About: I'm currently a student Occupational Therapist who is really missing my family's pets while I'm at uni! 🐾 I love animals and know how important they are as valued members of the family! As a teenager I volunteered for the Cats Protection League and would clean litter trays for people in my local area who couldn't do so themselves. I would often dogsit for neighbours, and have even looked after someone's pet frogs before! 🐾 I adapt to whatever style of care your pet needs - some pets value calm and slow paced interactions, and some pets seem to have unlimited amounts of energy! My goal is to keep your pet happy in a style that is closest to their normal. 🐾 I am a very clean person, who will send regular updates via text and video. I have a fully enhanced DBS, and solid references :) 🐾

“Isabelle is a lovely young lady! She came for a visit before doing a few “drop ins” for me. She sent me photos and communicated well to make sure she knew exactly what my puppy needed when she came. Highly recommend her. 100% will be booking Isabelle again for drop ins / walks.”

“Toni was fantastic in caring for my cat Ruby. She took time to listen to her needs and contacted me with updates and photos during her visit. I came home to a very happy and relaxed cat. Ruby instantly took to Toni the moment she met her. I would highly recommend Toni to anyone requiring a cat sitter and I will definitely use her services again.”

About: Animals have always been a part of my life. Since I was a child our family home welcomed different kinds of pets and I enjoyed looking after them. I love being around animals as they simply make me smile and feel happy. In my home country we have a cat called Joey, a dog called Phoebe, and a hamster called Tengu. I also have taken care of friends and family's cats where I have fed, played and cared for them. I'm a reliable, patient and neat person. I work with children and I'm fully DBS checked. I'm happy to offer drop-in visits, pet and house-sitting services.

About: Although I do not have a life’s long experience with owning cats, I have learnt so much from my rescue cat. After a lot of love and attention he has become the loviest, most affectionate cat. I love to treat any animal like they’re my own. I am very familiar with being around all types of animals, and their well-being is my top priority.

About: I recently held a part time job working in a local kennel and cattery. In addition, prior to moving to England, I worked in a cattery in Dundee. This experience has allowed me to gain confidence working with smaller animals and understanding the care they require when they are away from their owners. In both placements, I had similar roles such as cleaning out the kennels, feeding the pets taking into account their dietary requirements and administering medication and leading conversations with owners to make sure the pets needs were met while they stayed with us. I developed an understanding of how stressful this environment can be for a pet separated from their owner and how this can be managed. This experience has helped me develop relationships with animals and their owners and gain their trust, an area of great importance when looking after animals. I spent three months volunteering six-hours per week at Parkhill Vets, Wetherby observing and participating in consultations and assisting peri and post-operatively. This experience provided an opportunity to develop communication, leadership, teamwork skills and understand the difficulties faced by practitioners and owners. confronted with emotional dilemmas such as euthanasia. I attended consultations on vaccinations, insurance and routine check-ups with opportunities to lead these consults under supervision, an experience I thrived in and grew in confidence. This opportunity was unfortunately shortened by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. I have experience working at the local kennels and cattery. I lead conversations with the clients to ensure the needs of the animals are met. Prior to this, I spent two years working at the Brae Riding School for the Disabled.

About: I’ve had cats my whole life and currently care for 5 of my own, so I understand how important it is for cats to feel safe, comfortable and loved while their owners are away. I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for cats of different ages, personalities and needs, from playful kittens to older cats who need extra patience and attention. I’ve provided drop-in visits for family, friends and clients for many years, including feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, playtime, cuddles and keeping cats company while maintaining their usual routine. I’m very patient, caring and passionate about animals, and I always make sure each cat feels relaxed and well looked after. I understand that every cat is different, so I take the time to build trust and make them feel comfortable at their own pace. I’m reliable, attentive and happy to send updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away. I’m currently working as a dental nurse 4 days a week, but I’m available for drop-in visits before and after work, as well as on my days off and weekends. I’m reliable, flexible and happy to work around your cat’s normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. As a cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone trustworthy, caring and attentive. I always make sure cats feel safe, comfortable and relaxed in their own environment while sticking closely to their normal routine.

