“We are very happy with the care Dobby received. She was very calm and happy when we picked her up, and it was clear that she had a lovely time. Thank you so much for looking after her and making her feel comfortable in your home. We really appreciate your kindness and would definitely recommend you to other dog owners. 😊”

“Danielle and her partner Dan were fantastic from the very first message. They gave Winnie a proper home from home stay, she loved every second of it and was honestly so lovely to see how much they loved Winnie. Amazing sitters and pup carers! 10/10 from us and would highly recommend. Winnie will be visiting again in no time I’m absolutely sure of it 🩶”

“As someone who never used dog boarding before, we were initially very reluctant and anxious. Our pets have been our family for years, most especially our senior dog (who’s 13 yrs old-he’s been with us since he was a pup), there was that fear, even thinking about the idea but because its necessary, we just have to do it. We are very thankful that James and Jane really took care of Pierre and Zaki. James is reassuring and made us feel confident that there isn't anything to worry about. He kept us updated and was responsive all throughout Pierre and Zaki’s stay. We are glad we got to the right sitters the first time and we do recommend them in anyone’s future pet services.”

“Very friendly couple and attentive to my pet who can be challenging. Sarah sent me loads of photos and updates about my dog which was reassuring. Would definitely book again!”

“What a couple of great guys! Michael and Geoff, were the perfect hosts :-) Kim loved her trial night and we feel confident to leave our dog with them while we go on two long haul holidays. We feel so relived to have found such great pet sitters in our local area, and can now relax and look forward to our holidays. Great communication and regular updates. These guys are sure to be in demand! See you soon xx”

“Great communication before and during booking. Felt happy leaving our dogs with Lisa and the dogs came back looking like they had a great time. Recieved pictures of the pups while we were away which I loved. They looked happy and content 😍 Would highly recommend and book again. Thank you”

“Our little Yorkie, Toby, had another very happy stay with Melissa. She really looks after him very well and he enjoys spending time there with her own 2 small dogs. Thank you Melissa.”

“Jess was brilliant with our dog, we were regularly updated with messages and pictures. She was very well cared for and we would have no hesitation in recommending Jess or using her again.”

“Jo was fantastic! She took great care of Teddy and kept us updated the whole time. Teddy came home happy and relaxed, although I think he wanted to stay a little longer. Highly recommend Jo for anyone needing a reliable, caring dog sitter!”

“Angus was the first sitter we have used through the Rover service. We could not be happier with the way he cared for Della, our 12 yr old Patterdale Terrier. We received regular updates throughout the duration of her stay and she received such loving care.”

“Maggie Thank you very much for looking after Halle. It seems like she has had a good stay with you: lots of varied and frequent walks ( she does like variety!) and has come home looking fit and well groomed - despite the weather!”

“Absolutely perfect boarding experience, lovely family, plenty of photos and updates! Max was playing with the little girl in the garden and went on a long walk! He’s been fast asleep since I picked him up, he didn’t want to leave, bless him! Would definitely recommend this sitter! Thank you so much xx”

“Ella is honestly the absolute best, I could not shout it louder! Jim has been staying with her various times for a while now, since he was a pup and every time he’s come home sulking as he wants to stay! We’ve been going through a personal rough patch and she’s been amazing accommodating us! Jim came home with a Halloween gift basket this time and some treats which honestly nearly made my hormonal self cry! To put into context how much Jim loves going to Ella’s, when we pulled up for his stay this time, the door was open for 1 second before he knew where he was and ran faster than the speed of light to her door 😂 highly recommend, been a saviour for us!”

“Sarge absolutely loved his time with Lauren, he made himself at home straight away and Lauren sent lots of pupdates, it was so reassuring to know that Sarge was comfortable and being well looked after. I wish I lived more locally because I’d have a dog sitter for life with Lauren if I could. Thank you so much!”

“Bluey and haggis had a lovely time with Janice. Highly recommend. Received regular updates and photos of Bluey and haggis, made me feel better about leaving them in their friendly and loving home. Thank you very much x”

“Kat was amazing, this was our first time leaving kevin with anyone who wasnt family. She kept us up to date with photos and made us feel so comfortable leaving him with her!”

“On handover on Saturday, Lydia made my wife and I feel reassured that Teddy would be cared for whilst we stayed in Manchester overnight. She listens to us and provides Teddy with as much attention and routine as if he were at home. We'll consider again in the future.”

“I cannot recommend Paula high enough. My cats loved her and she kept in touch all the time I was away. What a lovely lady and true cat lover. Thank you so much and see you again. ”

“Sue was a 10/10 hire. She looked after our 2 senior cats while we were away. Sue was very attentive and it is clear that she has the care of the cats at heart, not just for the money. You won't regret having Sue look after your fur babies and we won't hesitate to have her in our house again. Sent updates daily and wanted to know the ins and outs of our cats routines for their comfort. Thank you Sue!”

About: Hello, I’m Lisa, a caring and reliable cat lover offering personalised cat-sitting services. I have experience with animals having worked as a dog groomer. I understand that every cat has their own personality, preferences and routine, and I will ensure they feel safe, comfortable and well cared for while you are away including playtime, cuddles and companionship—always at your cat’s pace.

