Michael was lovely and understood the importance of sticking as closely as possible to Otto's normal routine during his stay. He sent regular photo and message updates as requested and my boy just settled straight away in his home (which is lovely and quiet). I've already rebooked several times and I'm sure Michael and my Otto will be the best of friends. Thank you Michael, the best possible alternative to kennels

From first getting in touch to picking my dog up at the end, Kathryn has been nothing but flexible, kind and professional. It was a short notice booking and Kathryn accommodated us in every way possible. My dog loved his little holiday and settled straight away, I got regular updates and videos which made it easier. Would absolutely use Kathryn again and would recommend to anyone. Thanks very much for taking care of him.

About: I have been around pets all my life! I am a registered complex needs carer who currently works in the care sector, but I would like to care for animals fulltime as I do enjoy walking especially with dogs! I have a caring nature and I like to be physically active in all weathers! I have owned dogs, cats throughout my life. My current work allows me to select my own working schedule and therefore im in charge of my own time management. I would like to pet sit fulltime. Although I live on a busy road im fortunate to have a good sized garden which is completely walled. My home is secure and a good size. I live alone and I'm a non smoker and enjoy the company of animals. I have experience with reactive dogs and understand the needs of anxious dogs. I have experience of caring for adults in their own home and im cleaning and tidy and respectful of people's own homes. I have looked after friends dogs while they go on holiday. I'm happy to adapt walks to suit the needs of the pet - long hikes, medium walks or quick walkies! I can drive in my estate car to secure locations, hire a dog field or just walk locally. I live in a lovely town and have access to beautiful countryside on my doorstep. I understand owners can have particular routines for their pets and im more than happy to keep to routines.

We would be very happy to leave the dogs with Jamie again, they were clearly well looked after & happy. Definitely recommend and thank you very much.

About: I’ve been around animals since I was 8, growing up with a Jack Russell cross and a Staffy, and I’ve always loved caring for animals. I often look after my friends golden retrievers so also used to being around larger dogs. I now have my own 2-year-old British Shorthair, Mimi, who is neutered and very much part of the family. My partner has also grown up around a variety of animals, so we both have plenty of experience and genuinely enjoy being around pets. I’m comfortable caring for senior dogs who may need a little extra attention and understand that every dog has different needs and routines. I enjoy walking and spending time outdoors, so having a friendly dog along for the walk is a bonus! We’re looking forward to helping other pet owners out and giving their pets plenty of care, attention and cuddles while they’re away. I currently work full-time in marketing, which gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the week. My partner also works from home four days a week, so between us, we can easily fit pet care around our working day, whether that’s walks, feeding, playtime or simply giving your pet some company and attention. We’re also free on weekends, giving us plenty of time to give your pet some extra love and attention, with the added bonus of being able to take them on some lovely walks around the Yorkshire Dales 🐾 We want your pet to feel happy, comfortable and cared for while you’re away, and we’ll treat them as one of our own! ❤️ We have an enclosed garden with plenty of grass, sun and shade for your pet to relax in and go to the toilet! I can accommodate a crate trained dog (we can even supply the crate) or one that likes company to sleep next to 🫶🏼

Holly took great care of Pepper at very short notice due to a family member being ill. She was extremely accommodating and caring and thoughtful. Holly kindly sent lots of updates and photos of Pepper having the time of his life during his stay. He had the best time - running around with his ball, playing with Gary the Gull, meeting and playing with his new buddy Ronnie, swimming at Easby Abbey. I knew Pepper was in extremely capable hands from the moment I dropped him off. He was immediately at ease and that had a huge impact on me. I’ve already arranged for Pepper to go back to see Holly in a couple of weeks and Holly would be my go-to person for all future stays for Pepper. Thank you so so much Holly.

This was the first time we used Jessica, and we were not disappointed. From the messages before the visit to the care and photo updates while we were away, everything was excellent. Boris, being a bulldog, has specific food requirements and a set routine, which Jessica and her family adapted to perfectly. We felt completely reassured knowing he was in such good hands. We will definitely be using Jessica again in the future. Boris does not like the car and we always have trouble on collection but Jessica’s husband helped get Boris in the car with care, he is now snuggled up having had his favourite dinner , doing his favourite hobby of snoozing 💤

5* doesn’t quite seem enough! If I could give 10* I would. I’ve just picked up my nearly 18yr old terrier, for her stay at Wendy’s and I was greeted by a very happy and contented little dog. The care that Wendy gave was nothing more than supreme. With my little dog being an older age, it can be difficult finding someone and leaving her with them, but on my meet and great with Wendy, I knew I had nothing to worry about. Throughout the sit Wendy kept me updated and I could clearly see my little dog was happy with Wendy. Thank you Wendy for caring for Betty as if she was your own, and giving me such peace of mind.

