“We were looking for day and overnight care for Ollie and Pippa last minute as we needed to go to visit a friend who is very unwell. We hadn’t used Sarah before and had only left our doggies with other minders on a couple of occasions. After our initial contact with Sarah we arranged a meet and greet on Monday prior to our trip on Tuesday. Sarah was very friendly and extremely helpful in accommodating our request. She carefully listened to us regarding our doggies needs and we felt comfortable and confident in leaving them in her care. During their stay with her she kept us updated which further reassured us that all was well and that they were happy. Sarah provided an excellent service and we will definitely use her again (if she will have us!) It’s not always easy to find good care hence the reason that we don’t leave our doggies very often. About: We’ve loved taking care of cats for a long time now, housesitting for friends and family, and now all over the world! We absolutely adore all kinds of cats and kittens and have gotten to know so many little personalities along the way. We always make sure our cats are well fed, watered and played with! We always empty out litter trays as needed so that all our cats are kept clean and comfortable. The most we’ve looked after in one sit was three cats, who were an absolute delight.
About: Hello! I am a dog and cat lover, and have lots of experience with both kinds of pets. I have spent a lot of time with my aunts dogs - Labradors and mixes - some of whom have struggled with anxiety. My aunts dogs have primarily been Guide Dog rejects, they have gone through the training but ultimately didn’t pass their tests. I also have experience dog/house sitting for up to a week. My family has a cat and I have volunteered at cat shelters previously so I’m well equipped to care for cats too. In my free time I love to run, read, and do yoga, and I have lots of energy so I’m ready to tire out your pup. I am available days/evenings Mon-Fri.
About: I have 5 granddogs, 2 grandcats, 2 grandpigs, 2 goddogs and numerous canine and cat nephews and nieces (not blood of course, they are the furry kids of my friends). They’re family 😁 Usually only available between June and January as I live in Colombia January to May. However do feel free to ask, especially if the dates that you require are close to the limits. If I'm here I can adapt my schedule. I work remotely as a geeky historical writer, so can be pretty much anywhere and what can be better than doing that whilst making new furry friends. I treat them as family, except when the sharing of food is the question. I don’t share food, just like my English goddog, Percy, doesn’t share his bone. With regard to communication - the number listed is now obsolete - my new number is Colombian because I live in Colombia for six months each year - Unfortunately Rover does not have a Colombia option. About: I have always LOVED dogs and have grown up surrounded by them, caring for a variety of breeds, including Retrievers, Westies, Labradors, and Bearded Collies. I’ve successfully raised and trained many dogs with ease. I live with my husband, Terry, who equally loves dogs, along with our two very friendly, unneutered Retrievers and a cat. About: I raised my 5 year old cocker spaniel, who loves ditch-the-bowl training. I'm a freelance outdoor instructor offering stimulating, long winter walks with new scents to enrich happy dogs. My two dogs enjoy morning and evening walks. With the garden always open, I provide 1-2 long weekday walks and adventurous weekend outings away from Sherborne. My garden is fenced, so they cannot escape. My two dogs will keep your dog company who are both very friendly and are used to other dogs staying. If they were to travel in the van I have seat belt clips, clips and a crate in the rear. I have a crate if your dog needs it's own space in the house too (Rusty sleeps under the stairs and Indi can sleep in our bedroom, so your dog can either sleep in the kitchen or living room). If you needed me to stay at your house, then I don't have to bring my dogs as my partner also works from home. We love dogs! We don't have children so they get a lot of fuss. I tend to use kibble/treats on their first walk with a retractable lead, to get a sense of recall and connection with the dog.
