This was Tilly's first stay with Nicola and was just for 1 night but she is going back next week for a longer holiday and we know now that she will be so well looked after. She has already made a new friend with the youngest of Nicola's dogs and Nicola has also got lots of activities planned for them. The communication has been superb with lovely messages describing what Tilly was doing, complete with great photos which all gave us peace of mind. “We were so happy with our decision to have Gregory board with Jennifer and her family. Shortly after making the booking, Jennifer reached out and we planned a short pre-meet before so that Gregory and her lovely dog Coco could meet, and we could share some information about them both. It was clear immediately that Jennifer and her family very much cared about making sure Gregory was going to have a comfortable stay with them, and he definitely did. During the boarding, Jennifer kept us updated with pictures of Gregory doing all his favourite things and he looked to be having an absolute splendid time, seemingly as comfortable as he would be in his own home! We will definitely be asking Jennifer to look after Gregory again in the future! 5 stars.”

We were a bit nervous at first about using a pet sitter, but Joanne arranged a meeting in a nice neutral space and I could tell from her interactions with my dog that she cared about dogs and we left her with our beloved little girl. While away, Joanne sent lots of videos and from the videos we could tell that our dog was really being looked after well - the dog was really relaxed in the videos, was being played with, and looked very very comfortable with Joanne. So comfortable in fact that we were a little worried our dog would want to stay with her when we came back, as our dog was definitely being pampered! We will definitely use Joanne again when we next go on holiday, so please don't pick her for the same week as we want! (just kidding).”

About: I have been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. Back in my home country, raised my own dog from a tiny puppy, and he is now a lovely ten-year-old senior dog. Looking after him over all these years has given me valuable hands-on experience caring for older dogs, understanding their slower pace, special health needs and gentle care requirements. 么 I also rescued and cared for six cats while living in China. About: I’ve grown up surrounded by all kinds of animals, from cats and dogs to chickens, horses, and even a rescue fawn! Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world, including spending time in New Zealand where I was fortunate enough to house-sit and care for some wonderful dogs. About: Hi, I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and I’ve come back from university for a long holiday break and would love to welcome your dog into my family’s home to stay. I’m also available for dog walking and day care. We can offer a fenced and safe garden, comfortable sofa and plenty of time for cuddles, company, walks and playtime to all the dogs that stay with us. Our home is very dog friendly and full of treats and toys. We live local to the river and multiple green spaces for a variety of walks. Our family dog, Willow, is 5 years old, she’s an independent miniature poodle. I am happy to arrange a meet and greet before any booking if you would like to see how your dog gets on. I can also easily accommodate separate walks for your dog if you prefer. I will also be taking care of my own dog when my parents are at work, so I have plenty of time to spend with your dog. I can easily accommodate a dog crate, if your dog is happiest sleeping there. I have a medium-sized fenced garden and live close to Bootham park and the river for nice walks. Your dog is welcome on the sofa and my priority is making them welcome and comfortable.

About: I've been around dogs since childhood, and three years ago, my family and I adopted our lovely Britney/Staffy cross, Coco, after finding her abandoned while on holiday in Spain. Coco is 5 years old and very loves nothing more than making new doggy friends. We love local walks to the cafe at lunch and going further afield at weekends and would love to have your dog along with us. We also have a large enclosed garden for plenty of outdoor fun during the day! I work from home three days a week and my husband works from home full time so someone will always be around the house. We walk our dog Coco three times a day, and allow plenty of time in the garden between walks. My husband usually walks to a local cafe at lunch for a good one hour walk with the dog. We have a large and totally enclosed back garden and a large open plan living area downstairs. Your dog will be free to wander around the house and hangout with our dog Coco. If we have to pop out for a short time we ensure access to a comfy bed and water at all times.

About: I love dogs and cats. From childhood, both myself and my husband have always had them as pets and our home would not be complete without one! We enjoy their companionship and caring for them, which we have many years of experience and we are trustworthy and reliable. We have a calm and relaxed home with a secure garden and have lots of lovely walks from our doorstep. Our pets are well socialised and accepting and we are all very much looking forward to welcoming your beloved pet into our home! I am at home during the day and at weekends and always make sure I take care of my own pets needs and so I would do exactly the same with all dogs that are staying with us. I would ensure I followed the owner’s instructions and I would keep them updated. I would keep a good routine, with feeding, making sure their pets food is fresh in clean bowls with access to fresh water. I would exercise them to suit their needs. I am happy to bathe, brush, clean teeth if they allow but I do not clip nails. I would give medication according to owner’s instructions. I would ensure harnesses, leads are secure before leaving on a walk and car restraints are secured before transporting. Pets are allowed on our chairs and sofas and beds and I would like them to feel safe, relaxed and comfortable. I can crate if required. I would give positive praise and attention, helping your pet to feel at home and relaxed as possible while staying with us.

About: I have had dog all my life. At the moment I currently have 4 dogs. I also helped out in kennels in Tenerife last year. I am full time. Limited availability on Wednesday and Thursdays as I am at university but this can be done online if I am pet sitting. I will come round for a meet and greet to make sure me and your fur baby get along great. I also take veterinary details in case of an emergency. I will keep doors, gates, windows secure. I will be round all hours to make sure they are happy and looked after.