I’m an active person with fields and walks a stones throw, also a fenced back garden and no other pets. Any needs for your dog I’m happy to discuss and accommodate as best as I can. I’m currently full time, however some days working from home and when I’m not I only work 10 minutes from home so can regularly pop in if I’m not already at home. Dogs have free roam to the ground floor of my house and fenced garden. Preferably dogs crate trained, however happy to accommodate if not. Our retriever Lily had a fantastic time with Sally for a long weekend. Sally cares enormously for the dogs she looks after which was clear from the messages and photos she sent us through Lily’s stay. It was so reassuring to receive these and see that Lily was out enjoying lots of walks and getting lots of attention at home too. Our flight was delayed coming home and Sally was really accommodating when we were a few hours late picking her up again. We highly recommend Sally and will definitely be in touch again when we next need some dog sitting.

About: Hello, thank you for looking at my profile 🙂 I am a huge dog lover and truly enjoy spending time hanging out with pups, be it our own or yours! Having grown up on a farms with dogs I have several years of experiencing as well as now owning my own 🫶🏼 I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your dog, and always treat every dog as if they were my own. I want your dog to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and happy while you’re away. Having two dogs myself, my home is very dog-friendly and a welcoming space where dogs can relax and be themselves. There’s plenty of room to move around, play, and settle in comfortably, whether your dog is energetic and playful or more laid-back and cuddly. I am happy to stick to your dog’s usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and downtime, so they feel right at home. I love to hike and get out into nature, and the dogs always come along for the ride! Being on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors there are have some amazing walks right on our doorstep 🍂 I know first hand that leaving your dog with someone new can be stressful, so I do my best to communicate clearly and make the experience easy and reassuring for both you and your dog. Daily pupdates are always available if you’d like that, as are introductory meet ups before your dogs stay with me so we can get to know each other. I hope to hear from you soon! 🐾 I work from home so am available every weekday and weekends for doggy care 🐕 Morning walks, lunchtime trots and perhaps even the odd run, they will get plenty of exercise and never be short of stimulation! The garden is fully fenced and dog proof, meaning no escapees! I have got a large open plan kitchen diner that can take a crate if needed for your dog, or if you’d rather they weren’t in a crate that’s also absolutely fine, we’ve got plenty of space for an extra snuggly bed!

Just returned from a short break to a very happy cat! Ruth visited each day to feed, water, clean tray and fuss over our cat whilst away. I'm so pleased I chose to have a cat sitter, using a cattery is not for us anymore as it stresses our cat too much. Very pleased I found Ruth, highly recommend her and will be my first contact when I need a sitter again. Thanks Ruth xx

So glad I discovered Kelly. My cat, Barry, and I instantly bonded with her. I got some lovely and amusing updates, with some great photos. I think Barry took a real shine to her & was subsequently quite disappointed to see me walk through the door upon my return. Kelly was happy to stay over her allotted time to make sure Barry had everything he needed. Communication has been great. Really happy with the service provided. I have already rebooked Kelly & have no issues in using her again if required in the future…..I know Barry will be delighted 😀

About: I live in the beautiful village of West Tanfield, surrounded by countryside walks right on my doorstep. I’m lucky to have access to a lovely river loop walk, open fields nearby, and regular trips to Thornborough Henges, which is fully fenced and perfect for safe exploring. I work from home most of the time, so your dog will have plenty of company and a calm, relaxed environment throughout the day. They’re more than welcome to join me in my home office — keeping me company as the “office dog” for the day. I’ve had dogs all my life and recently lost my beautiful black Labrador, Ralph, in January. While I’m not quite ready for another dog of my own, I would love to open my home to yours and give them the same love and care. My aim is to provide a true “home away from home” — dogs are welcome to relax freely in the house and garden, and be part of a safe, comfortable environment. I’ll always treat them as if they were my own. I work from home most days, so your dog will have plenty of company and care. I can only accept bookings when I’m working from home. I only take one dog at a time. Dogs are treated like family and I like them to feel relaxed, with free roam, sofas, beds, a garden fully secure, and countryside walks.