About: Everyone around me will agree that I am absolutely obsessed with animals. Any animal that has come into my care has had a life of luxury. My partner and I have had endless comments on how well behaved our dogs are. My experience ranges from young dogs through to senior dogs, Including cats and sadly we lost my old cat last year. He was my best friend and the attachment we had was rare. I think about him every day. My senior dog is supported when she has harder days, especially when certain walks can be challenging for her. I will carry her up bigger steps and walk at her pace. Like humans we get bored with the same routine and so we vary the walks we go on. Whether it is a trip to the beach, a walk in the woods or running around an open field, rest assured they will have plenty of fun. I also work part-time in care and my dogs like to come with me, they are such good therapy. I will happily walk a client's dog as I like to help out where I can. My parents live locally and will quiet often have our dogs as company, they recently lost their dog and the loss has left a hole in their hearts. I will always take any instructions seriously and what wish for your pet is my command. I want you and your pet to feel comfortable knowing they will get the best care. ANY animal in my care will be loved and cherished like my own. I have plenty of free time. My partner takes our dogs to work and they also stay part-time with my parents. We don't have children and very little commitments. I work part-time and I luckily have flexibility from day to day. I have all the right safety measures in place. This includes plenty of room and 0.25 acres of land with plenty of local walks. My garden is secure.

About: I am a practicing and Registered Veterinary Nurse offering specialist boarding for your dog. I have 27 years experience in the veterinary field. If your dog has extra special health requirements which can make finding a boarding service difficult - I am your person! I have a particular soft spot for geriatric dogs :) Equally, if you just want someone with veterinary qualifications to give the absolute best of care to your dog, please do get in contact. For me to accept any booking all dogs must be up to date with VETERINARY PRESCRIBED flea treatments. I also do not accept any dogs fed on a raw diet. Please also ensure that all of your pets health care details are filled out on your profile so that I can review their needs :) I currently work nights in an emergency and critical care role at a referral veterinary hospital. I work 7 nights on followed by 14 off. I am offering my home to your pet and/or other services during the 14 days I am at home and off work. I recently lost my own 16 year old dog so have a perfect dog shaped vacancy to love! I have no other pets of my own or children. If I have any work calls whilst at your home I will let you know timings in advance, but this will not impact your pet sitting/daycare experience in any way! If your pet is coming to my home. “Thank god for Debbie. From our first meet and greet and how well our dog Buddy took to her, we knew we found a special, trustworthy, genuine person to care for Buddy, whilst we were away. Debbie provided such an excellent service and made sure we were kept updated with messages and photos during Buddy’s stay. And we could tell he was being so well cared for, which in turn made our holiday away more enjoyable as we could properly relax knowing he was so happy and settled. “We were looking for day and overnight care for Ollie and Pippa last minute as we needed to go to visit a friend who is very unwell. We hadn’t used Sarah before and had only left our doggies with other minders on a couple of occasions. After our initial contact with Sarah we arranged a meet and greet on Monday prior to our trip on Tuesday. Sarah was very friendly and extremely helpful in accommodating our request. She carefully listened to us regarding our doggies needs and we felt comfortable and confident in leaving them in her care. During their stay with her she kept us updated which further reassured us that all was well and that they were happy. Sarah provided an excellent service and we will definitely use her again (if she will have us!) It’s not always easy to find good care hence the reason that we don’t leave our doggies very often. It is good to know that we will now be able to leave them more often with someone that they like and we trust. Thank you so much Sarah & Saul 🐾”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 6 and have always looked after friends and family dogs. I’m at ease with all types of dogs, big or small, reactive or easy going. I work from home so your dog will always have company. My dog and I usually go out for two walks a day but am happy to fit around your usual schedule. I have a fenced garden with a friendly and playful dog. We have a big garden so lots of room to run, play and sniff

“This was the first time I had left Olive overnight with someone other than my family and to say I was nervous is an understatement. I needn't have worried at all, Sue took exceptional care of Olive. I recieved photos and videos of Olive along with messages from Sue letting me know how she was getting on. Olive got lots of cuddles and seems to have settled in really well. Sue had even cleaned her food and water bowls for me, it's a small detail but it shows how much effort she went to. I will definitely be booking Olive with Sue again. Thank you!”