About: I am 22 years old, from Boston Spa, Wetherby. Im active and love the outdoors where I spend my free time horse-riding. I recently graduated as an Equine Sports Science graduate, the study of horse biology and exercise physiology, which also covers cats and dogs, due to similarities. I’ve gained better knowledge of animal health/welfare, understanding of behaviour and first aid, all of which can be transferred to pet sitting. I’ve had the pleasure of having pets my entire life from family dogs, cats and horses, therefore, have a good understanding on how they work. I have previous experience in pet sitting as for the past few years I have dog sat as a part time job, gaining knowledge on caring for other dogs/cats on a deeper level, living with them in their own home whilst learning how pet sitting works (I can provide multiple references, if requested). In 2021, I travelled to Aruba for 3 months for work experience with animals. I shadowed at the local vets and worked at a sanctuary. After this I worked at an equine retraining centre in Australia for 4 months and lived with a family, caring for their 6 dachshunds and one great Dane! I understand every animal is unique, which is why I approach each pet with a tailored, gentle and professional mindset. With a strong background in animal care and genuine love for them, I create a stress-free environment where pets feel happy in their home. I am currently at University, however have my car so am available whenever needed ! I have my entire summer (may-sept) free too along with yearly holidays such as easter etc. I have a fenced off garden and live in the countryside, therefore there’s plenty of good walking routes. I have a cockerdore at home give them company. I also own a cat, so only cat friendly dogs please.
“Julius and Mila are lovely people and were very confident and relaxed with our dog. I’d be very happy to leave Snispy with them again and I recommend them to anybody looking for a sitter… 👍👍👍”

About: Hi, I'm Emily, a mum of two who has recently found herself with a little more time on her hands while taking a break from ICU nursing after 12 rewarding years in the profession. Because of my long working hours, we've never been in a position to have a dog of our own, but our family is absolutely dog-mad! I love any opportunity to care for dogs, whether that's pet-sitting for friends or taking their dogs out for walks. Having grown up in a home full of pets, including both dogs and cats, I've always been surrounded by animals and understand the love, care, and attention they need. I would love to combine my passion for animals with my enjoyment of the outdoors by helping to care for your furry friends. Whether it's walks, companionship, or pet sitting, I will treat your pets with the same care and affection as if they were my own. Following some recent family bereavements, I've taken the opportunity to reassess my priorities and spend more time doing things that bring me joy and fit around family life. As a result, I now have excellent availability, particularly during school hours. I am a reliable and trustworthy person with a strong background in caring for others. I hold a current DBS check and have spent my entire adult life working in healthcare, where responsibility, compassion, and attention to detail are essential. Caring for others comes naturally to me, and I will provide your pet with the same level of care, kindness, and dedication.

About: I have my own dog walking business. I've lived in Wetherby all my life and im proud to offer a trusted, local dog walking and pet care service loved by many in our community. My journey into dog walking began with my own rescue, Duke, who came to me as a reactive boy with a big personality. He taught me patience, confidence, and the incredible importance of understanding what dogs truly need, lessons that shaped how i care for every animal i meet. I'm IMDT accredited in canine body language, i've attended their puppy course and i continue to expand my qualifications. I'm canine first aid trained, and fully insured, with a wealth of knowledge across breeds and temperaments. Before starting my business, i had hands on experience working with all kind of animals from calves and lambs to collies on the farm, giving me a well rounded understanding of animal behaviour and care. Whether i'm walking your dog, visiting your puppy, or checking in on your cat, i treat every pet as if they were my own, with kindness, respect and a big dose of enthusiasm. I'm proud to be known locally as "Local, Loved, and Trusted" I work full time as a dog walker between 8am–3pm on weekdays, alongside pet sitting and cat care visits before and after these hours. My schedule varies daily as I plan walks in small, well-matched groups to suit each dog. Dogs in my care should be comfortable being left for up to 4–5 hours, although I often bring pet sitting dogs along with me so they can enjoy walks and social time. A walk is always included. I live with my boyfriend and our dog, and I have experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and ages. This is my full-time job, and I plan my days around the dogs in my care. I currently offer pet care in owners’ homes, as I have recently moved and am in the process of obtaining my home boarding licence. In your home, I follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and settled. I provide daily updates with photos via social media and text, so you always know how your pet is doing. I take pride in being clean, respectful, and leaving your home exactly as I found it, if not better. For walks, I use my own secure leads and provide an additional tag with my details for extra safety. I always prioritise your pet’s wellbeing, security, and comfort while in my care.
“Would recommend Danielle, she came to meet me and Dottie before the first dog walk. Everything went well on the day and I would definitely be happy to leave Dottie with Danielle again. Thank you.”

