“A lovely couple who made sure that they kept Beauty in her comfort zone. They were exceptional at keeping us informed regarding Beauty's welfare. Richard and family did their very best to reduce any anxious behaviours exhibited by our dog. Thank you for the brilliant way in which you allayed both our and our dogs fears. I have no doubt that i will be booing again.”

About: I’m a caring, responsible dog owner living in the Holmfirth countryside with my dog Bella. I provide personalised, loving care and treat every dog like family. I work from home in the heat of the Holmfirth countryside, so I have plenty of time for cuddles, walks and belly rubs for your family friend. I live bang next to a wall fenced park in a quite part of Holmfirth with a gated dog area. I have my own dog, Bella a small frenchie that gets on really well with people and pets.
“Jack had cheese for the first time today and with him only being 4 months old and deaf I really expected him to struggle but looks like cheese has a new best friend! He did so well with him and sent lots of updates so kept me reassured on his first time away! Cheese can be a handful and jack seems to have taken it completely in his stride cant wait to book again! 🤗”

“Hannah is an amazing sitter. She was brilliant from the off. She looked after my 6 month old German Shepard puppy for a week whilst we were away. I was nervous about leaving her but Hannah made me feel really comfortable and my pup took to her straight away. Communication was great, got lots of pictures. So pleased with her care, would highly recommend and will use Hannah’s services again!”

“Claudia and the family were outstanding. The space is a dream for any dog. Super safe and brilliant for dogs who love the outdoors. Regular communication and really helped me out with a last minute request. 10/10”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced dog owner with many years of hands-on experience caring for my own dogs. I currently have two small, friendly dogs of my own, so I understand just how important it is to find someone you can genuinely trust with a much-loved member of the family. I’m patient, attentive and very happy to adapt to each dog’s individual personality and routine, whether that means leisurely sniff-filled walks, playtime, plenty of cuddles or simply some quiet company. I’m also comfortable caring for older dogs and dogs who prefer a gentler pace. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always come first, and I’m happy to follow their normal feeding, walking and care routines closely. I’ll also send regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing they’re happy and well cared for. My schedule is flexible, which allows me plenty of time to give your dog the attention and care they need. I’m available for regular or occasional walks, drop-in visits, doggy day care and overnight boarding. I’m happy to work around your dog’s existing routine wherever possible, including their usual walk, meal and rest times. I live with my partner Joe, who loves animals too and may occasionally help me with pets staying in our home. He is registered with Rover as an additional caretaker so your pet is always in safe hands. I have a secure, fenced garden and two friendly small dogs of my own. Any visiting dog would be introduced to them carefully, and I’m very happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand to make sure everyone is comfortable. I’ll follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking and sleeping routines and any specific care instructions you provide. Dogs in mine and Joe’s care will receive plenty of attention and will always be treated as part of the family.