About: Since the age of 11 I've been taking care of 2 very cheeky, active springer spaniels. I believe that pets are a part of the family. All of my friends are pet professionals and I myself work for a pet microchipping database, focusing on animal welfare. My office is animal friendly and full of treats, beds, and toys. I excel in keeping your pets active while they're with me, plus I can facilitate some level of training through my pet professional connections. Since I can bring pets to my place of work I have availability for any mid-week doggy daycare and boarding. I also have 2 work from home days (generally Tuesday's and Friday's) where I could take better care of pets with more need (say they have to go to the bathroom more frequently). Weekend are more difficult however I'm often doing large hikes on weekends 3/6 hours long, I do these generally with my pet professional friends so there are many experienced hands on deck waiting to get involved. My work from home days can be changed and other amendments can be discussed. I have a garden with a high fence running all the way around. I don't have any pets in my house so no need to worry about conflicts and your animal would never be left alone in the house, either I will be at home with them or they will be at my place of work with me. My area in York has lots of paths for walking pets away from the main road to keep them safe.

About: I have had pets since I was 10 years old. I have had cats, dogs and kittens and also rabbits. I have experience looking after people’s kittens/cats/senior cats and also puppies/adult dogs and senior dogs. I have medication administration experience as our old senior cat had medical conditions which required medication. I love looking after furbabies to ensure their individual needs are being met taking into consideration their different personalities. I currently work a 9-5 job Monday to Friday but I am free evenings and over the weekend. Over the weekend I am more flexible to look after pets in my own home, take them for walks and do drop in sessions. I can also offer dog walking/ drop in sessions in the evening after work hours. I have a fenced backyard for your furbaby and I am a 5 minute walk away from a field. I am available to meet up prior to a sit/walk or drop in so I am able to meet you and your furbaby so you can assess who is going to look after your family member.
About: I'm El! I had a dog from when she was a puppy right through to old age. We trained her with various commands when she was young as well as monitoring her care and medication when she was older. I have also helped with friends and families dogs with day to day care (fed, walked, bathed etc). I currently only have weekends and evenings/nights available to look after pets. I can also only look after pets in their owners home as mine is under renovations. Caring for pets in their owners home will needs to be discussed on a case by case basis for the pet and the owner. I will always enter caring for a pet with compassion and a nurturing mindset. Looking after a pet in their owners home I would need to understand the boundaries already in place and would want to know their expectations for their home and their pet before before services being agreed.
“I was staying in York for a week and Georgia and / or her partner Will took my dog for a walk each morning. It's a huge leap of faith to hand your dog over to someone you don't know, in a city that you don't live in but they both brilliant. Quick to respond to the booking, and flexible when both traffic and meetings meant we had to move the 2 of the booking times. They were prompt, friendly, kind, so knowledgeable and brilliant with my one year old cavapoo. I would wholeheartedly recommend them and will be calling on them again when I come back next year.”
About: I have had dogs for most of my life and would love to get one now, but this isn’t possible for me at the moment. So I have decided to look after other people’s dogs to get my puppy fix!! I have experience training my families dogs from puppy age and know exactly what a dog can and can’t do/have. I would treat any dog as my own, giving it exactly what it needs, whether that’s lots of cuddles and walks or just a place for some rest. I usually have a busy schedule with work, however I always have a day off in the week and every other weekend off. I would work around whatever times & dates are needed, making sure that your dog gets the best possible care! I live in a flat, however there is a big field next to where I live and I have a car, so I would be able to drive to any good walking spots as well! About: I have always loved animals and was lucky enough to get my first dog this year called Callie. I’ve looked after friend’s dogs for long periods of time. My partner and I both work from home. I can also easily accommodate separate walks for your dog if you prefer. I will also be taking care of my own dog when my parents are at work, so I have plenty of time to spend with your dog. I can easily accommodate a dog crate, if your dog is happiest sleeping there. I have a medium-sized fenced garden and live close to Bootham park and the river for nice walks. Your dog is welcome on the sofa and my priority is making them welcome and comfortable.

About: I previous worked in a dog kennels and cattery this gave me lots of experience working with all different types of dogs and cats, and how to manage different pets differently. As well as this I have a T-level in animal behavioural welfare that has educated me on how to look after animals correctly. I’ve always had dogs of my own growing up and I always treat other peoples pets like they’re my own. Working with dogs and cats alone I’ve had over a decade of experience growing up with them but in a working environment I’ve had four years. I’m currently working part-time working at least once every weekend and on the afternoon during the week this gives me plenty of time to look after pets in the morning or around work. I have studied animal behaviour and welfare and have worked in a dog kennels and cattery before therefore I know how to care for a range of dogs and cats. Both my dogs are very friendly and well trained.

I’ve helped more in the past few years with been older and sitting my families animals when they are away I am currently at uni where I’m there 2 days a week but varies all the time, and I also work part time at a pharmacy which I am changing my hours soon to fit around university. I have a fenced off garden space which is fine to allow dogs in for the toilet. There is a big downstairs space which is enough to allow the animals in and run about and sleep.

It’s our second time booking with them, and Chapo had been quite moody before we dropped him off, but as soon as we got to their house he was suddenly very happy, very excited, very waggy tail, thrilled to be back. “Maddie was super patient with our 3 month old puppy, Haribo. This was a booking made on extremely short notice due to a last minute cancellation by another sitter, and so we were extremely lucky that Maddie agreed to take him in for 2 nights. Moreover, she took the time to meet him before the booking and immediately put my and my husband's minds at ease. Haribo was definitely well-taken care of. She was very keen on sticking to his routines, was very caring and affectionate towards him. She took him to the dog park, watched Bluey with him, snuggled with him on the sofa, and took him out regularly. He had accidents but Maddie was so understanding about everything. Haribo def had the time of his life and is a happy pup 😍 we have requested another booking with her because she's amazing!”