About: I adore dogs! I have helped run a dog kennels for over 3 years before I went travelling. I have also worked at a dog and cat animal charity for 1.5 years in Edinburgh, where I'm from. When I was travelling in Australia I also done dog walking as I needed my doggy fix down under as well. I had a family dog who was my absolute soul dog and best friend. I would care for your dog like it was my own furry pal. I currently work in the nhs supporting children with mental health issues. This is a challenging but very rewarding career. I do miss having furry, four legged friends in my life though. My schedule changes each week and I can be working different days each week but my work can be flexible if I'm given enough notice as to what days you need pet cover. We have a fenced garden at the back of the property. We now have our own golden retriever pup called ozzy who is the centre of our universe. Due to this I have put a hold on dog boarding in my house but still more than happy to drop by to owners houses to keep your pooch company as well as offer dog walking services.

About: Hi, I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and I’ve come back from university for a long holiday break and would love to welcome your dog into my family’s home to stay. I’m also available for dog walking and day care. We can offer a fenced and safe garden, comfortable sofa and plenty of time for cuddles, company, walks and playtime to all the dogs that stay with us. Our home is very dog friendly and full of treats and toys. We live local to the river and multiple green spaces for a variety of walks. Our family dog, Willow, is 5 years old, she’s an independent miniature poodle. I am happy to arrange a meet and greet before any booking if you would like to see how your dog gets on. I can also easily accommodate separate walks for your dog if you prefer. I want to make your pet feel like this is their home from home so if they have any special requests to make them feel comfortable then please feel free to ask 😁 I’m back from university so I’m available most days, including weekends. I will also be taking care of my own dog when my parents are at work, so I have plenty of time to spend with your dog. I can easily accommodate a dog crate, if your dog is happiest sleeping there. I have a medium-sized fenced garden and live close to Bootham park and the river for nice walks. Your dog is welcome on the sofa and my priority is making them welcome and comfortable.
About: I have grown up with a variety of animals my entire life, all varying in ages and sizes. I currently provide pet sitting and walking in addition to my current full time job for friends and family. This includes looking after my sister’s 11 month old puppy and training where possible. I am currently working full time Monday to Friday in a college. With my weekends free, I work from home on Mondays and Fridays which allow me to pet sit on these days, I can do overnight stays so long as I don’t have an event. With my job I sometimes do overtime which allows me to book off additional days for pet sitting should I need to. I prefer looking after pets in the pet owners home as I believe pets deserve to feel at home and safe, what safer space is there for them than a space they live in. I will provide the upmost care and respect in your home, I am also DBS checked

“Our retriever Lily had a fantastic time with Sally for a long weekend. Sally cares enormously for the dogs she looks after which was clear from the messages and photos she sent us through Lily’s stay. It was so reassuring to receive these and see that Lily was out enjoying lots of walks and getting lots of attention at home too. Our flight was delayed coming home and Sally was really accommodating when we were a few hours late picking her up again. We highly recommend Sally and will definitely be in touch again when we next need some dog sitting.”

“Martha was happy with Hollie which meant we could have a lovely relaxed weekend at a family wedding. She sent regular updates which reassured us that she was well looked after.”

“Laura has looked after our dog Laika multiple times over the last year and she is always happy to help with dog sitting even at the last minute. Laika always loves going to stay with them and has lots of other buddies to play with when she is there.”