“Kate was great with my dog. She was very communicative, clearly really enjoyed caring for him, and he took to her really well. It was so nice knowing he was happy, relaxed, and having a little play. I’d definitely recommend her.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs as part of my family and have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of breeds and temperaments. As an adult, I’ve owned Rottweilers, Bedlington Terriers, Cavapoos and Labradors, giving me confidence with dogs of all sizes, energy levels and personalities. I’m experienced in calmly managing everything from reactive dogs to very relaxed, easy-going companions. I’ve completed extensive training for a variety of needs from reactivity to anxiety and basic obedience. Alongside caring for my own dogs, I regularly dog-sit for friends and family and have also supported elderly people in my local area by providing reliable, friendly dog walking services. I treat every animal with patience, respect and genuine affection, always prioritising their safety and wellbeing. 🐾 I work from home on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and I’m available for boarding from Wednesday to Sunday when I’ll be at home all day to give your pets my undivided attention 🤍 I prioritise safety, routine and comfort when caring for pets in my home or a pet owner’s home. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, taking time to understand individual needs, routines and triggers. Environments are kept calm, clean and secure, with careful management of doors, gates and lead protocols. When dogs board with me, they enjoy a securely fenced garden with space to roam, and access to nearby green spaces, fields and woodland for safe, enriching walks. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including reactive dogs, and use calm, positive handling to help every pet feel settled and secure. I treat every animal as if they were my own and provide regular updates for peace of mind. 🐾
“Laura is absolutely lovely!! Our 14 year old cockapoo is such a home bird and can get really nervous when we aren’t there but Laura made her feel really settled and by the sounds our doggy had a great time, she came home happy and content!! She updated us and sent us pictures which we really appreciated! Libby is looking forward to her next stay with Laura 🤩”
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover based between Leeds and Manchester, we recently were devastated to lose our fox red Labrador, Callie. We have everything a dog could want, and a lot of love to dive, visiting dogs tend to settle in quickly and feel at home. I work from home full-time in an open-plan house, so your dog will always have company, supervision, and plenty of attention throughout the day—no long periods left alone. Our home is a relaxed, dog-friendly space where dogs are treated like part of the family. We’re lucky to have a fully enclosed garden with a secure double-gate system, so dogs can safely enjoy being outside whenever they like (weather permitting!). When it’s dry, they’re free to roam in and out as they please. Exercise is a big part of our routine. Our dog used to get three walks a day, usually up on the local moors and hills or along the canal—plenty of variety, fresh air, and stimulation. My wife, Lydia, is also a huge dog lover and often joins in, which means we can walk dogs separately if needed to suit their pace, personality, or training requirements. I understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your dog with someone, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos, messages, and reassurance while you’re away. If you’re looking for a safe, active, and loving home-from-home environment for your dog, I’d love to help. Feel free to get in touch with any questions! I work from home full time so am available for sitting any time. I’m out with our dog on walks twice a day so have no problem with walking responsibilities, and love a longer explore with the dog at the weekend. I have a fully enclosed garden, and I work looking on to it, so am always paying attention to the dogs. Our home is very pet friendly, with laminate flooring and an open plan downstairs, so dogs can have space but also always be seen.

About: I have grown up with working spaniels and labradors on a farm, as well as having these dogs as working they have been loved pets. They are walked 2/3 times a day which is either at the beach in Saltburn or in the woodlands. I live in Scissett at the moment and the countryside/woodland is just perfect to have a furry companion by my side to enjoy it with. I'm the kind of person who will cross the road purposely to pet a dog! I work full time, but I work from home 2/3 days a week. I'm always available to put in leave also if this makes sitting easier, or if you are happy with the dog to come into my office with me then you can sure expect them to be coming for coffee breaks and treats with me. Pets really are part of the family so they will be treated as so in my home, whether they would want to sleep on my bed, on their bed, or anywhere else that's fine with me. They would be given endless cuddles and love while being with me.
About: I’ve always loved being around dogs and genuinely enjoy having them as part of my day. I share a Border Terrier with my daughter, so I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to look after your dog when you can’t be there yourself. Over the years I’ve regularly looked after friends’, family members’, and neighbours’ dogs, and I love getting to know their different personalities. Whether they’re full of energy and want to play all day, or they’re happiest having a fuss and finding a cosy spot to nap, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them comfortable. One thing dogs seem to love about staying with me is the huge garden. There’s plenty of space to run around, explore, play fetch, or just sit and watch the world go by. I spend lots of time outdoors with them, making sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and company. I treat every dog as if they’re my own and do my best to stick to their usual routine so they feel settled and happy. My aim is for you to be able to relax while you’re away, knowing your dog is safe, well looked after, and getting lots of love and attention. Your pet will fit in very well with our daily routine. I only work around four hours a day, and my partner works later hours, so there’s usually someone at home throughout the day to provide company, attention, and care. Dogs staying with us won’t be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of opportunities for walks, playtime, garden time, and relaxation. We enjoy having dogs around and naturally include them in our day, making sure they get lots of attention, affection, and exercise while they’re with us. I understand how important it is for dogs to feel settled and secure, so I do my best to maintain their usual routine and make them feel like part of the family during their stay. We have a huge, fully fenced garden where dogs can safely run, play, explore, or simply relax and enjoy being outdoors. We’re also lucky to have beautiful moorland nearby, which is perfect for longer walks and giving dogs plenty of exercise, fresh air, and new scents to enjoy. Dogs staying with us become part of the family. I live with my two sons, aged 25 and 10, and we’re all huge dog lovers. There are always plenty of cuddles, fuss, and attention on offer, so your dog will never be short of company or affection. Whether your dog loves playing, exploring outdoors, or curling up for a cuddle, they’ll have lots of people around who genuinely enjoy spending time with them. We understand that every dog is different, so we’ll always follow your dog’s usual routine and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while they’re with us.
“Amy had our miniature poodle Bruno while we were having a few days of holidays. She kept us updated and sent lovely pictures. Lots of walks and time out with other furry friends. The weather was quite wet hence muddy pows after the walks but she really looked after him keeping him clean. He also gets on very well with Coco. Highly recommended”

