“Cherise was very friendly and our dogs loved her. We felt very comfortable leaving her to look after our two dogs and booked her again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, friendly dog sitter who genuinely loves pets.”

About: I have experience caring for Border Terriers, Jack Russells, Llasa Apso, and have worked as a dog groomer in the past. I am DBS checked. I welcome a meet-and-greet before the first booking so that you and your dog can get to know me. I currently work part-time from my own home so I am very flexible for drop-in visits throughout the week, offering daytime or/and evening slots. As the owner of an indoor cat, I am familiar with the needs of cats living in flats, from carefully checking window security to keeping litter trays spotless. I will treat your cat and home with respect, provide attentive and consistent care, and keep you updated throughout your time away. I am also happy to arrange an introductory meeting before your first booking, giving you and your cat the chance to get to know me. “I’m so happy with the care and skill with which Jane looked after my 2 cats during twice-daily drop-ins at home in Layton. She is experienced and thorough and I really felt that the cats were in good hands whilst I was away. I returned to happy, contented (and properly medicated) kitties and the whole process was seamless for them and me. Jane followed all my instructions and has a keen eye to notice if anything is wrong or needs any attention. Getting daily photos of the cats and updates from her was a delight! Thank you Jane, from Mel”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life, starting in childhood, and it's a passion that's never faded. I raised my own dog from a puppy, so I understand firsthand what it takes to house-train, socialize, and build good habits with young dogs — from teaching basic commands to managing that puppy energy safely. I also volunteer with the RSPCA, which has given me hands-on experience with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds, including rescues, anxious dogs, and seniors needing a little extra patience and gentle care. Whether it's a quick drop-in to feed and let your pup out, or a longer walk to tire them out, I treat every dog like my own — with patience, attention, and genuine love for the job. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I can easily build pet visits and walks around my day rather than squeezing them into a rushed window. That flexibility lets me be responsive too — if you need a last-minute visit or your schedule changes, I can usually adjust to make it work. Your pet's wellbeing isn't an add-on for me; it's something I can genuinely prioritize and check in on throughout the day. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect and care as I would my own. I follow your instructions closely — feeding schedules, medication, routines, and any specific rules you have (e.g. no furniture, certain rooms off-limits, leash preferences). I always make sure doors and gates are securely closed before and after visits, keep an eye out for anything that seems off with your pet's behaviour or health, and will contact you straight away if I'm ever concerned. For walks, I keep dogs securely leashed at all times, avoid busy roads or off-leash areas unless you've said it's okay, and stay alert to other dogs, wildlife, or hazards along the route. I also make sure your home is left exactly as I found it — lights, doors, and any security measures back to how you left them. Your pet's safety and comfort always come first, and I'm happy to send updates or photos during visits so you have peace of mind while you're away.
“A rare find is Georgia. Someone we totally trust with our precious little girl. The care and attention given is wonderful and the pictures she sends let's us know how happy Rica is with Georgia.”

About: I have grown up with all kinds of pets from a very young age and most recently owned a rabbit (Domino), who reached the grand age of 12. I have looked after many dogs over the years, including my sister's Cocker Spaniel, a friend's French Bulldog and a family who owned 5 dogs including Chihuahuas, a German Shepherd and a Staffie. I work full-time (Monday - Friday), 9am until 5pm. Most of my evenings and weekends are available. I am currently unable to have my own pet but will gladly help to look after everyone else's in the meantime. I currently have no pets at home, so your pet will get my full attention. I enjoy fluffy cuddles even if your pet has white fur and I'm all in black! I am more than happy to follow a routine you already have in place and appreciate every pet is has different needs
About: I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for providing the best care to all pets. I had my dog for almost 13 years and prior to that, we would dog sit for family friends going away. I have recently adopted an older rescue cat on lifelong medication. With my profession I am comfortable with caring for all kinds of pets including reptiles and rodents. I also have experience medicating a myriad of species so would be happy to assist with this if your pet(s) require anything throughout the day. Growing up I've volunteered and worked at a number of different kennels and catteries local to me and I have since been volunteering at a cat sanctuary for almost three years and love spending my free time with animals. I am a very active person with my favourite hobbies being walking and going to the gym so you can rest assured I would meet your pets exercise and enrichment needs to keep them happy and settled in your absence. My services include home boarding with your pets, walking, bathing, medicating, house visits and spending quality time with your pets in your absence. I’m currently working part time so my mornings and evenings are typically free on the days I work and I have the whole day free on my days off to spend with your fur-babies I’m comfortable keeping your pets as close to their typical routine as possible to keep them stress-free. I can walk and medicate at the same times of day and can regularly update you with pictures for piece of mind

About: Dog mad since childhood and after losing my own dog in 2009, I set up a rescue in his honour. Over 15 years of helping rescue and rehome dogs as well as injury and trauma rehab. I’ve also run a dog shelter single handed with over 40 dogs. All proceeds go towards my dog rescue project 🐾 I am fully dedicated to dogs. My project ........ involves me working and fundraising in the UK and then going abroad to rescue in places of critical need. They last 6 years I’ve been doing this mostly between London and Turkiye where they passed a law to massacre stray dogs. When I’m in London, I stay at my best friend’s place near Vauxhall station to keep overheads low. I usually care for dog’s at the owner’s home but can occasionally accommodate depending on which rescue dogs I’m caring for at the time.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Little Layton
Sue was a 10/10 hire. She looked after our 2 senior cats while we were away. Sue was very attentive and it is clear that she has the care of the cats at heart, not just for the money. You won't regret having Sue look after your fur babies and we won't hesitate to have her in our house again. Sent updates daily and wanted to know the ins and outs of our cats routines for their comfort. Thank you Sue!

This was our first time using Ellie, and we have already tentatively booked her for our next one. Excellent communication both before and during the visits, photos on each visit and the place has been left immaculate. Our normally hesitant rescue cats took to her immediately - always a good sign for us!

Lovely lady and would highly recommend. Came to meet roo first which we thought was lovely and put is both at ease and roo loves her! Messaged us throughout visit with pictures and updates will be using again thank u so much Melanie. Love lisa wayne and little roo x