“Very happy after leaving my dogs with Vivianne! We were sent pictures daily, and even a video of the dogs paying in the garden. The dogs came back home happy and didn’t smell bad (like they do if at a kennels!) Thank you again for looking after our dogs ☺️”

“Amanda is amazing!! From the very first contact I knew my boy would be well looked after. Amanda is genuinely a lovely person. As soon as we met you could see the love she has for dogs. Oreo settled really easily and I received lots of videos and pictures. I highly rate Amanda and will definitely be using again”

“Anastasia is amazing and looked after our dogs with so much care and attention. It was the first time they have been with her and they clearly had a great time. We were kept up to date with their care and after our flight was cancelled Anastasia was so flexible in keeping hold of them for a day. I would highly recommend Anastasia to look after your furry friends xx”

“My dog Bella stayed with Dawn for 8 nights, I was very apprehensive about leaving her as she has never stayed with a stranger before. I knew from the introductory visit that I had made the right choice, Dawn was no a longer a stranger to us and made us especially Bella very welcome, Dawn sent us daily updates on Bella which were very nice to see while we were away. I would use Dawn again and would certainly recommend her to family and friends.”

“Paul was amazing looking after our year old Golden Retriever Teddy. He had a lovely safe garden with security cameras for Teddy and his own two gorgeous dogs who Teddy was able to spend his week playing with! Teddy had lovely walks and cuddles and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Paul and his Family again, or recommend to anyone worried about leaving their dog..”

“Jamie is a lovely, professional guy who paid a lot of attention to Rocco before and during his stay while I was on the road with work. The comms were excellent, a lovely home, and good vibes. Thanks a million, Jamie 🙏”

“Thomas and his partner are excellent dog carers we left Rosie our Border Collie with them for a few days and she clearly had a great time. They are genuine dog lovers which both we as the owners and Rosie as the spoilt brat, really appreciated…I would highly recommend them.”

“We felt completely happy leaving Roxy with Nathan. She is quite strong and can get a bit over excited as she's only 1yr old but Nathan handled her really well and got her calm and settled. We had regular updates and pics and he always consulted us before doing anything he was unsure of with her. Would definitely leave Roxy with him again.”

“Helen and Andy were absolutely amazing with our dog, Kobe! This was Kobe’s first time staying away from home, so we were a bit nervous— especially since he’s an energetic miniature cockapoo, but they made the entire experience really good and reassuring. From the start, it was clear they were both experienced with handling high-energy dogs. Kobe instantly took to them, which says a lot. They kept him active, engaged, and happy the whole time, and we could tell he was getting plenty of attention and care. We also really appreciated the regular updates—they gave us peace of mind knowing Kobe was doing great and having fun (especially playing with Bonnie!). We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Helen and Andy again! Thank you!”

“Absolutely — here’s a warm, glowing version that really highlights how brilliant they were: Sharron and Steve were absolutely incredible looking after Dexter! From the moment I dropped him off, they completely put my mind at ease and I knew he was in the best possible hands. Dexter is a very energetic spaniel, but they took everything in their stride and gave him so much love, attention and care during his stay. It was clear from the updates and photos that Dexter was having the absolute best time, and he came home happy and settled — it was obvious he had thoroughly enjoyed himself! I honestly couldn’t have asked for better sitters, and I’m so grateful for how wonderfully they looked after him. Thank you so much for everything, Sharron and Steve. You were both absolutely brilliant, and I would 100% recommend you to anyone. We will definitely be coming back in the future! ❤️”

“Steve was absolutely amazing with Cassie. She seemed to have really enjoyed her time with Steve and had plenty of walks with him. That much that she didn't want to leave.Would definitely book with Steve again and 100% recommend him.”

“Mel & Lewis were the best dogsitters I could ask for. My dog couldn’t have been happier, and I couldn’t have asked for more trustworthy sitters. They always provided me with updates during the stay, and most importantly gave my blind pup all the love she needed. They recognised all her needs and made her feel at home from the beginning. Would reccommend them to anyone!”

“Rosina was truly amazing. Our two cats - Kenzo and Mitsu - settled in almost immediately. She not only provided daily updates but we received videos of our two cats playing, resting and just being cats. Loved it! She provided a clean, caring, cat-loving holiday home for our two. I cannot thank Rosina enough. Our cats are calmer, happier and even more playful.❤️ Five star plus. We will be using her services anytime we go away - short or longer breaks. Worth every penny and more! Thank you once again Rover for connecting us with Rosina. Kind regards, From Layla And Yaz”

“Ádám looked after our Italian Greyhound, Bean, for almost a week. He’s very knowledgable about dogs was great at sending us regular updates and letting us know how she was getting on which we loved! Bean had a great time, we’d definitely recommend Ádám and will definitely be booking with him again in the future.”