“I couldn’t be any happier with the care Madison provided for our cat, Matilda. We had a visit prior to going away to discuss routine, personality etc., this all gave me peace of mind while we were away. During the visits we had updated and pictures. Arriving home, Matilda was happy which is a sign she was well cared for. I would highly recommend Madison to anyone looking for a pet-sitter! We will definitely be asking Madison again. Thank you for being such an angel x”

About: I've had cats since the age of 3, and never stopped having them. Alongside many other pets of all shapes and sizes. I started helping out a friend with her dog sitting jobs and it's continued from there. I've dog sat and walked , cat sat and checked up on friends and clients pets. One off walks and regular walks. From small senior Jack Russell to two bounding golden retrievers. I've had a good few years of experience now to offer more services . I'm currently working part time so I have the time to schedule in walks, house sitting/pet sitting and call ins. I have one ongoing walk with a Jack Russell and would like to take on more pet care work. Depending on what the owner wants , whether it's a routine walk, a pop in or a stay over. I'm happy to do it all. Happy to follow instructions to make sure your babies are happy and calm. My cat is an outdoor cat but understand some prefer theirs to stay in. With dogs I can make sure they are well seen to and will make sure I know how long they don't mind being left alone. Can pop in to fill up water and food bowls or to let any out to use to toilet.

