About: Derek and I have only ever had rescue dogs, not puppies. We appreciate they have had a rough start and need time and patience and lots of encouragement to feel safe and comfortable. We have do looked after multiple friends dogs over the years and have decided that we could help others to have a decent break/work/holiday knowing that their loved furry friend is in capable, safe care. We have rescued older dogs as they get overlooked. We have had to house train kenneled dogs - it’s been a challenge!! But worth it 🤩 I am currently available daily and will have plenty of time with your doggo. My husband works from home so there is always someone around. Walks in our local woods and playtime on the garden will be frequent. Chill time is also important. Dogs are allowed on the sofa so will feel welcome if that’s their thing😊 We have a secure fenced garden. We have a 13 year old Parsons terrier- Steve - he is chilled and loves dog company. We have a lovely wooded walk close by which is shady on those hot days. I will be happy to send pics/ updates of your pooch as often as you feel will be helpful to ensure you are also happy your dog is happy 😊 we can arrange that when we meet. Our home becomes your pets home for the duration of the stay. We will discuss your preferences so that we can maintain the routines/ boundaries that you have in place for your dog. About: I've grown up around cats from when I was a kid, my first being a Bengal named Toto. As a kitten he was as chaotic as you could imagine, but mellowed as he got older. I now havey own fur baby named Nova, who I have had since she was 11 weeks old. As well as growing up with cats, I also grew up with a whole range of animals from dogs, rabbits, hamsters to large farm animals. Before moving to Kent 3 years ago, I lived in North Yorkshire when I worked at a boarding kennel and cattery looking after many different people's wonderful pets. I later moved on to becoming a Zoo Keeper and specialised in feline care. I have always been an animal lover and will take any opportunity to look after or play with any animal no matter the species, so I am happy to pet sit other animals such as rabbits, birds, fish, reptiles, etc.

Unfortunately, we lost Caleb in October 2022, and whilst we weren't ready to take on another furbaby, late November, Elphie fell right into the palms of our hands, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Not only have they left pawprints on our hearts, we've also had many rabbits, and currently have three who keep us busy! We also have an adorable hamster, who likes to tease Elphie at night. I have previously worked as an Animal-Assisted Therapy Practitioner, with my rabbits, but have since moved onto another venture. Animals are still very much a huge part of our life. There are plenty of woodlands surrounding our house so we do an hours walk there most mornings, sometimes we’ll go to Reculver or Hampton instead. Just let me know if your doggo is allowed off the lead or not. We also do a shorter walk in the evening to stretch their legs before bed. I have a very secure fenced garden for them to run around in and an open plan living/dining area so they have plenty of space for play and rest. About: I have been fostering dogs, old, young, and sick for 5 years. We adopted our lurcher 2 years ago. He is a playful 2 year old, so I need to use treats/ and discipline quite a lot. I have had dogs growing up, and just love to be around all types of dog. I’m at home most of the time. Not currently back at work after maternity leave. I take my dog out at least once a day. So can fit something in most days! I have a fully fenced garden and gate. The house is open plan, however if you need your dog cornered off or my dog cornered off we have baby gates everywhere to help with that.

About: I am originally from North Yorkshire and have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life; my first being a Labrador called Shawkie and a Shetland Sheepdog called Pepper. Since then, I have grown up with Border Collies and shorthaired cats. I have since moved to Kent, and I now have my own cat named Nova, who I have had since she was 11 weeks old. I have helped friends and family from a young age with walking and caring for their own dogs, and then went on to work at a boarding kennel and cattery before becoming a Zoo Keeper. About: Throughout my life we’ve always had dogs, cats and even reptiles- from Yorkshire terriers and beared dragons up to Boa constrictors and our current Rottweilers I’ve personally trained 4 Rottweilers (3 males 1 bitch) and had the pleasure of raising over 30 pups over the years. As with all big dogs it’s a short life and we’ve recently lost 3 of our 4 (13yrs, 12yrs and 11yrs) a great innings considering their life expectancy we lost our girl due to old age and two males due to cancer- Due to the incredible focus needed to have these breeds it’s given me and my partner great first hand experience of dealing with power, reactive behaviour and general big dog issues. We swear and live by proactive measures ensuring that we avoid tense situations and all cost and do all teaching via reinforcement and care. We spend all and every weekend exploring the uk countryside with Odin, so we’re looking to be able to care for dogs that fit into that lifestyle We live on a large boat, which is out of the water at the moment- we have safety nets and ramps set up so all areas are accessible and safe.
