have to go to the bathroom more frequently). Weekend are more difficult however I'm often doing large hikes on weekends 3/6 hours long, I do these generally with my pet professional friends so there are many experienced hands on deck waiting to get involved. My work from home days can be changed and other amendments can be discussed. I have a garden with a high fence running all the way around. I don't have any pets in my house so no need to worry about conflicts and your animal would never be left alone in the house, either I will be at home with them or they will be at my place of work with me. My area in York has lots of paths for walking pets away from the main road to keep them safe.
About: I have always loved animals and was lucky enough to get my first dog this year called Callie. I’ve looked after friend’s dogs for long periods of time. My partner and I both work from home. We have a lovely sized garden perfect for a dog. We also love walks particularly as we have many scenic dog friendly parks nearby. I have a fenced garden and a young cockapoo called Callie! About: I have had dog all my life. At the moment I currently have 4 dogs. I also helped out in kennels in Tenerife last year. I am full time. Limited availability on Wednesday and Thursdays as I am at university but this can be done online if I am pet sitting. About: I previous worked in a dog kennels and cattery this gave me lots of experience working with all different types of dogs and cats, and how to manage different pets differently. As well as this I have a T-level in animal behavioural welfare that has educated me on how to look after animals correctly. I’ve always had dogs of my own growing up and I always treat other peoples pets like they’re my own. Working with dogs and cats alone I’ve had over a decade of experience growing up with them but in a working environment I’ve had four years. I’m currently working part-time working at least once every weekend and on the afternoon during the week this gives me plenty of time to look after pets in the morning or around work. I have studied animal behaviour and welfare and have worked in a dog kennels and cattery before therefore I know how to care for a range of dogs and cats. Both my dogs are very friendly and well trained.
About: Are you looking for a regular dog walker to walk your beloved pooch? I'm offering a solo dog walking service, just for your dog. The walk will be in your local area and can be either a half or full hour. So if your work takes precedent or you are unable to manage the walk because of health or other priorities then I could be your man. Having taken a very early retirement, I've had experience working as a specialist dog handler. I now find myself with a lot of free time and I'm looking to do what I love most and that's, spending more time with dogs. I offer a 9am walk and a 4pm walk and I'm also available for a drop in visit in between, if you need it. These times can be flexed by agreement one hour either side. Skills: • Feeding and administering medication. • Dog walking & exercise. • Patient with nervous dogs. • Previous dog handling experience & training from my previous employment. • Basic first aid. Available Monday to Friday to walk your dog. Puppies accepted and I'm happy to provide some basic training tips to new dog owners if required. I have dog walking insurance ( not that it's needed) and I'm enhanced DBS checked. Your dog will be well cared for whilst in my custody and looked after with love.
About: I have had dogs for most of my life and would love to get one now, but this isn’t possible for me at the moment. So I have decided to look after other people’s dogs to get my puppy fix!! I have experience training my families dogs from puppy age and know exactly what a dog can and can’t do/have. I would treat any dog as my own, giving it exactly what it needs, whether that’s lots of cuddles and walks or just a place for some rest. I usually have a busy schedule with work, however I always have a day off in the week and every other weekend off. I would work around whatever times & dates are needed, making sure that your dog gets the best possible care! I live in a flat, however there is a big field next to where I live and I have a car, so I would be able to drive to any good walking spots as well! It's a huge leap of faith to hand your dog over to someone you don't know, in a city that you don't live in but they both brilliant. Quick to respond to the booking, and flexible when both traffic and meetings meant we had to move the 2 of the booking times. They were prompt, friendly, kind, so knowledgeable and brilliant with my one year old cavapoo. I would wholeheartedly recommend them and will be calling on them again when I come back next year.”

About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs for most of my life. Growing up, my family had a female Pomeranian who was with us for over 10 years, followed by a female Husky. Caring for them gave me experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities. Now I live with my partner and our spayed female Cockapoo, Loopy. “Rasa looked after our 3 cocker spaniels for 2 weeks in October 2025 - we striggled to find anyone who would take all 3 dogs but we immediately felt at ease with Rasa and our girls looked very happy. She followed our feeding instructions clearly and gave them a warm and relaxing home with lots of cuddles and lots of walks. She kept us updated with photos whilst we were away and our girls seemed very happy when we collected them - Nellie didn't really look as though she wanted to come home! Would highly recommend.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals since been born and looked after different species of dogs and cats since they were young. I’ve helped train and teach them on what to do. I’ve helped more in the past few years with been older and sitting my families animals when they are away I am currently at uni where I’m there 2 days a week but varies all the time, and I also work part time at a pharmacy which I am changing my hours soon to fit around university. I have a fenced off garden space which is fine to allow dogs in for the toilet. There is a big downstairs space which is enough to allow the animals in and run about and sleep.
“Maddie was super patient with our 3 month old puppy, Haribo. This was a booking made on extremely short notice due to a last minute cancellation by another sitter, and so we were extremely lucky that Maddie agreed to take him in for 2 nights. Moreover, she took the time to meet him before the booking and immediately put my and my husband's minds at ease. Haribo was definitely well-taken care of. She was very keen on sticking to his routines, was very caring and affectionate towards him. She took him to the dog park, watched Bluey with him, snuggled with him on the sofa, and took him out regularly. He had accidents but Maddie was so understanding about everything. Haribo def had the time of his life and is a happy pup 😍 we have requested another booking with her because she's amazing!”