Anyone who knows me will know I am a little bit obsessed with dogs, I've been known to cross many streets to pet the dog on the other side, because who would want to miss out on meeting a cute new dog? I work most weekends so am available during the week for any walks or checking in on your pets. I work most weekends, so have all the time in the week for walking, sitting or just popping in on your little fur babies when needed. About: I have experience with different breeds of dog after sitting/boarding for friends and family as well as on here. I live with my fiancé who is also able to help in a house with a fenced garden. We also have a 3 year old mini sausage dog (male) who is super gentle and a great playmate, therefore have lots of toys and comfy beds for the pooches to sleep in. He can be a bit shy at first so it would be great to do a meet&greet first! We would of course look after yours as well as we would our own. We usually take our sausage on a short walk first thing, again after lunchtime and before dinner but happy to adjust to any specific needs. We can provide attention and cuddles, walks and toilet breaks as long and often as the pooch needs, can also provide many toys and stimulation for them.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs my whole life, but recently I’ve dedicated all of my time to looking after them, gaining experience with a wide variety of breeds. Whether big or small, energetic or calm, I’ve had the chance to care for many different types of dogs, which has helped me understand their unique needs and personalities even better. I’m passionate about making sure every dog feels safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. When I’m house sitting / boarding, I treat each pet as if they were my own, ensuring they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I’m very attentive to their routines and preferences, so they can feel as relaxed and happy as possible. In any emergency, I’ll contact you immediately and take swift, responsible action to keep your pet safe and healthy. I also have experience with other pets like hamsters, guinea pigs, and cats, so I’m comfortable caring for a range of animals. I love all dog breeds, so no matter what kind of dog you have, they’re more than welcome with me. In fact, we used to dog-sit for my mum’s friends while they were on holiday, and their dog always loved staying with me—he was so excited to see me and loved our daily walks! I’m committed to providing the best care and companionship for your pets while you’re away! :) I am currently available mornings and afternoons at the moment! So can dog walk and can sit at any time during the day/night. Always available. I give them lots of play time, nice long walks, bathroom breaks and of course lots of rest. The house is safe no food is ever left out in reach.
About: The best thing about this job second to seeing your pets happy and in their natural behaviours, is receiving the amazing feedback from all the parents & carers of the pets I have the opportunity to meet and care for - it’s truly rewarding! The older cats & dogs which have an extra spring in their step, the dogs who eat when you find a way which works for them because you’ve realised their needs and made them comfortable, the pets who play & express themselves because they know you’re there for them 1 to 1. Cats, dogs, birds - and all animals to be honest - make me genuinely happy and present in the moment. I’ve loved animals and wildlife since forever. Volunteering in a pet shop at 10 years old, I cleaned the rabbit and hamster enclosures and fed the small animals. Since 17 I have taken care of my own 11 cats of all ages in several homes in the UK and China (including a 1-week old kitten who I had to bottle feed blind) and have completed multiple dog sits and walks. I now currently reside with my two boys, Tyson & Rossi, and since Halloween a lady cat who was hanging around the garden now named Lucky. Lucky was wandering for 12 weeks after her owner passed on and now she is part of our family. We have also been fostering a British long haired cat named Professor Pawsley for a month since a friend and previous client in New Mill passed away. Sadly three of the kitties from over the years have passed on; the others are with family and friends and I receive regular updates). The 1-week old when living in China for 3 years was just days old, his name is Ginge and he now lives happily with his three sibling kitties taken care of in Shenzhen by a good friend. I took care of him as a kitten, feeding him bottled formula, keeping him warm and training him to use a litter tray. I took in two 6 month old cats just before that and worked two jobs while looking after the three of them, with the help of my good friend Echo. Rossi who is now 1 year old, came to us last year in our Stockport home as an 8-week old kitten from a rescue centre and we already had Tyson at the time who was 2, we took him in from a friend’s friend who decided to go traveling. Introducing the boys I used scenting and separation to allow for less anxiety, before they finally met and now they love each other despite sometimes boisterously play fighting! Some of my experiences with pet sitting: I took care of two Jack Russell’s in 2015 for two weeks, walking them, feeding them and playing with them. The pups made house sitting much more fun and walking them at the reservoir daily was good exercise. About 8 months later I looked after my friends two cats for a week and a half while they were away. The year after I was baby sitting and dog sitting two dogs for a friends’ parent, just for one night but that was also a very smooth experience. Looking after my friends British Shorthair for a week in south of China (2018) was enjoyable, as I was living in a studio at the time on my own so I truly enjoyed the company. In 2020 post-pandemic I took care of my brother and his partners’ Yorkshire Terrier for three months while they were working long hours, walking him twice a day, playing with him and spending time bonding. It was in 2023 when I took care of my partners’ boss’ family German Shepherd and two domestic short-haired cats. Administering daily medication as the German shepherd was older, feeding, walking with careful consideration and playing were the tasks involved and they even slept with us while we stayed there for 10 days. I even spent some time with the sheep at the back of the garden! What was truly special was how Marcus explained his German shepherd was in such a good way when he got home he was so pleased to see him with good energy and ready for his morning walks. Every single morning, my first move is to feed the boys and girls and provide fresh drinking water at their four stations. This is always after greeting them of course! Sometimes I wake up to Rossi on my chest or next to my legs as he sleeps on the bed to my happiness. Tyson has softened as he never used to, but now also sometimes sleeps on the bed with us. After greeting, stroking and kisses, food and water is given. My partner and I then clean out the litter trays - five litter trays at the moment! Luckily we have three floors over a town-house so there’s enough space between. Almost daily I check the rechargeable batteries for the bunch of toys they have - we rotate to try and keep them engaged. I also play with teasers and bits of string and of course they love boxes. I talk to the babies as I feel this is important and comforting for our animals, we all need communication. Every few days or so I groom them with a brush and they enjoy treats such as Dreamies scattered on a play board and tuna in spring water every Friday and Saturday. For cats staying in our home, the house is already extremely safe & secure as we check this meticulously already for our own kitties. Everything is maintained to make sure the cats are safe inside the house, the catio is optional as it just fits right outside the front door without any gaps to get outside - but to a new cat we would probably leave the catio and keep them inside the house as there are plenty of rooms. If there were any issues we have a town-house style so three levels and rooms with secure doors so for example my partner could be with our boys in our bedroom and I could be with your kitty/kitties in the living room. We are very conscientious of food and cleaning up after cooking (onions, chocolate etc), cleaning products are in cupboards and we don’t buy flowers which are toxic we are very aware of these potential hazards. As for puppies in our home, the same as above. Preferably, for puppies and dogs, I would like to board/dog or dog (and cats if both) sit at your home - this would also allow your pets to be in their familiar environment.