About: I've taken care of a variety of dogs, big & small and tend to each of their needs including: daily walks, feeding routines, training reinforcement and their individual personalities. Neighbours, friends and family have relied on me to look after and play with their pets for over 9years. I have my own Cocker Spaniel puppy so have experience looking after young dogs. I'm comfortable following owners instructions for their pets and want to make sure they are as happy as possible leaving their dogs with me. I'm currently working from home so I can be in the house at all times to play with and look after your pet! I'm available for boarding weekdays and weekends and can also go to your home during the day for check-ins and walks with your pet. I have a large fenced in garden for your pet to play in and a very friendly cocker spaniel to make friends with! My dog is crate trained so has his own bed area. I can easily set up a crate for your dog too if provided.

About: I have a love of all animals and treat everyone’s as my own. My home has plenty of space to accommodate all your pets requirements. I work part time from home so I am always around the house so your pet would not be left alone for more than an hour. I have a large enclosed garden with lockable gates to prevent access. My own pets have the run of the house and garden but each animal will be assessed and cared for as an individual and I have multiple rooms should some space from other animals be required.

About: I have loved and cared for dogs my entire life and have grown up in a dog loving home. My family has a French Bulldog who is now 12 years old, and I have been closely involved in his care throughout his life from a little pup all the way to a senior dog. I regularly look after him when my family are away, ensuring his daily routines are maintained and that he feels comfortable and well cared for. In addition to this, I frequently care for other family pets while they are on holiday, providing walking, feeding, and general day to day care. I am attentive, patient, and reliable, and I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and cared for as they would be at home. I am available for dog boarding, doggy daycare, dog walking and drop in visits on weekends. I can organise longer stays/visits upon request. For clients that choose dog boarding/dog sitting, I live with my partner who will also be in the house as he works at home full time. I provide a calm, safe, and attentive environment both in my home and in a pet owner’s home. In my home, dogs have plenty of room to relax and I also have a large, fully fenced garden where they can safely play and get fresh air. Outside of my home, I have access to lots of green spaces, which allows me to take dogs on regular walks in quiet surroundings. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I follow all instructions carefully to maintain their normal routines, including feeding, walking and any specific care needs.

About: I have been looking after animals for most of my life, and would be happy to help with other peoples furry friends. I have a 3 legged cat and a young (ish) friendly dog. I like an active house, and am always happy to go out for extra walks, and will get out in any weather for some fresh air and a run around. I have experience with dogs of all ages and from small to large breed, and am confident and calm with nervous dogs or those who have come from rescue and need a little more special tlc. I can look after your loved furry friend Monday to Friday in the afternoons and evenings in term time with more flexibility in the school holidays. The family pets have the run of the house, and also have an outdoor run to go into when the weather is good. Our dog has a blast out in the woods in the morning before breakfast to work up an appetite and then a walk or run later in the day. We also have a large garden and attached woodland for exploring and to keep active brains busy

I care for our extended family and friends dogs in my home while they go away on holiday. I lost my gorgeous dog four years ago and miss him terribly. I decided this would be a great way to enjoy having the company of a dog again. My dog was a whippet so I know what a good walk looks like! I am are registered on trusted house sitters and have five star reviews from all my sits. I have no dogs myself so your dog would be the only dog to be cared for whilst with me. You can go away knowing your dog would be having a lovely holiday with me while you are having your own holiday. They fit in as my pet for the duration of their stay. If I stayed in your home you could rest assured I know how to look after a home. I have been married for over 40 years. I have an acre garden so grass cutting does not faze me either.

About: I have grown up fostering dogs and since moving out of my parents I have rehomed a cocker spaniel that was in bad shape. I have brought her to the amazing, well mannered, highly trained girl she is now. She gets on with all dogs, though can be nervous. I believe that pets are part of the family and think they deserve to at least use our furniture, we are their whole world after all. I have extensive experience in training puppies and dogs alike and also pick up on any signs, body language and behavioural issues and can address these promptly to ensure a happy time for your pets. My mum is a dog groomer too so I have grown up knowing the ins and outs of many different breeds and temperaments in dogs. Pet care fits into my daily routine perfectly, being self employed allows me to take control of my own schedule. I love going for walks and hikes so what’s better than being able to also take pooches for long walks and adventures, as well as nice chilled time on the sofa. I have a large fenced garden and a cocker spaniel girl of my own to keep your furbaby company. We can crate our dog or your dog if needed. My mum is a dog groomer so I have picked up dog first aid from her, as well as tips and tricks to bathing tricky dogs too! I am in a large house so theres room for indoor play and cosy relaxation alike.

About: I have lots of experience caring for pets as my degree has allowed me to work in both kennels and catteries, getting to know different animals and how to care for them. I have always had pets in the house and have a great love for all animals. My degree is quite full on, however midweek and weekends I would be able fit you and your pet in. Being around animals is very important to me and I often drop anything for the opportunity to cuddle a cute pup I am not able to have pets in my home at the moment but would be more than happy looking after your pet in your home, or taking your dogs for walks. About: Since childhood, I have always had a family dog, so being around and caring for dogs has been a big part of my life. I’ve been volunteering most weekends at Holly Hedge Dog Sanctuary, whenever my work schedule allows. During my time there, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of dogs, each with different personalities and needs. This experience has not only shown my love for animals but has also helped me develop a strong confidence in looking after dogs and understanding their behavior. It's something I really enjoy and feel passionate about. My work schedule changes each week, so feel free to send me a message! Your dog will always be my top priority, and I will make sure to find time to give them the attention they deserve. I’m currently living in military accommodation on Catterick Camp. While my living area isn’t very spacious, I can guarantee that your dog will receive plenty of attention and care. I’ll make sure to take them out for walks in a secure and safe environment where they can enjoy themselves. Your dog's well-being is important to me, and I want to ensure they have the exercise, love and attention they need.

About: I've looked after my sister's large dog since she was a puppy, fed her and took her out for walks and minded her when my sister went away. I love when my friends bring their dogs when we go for walks so I can give them lots of attention and cuddles. When out in public I always stroke dogs with permission and talk to them Currently I have more free time than usual and I am available during the week and weekend for hourly/ daily visits and for overnight stays. I live in Hartlepool so I'd be willing to do drop in visits and walks for anyone living within 10 miles of me and I would stay in your home up to 35-40 miles away from where I live. But please ask as I might be able to make exceptions I can do walks/stays after 17:30 in the teesside area and potentially could do a drop in visit during the day depending on where you live I'd care for the pets in the owners home and follow the instructions they gave me about keeping their pets safe, hopefully this would make life easier for the owner

About: I’ve grown up and taken care of dogs near enough all my life, whether that’s for friends, family or colleagues and dogs ranging from working cockers and springers to Irish terriers to German Shepherds, puppies too. But dogs are not allowed upstairs so they will need to be happy sleeping by themselves downstairs if boarding.

We were really struggling to find a sitter for our dog Mochi as she loves humans but is very dog-reactive. Great dog otherwise, easy to look after if you're familiar with dogs but can be tricky at times. About a week before we were due to go on our holiday, we found Constancia. She had plenty of good reviews, the Star Sitter status and we would've been okay to leave our girl with her for two weeks based on that. Constancia responded really quickly to the query, asked to meet up to ensure it was a good fit for everyone and got to see where Mochi would be staying while we were away. Constancia explained what Mochi's day-to-day would be like in her home, where she'd sleep, showed the little garden etc., to ensure it was okay and was very receptive to what Mochi's routines are. During the holiday, I got messages, pictures and videos on Rover pretty much daily, giving updates regarding how it's going and how our girl's doing. At the end of the holiday, we picked our dog up with everything we dropped her off with and it was obvious Mochi had been very well looked after, cared for and loved in our absence. Mochi got particularly attached to Constancia's daughter during the stay and it was obvious it was mutual - she was so-so sweet with Mochi when we left. ❤️ Yes, quite possibly a slightly more expensive rate compared to other sitters on Rover, but got no regrets. Our dog was looked after as if she was their beloved pet and was in a home away from home. Will absolutely use Constancia's services in the future again, very trustworthy lady, family and home. A sincere thank you for taking such good care of Mochi in our absence, couldn't be more grateful. ❤️