“Perfect dog walker, able to deal with short notice and more than capable with some awkward dogs over 3 days! Very understanding and listened to all of my concerns regarding leaving my 2 dogs alone for the first time. Couldn’t be happier with the service and Richard as person! About: We've had our own family dog for 5 years now and bred our own puppies - keeping 2 of them. I've always loved walking them, and playing with them and am brilliant at long or fast walks designed to tire them out so you can watch them peacefully sleep all day without trouble and watch them be excited for their next walk or playdate I'm a uni student, so have quite an irregular timetable but plenty of time during the morning, day and evening for pets if worked out in advance. I can be very upfront about when I'm available and also generally have weekends free. I will strive to always talk to you about boundaries and rules for your pet before being left with them, as well as for myself. I keep a watchful eye on the pets - I'll always subconsciously want to be playing with them regardless
About: I have experience in caring for dogs and cats through my family & friends. I haven’t had my own pet due to previous work commitments. I currently work part time and my son is home during the hours I work so your pet would always have someone responsible with them. I have a secure garden space and access to lots of lovely walks in my area. Your pet will have access to the downstairs areas of my home and both myself and my son to play and care for them.

About: I have had dogs my whole life and have experience caring for a variety of other animals as well. I regularly look after friends’ and family members’ pets while they are away, ensuring they receive reliable and loving care. I also own horses and am responsible for their daily care, which has given me strong hands-on experience with animal handling, routine management, and overall wellbeing. I’m currently working part time, 3 days a week. Sometimes days change, but will be able to care for your pets after my daytime job, and anytime on my days off. I offer reliable drop-in visits to make sure your pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. During each visit, I provide fresh food and water, toilet breaks or litter changes, playtime, and plenty of attention and affection. I always follow your pet’s usual routine and can also administer medication if needed, ensuring they feel safe and relaxed in their own home.

About: I've grown up with animals, especially dogs. Whether it was my grandparents' German Shepherd or my own Jack Russell, I have an affinity with animals. I'm currently studying part-time and work part-time so there's a bit of flexibility for dog walking but it depends on my shift pattern. I'm an early riser, so morning walks are absolutely fine! I work 3 days a week in Lindley Huddersfield – pet sitting would be suitable if on certain days they can be left alone. Unfortunately I can't care for pets in my own home. Not because I don't want to but it's a rented property in a listed building.
About: I have taken great care of dogs ever since I was very young surrounded by a dog loving family. I have owned dogs of varying size and temperaments of which I have trained since they were puppies and walked, fed and bathed them every day since. I work part time so my availability is pretty much open. I am available for boarding over the weekends and for walks any afternoons/evenings :) I will ensure all gates are secure and collar/leads are securely fastened. The doggies will be watched over 24/7 and will be in safe hands

“Hannah is an amazing sitter. She was brilliant from the off. She looked after my 6 month old German Shepard puppy for a week whilst we were away. So pleased with her care, would highly recommend and will use Hannah’s services again!”

“Thank you Jordan for watching Daisy at extremely short notice.keeping me updated daily with how Daisy was doing I can’t thank you enough you are an absolute star. Kind regards Tony. Xxx”

“Buddy absolutely loved his stay for 2 nights. He was shattered when I picked him up. Kate and her family were brilliant with Buddy. I got regular updates and lovely photos. Will definitely use Kate again. Thank you so much”

“Emily and her family were incredible. They stepped in at the last minute to look after our 4‑year‑old Golden Retriever, and I’m genuinely grateful they did. From the moment he arrived, he was welcomed into their home and treated with such warmth and care. He was walked every day, and I received regular updates and photos — from happy garden lounging to cheerful walks and sweet moments with her son. It was obvious he felt completely relaxed and safe with them. He came home content, well looked after, and full of confidence. Knowing he was in such a loving family environment made the whole experience stress‑free for us. I would wholeheartedly recommend Emily and her family to anyone looking for reliable, kind, and genuinely caring dog sitters.”