“Jane was fantastic. She did 2 drop in visits for my 3 cats. 2 are nervous rescue cats who seem entirely unperturbed by the whole event so I know she was fab with them. The other is an my 16 yr old cat who has some health issues. Jane administered medication (crushed tablets and liquid) as well as feeding all 3 and cleaning up after them. I was so grateful that Jane took such good care of my poorly old cat with no complaint at all. Could not have asked for more!”

“Lovely lady and would highly recommend. Came to meet roo first which we thought was lovely and put is both at ease and roo loves her! Messaged us throughout visit with pictures and updates will be using again thank u so much Melanie. Love lisa wayne and little roo x”

About: While I've never owned a cat myself, I grew up around them — my nan always had cats, so I've been comfortable with them from a young age. I've also looked after cats for friends and family over the years, doing feeding, litter box care, and check-ins while owners are away. I understand that cats need a calmer, more independent approach than dogs — respecting their space, sticking to their routine, and letting them come to me on their own terms.

“Georgia was so amazing with my cat George looked after him for the full night and kept me updated throughout the whole time with photos and messages which I really appreciated. I will be using Georgia again, because she was just fantastic with George and so lovely. Thank you Georgia 😊”

About: I’ve worked in catteries when I was a teenager and have now spent the last 3 years working/volunteering at a local cat sanctuary. I have handling experience with a vast spectrum of cats of all different sizes during my veterinary nursing degree.

About: I have 5 cats at home currently and they are literally my best friends, and I now I’m their’s too (don’t tell my brother). I love a good cuddle and a chase around the house with a fake mouse, and I’m also not new to hairballs, sick, and smelly litter trays !

About: Hi, I have always been an animal lover and, having grown up with a cat in the family home from the age of 2 years old, I have a particular affection for our feline friends. I have been a cat owner on and off for the whole of my adult life and have often looked after family's and friend's pets (cats, dogs, fish, birds and even a rat) whilst they have been away on holiday. I am honest and reliable and will lovingly care for you pet(s) so that you can rest assured that they are being well looked after in your absence.

About: Hi! I’m Elisabeth (or Libby) I’m 19 years old and have had cats my entire life, with years of experience as the main caregiver for my family pets. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds including short-haired domestic cats and large, long-haired Maine Coons, so I understand that different cats have different grooming, attention, and care needs. I’m experienced with feeding routines, litter cleaning, playtime, grooming, and helping cats feel comfortable and relaxed in their own environment. I’m confident with basic animal first aid skills and experienced in recognising signs that a cat may be unwell or uncomfortable. I’ve also helped manage veterinary care for family pets, including taking part in video consultations with vets and carrying out checks such as monitoring teeth and gum health under veterinary guidance. I’m planning to study Animal Behaviour at undergraduate level in the future because I’m passionate about animal care and understanding behaviour and wellbeing. I’m also trustworthy, respectful, and responsible when caring for pets in other people’s homes, making sure your cat, your home, and their routine are all cared for properly while you’re away.

“Adam has been brilliant with Lily. She can be quite an anxious dog, especially around new people and places, but Adam has taken real care to make her feel welcome and settled. The extra effort he's put in to build her trust hasn't gone unnoticed and it's made such a difference. Highly recommend — thank you Adam!”

“We were in Blackpool for a family event and we left our 2 labs with Cherise. She gave regular pupsates and truly seemed to care about them. We were so pleased with the care she gave to them both. Will definitely use Cherise again when we comeback up”

“Bruno absolutely loved his time with Ella. And is now a very tired puppy ! Thank you ever so much for having him , and for the toy (he has already destroyed it 🤣) . 5⭐️ would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a sitter !”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover who genuinely misses having a dog around after losing my beloved pup of 8 years last year. I am looking to bring that same level of care, patience, and warmth to looking after your dogs and cats! I work from home most of the time, but because my schedule involves occasional travel, I offer flexible, ad-hoc visits rather than fixed weekly commitments. Working from home most of the time makes hosting doggy daycare a fantastic win-win—it gives me great company during the workday while providing your pet with lots of affection! Because I travel occasionally, I offer flexible, ad-hoc daycare and evening drop-ins rather than fixed weekly commitments, plus occasional weekend visits. Note: Open to occasionally hosting small, well-behaved dogs during WFH days! Having owned a dog for 8 years and worked in a cattery for 2 years, safety and calm handling are my top priorities. I treat every pet owner's home with total respect, closely follow your specific feeding and care routines, and provide attentive, low-stress care tailored to your pet.

About: I’d say what sets me apart is how attentive and patient I am with every pet I look after. I take the time to understand their individual personalities, routines, and needs so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’m experienced with both young and senior pets — I’m happy to help reinforce basic training for puppies, and I’m also gentle and mindful when caring for older animals who may need a slower pace, medication, or extra attention. I’m reliable, communicative, and I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you have peace of mind. I treat every pet like they’re my own, making sure they’re not just looked after, but genuinely cared for and happy Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, as I plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, play, and check-ins. I make sure I’m available for consistent care throughout the day, whether that’s morning and evening walks or regular companionship. On a weekly basis, I keep my schedule flexible so I can adapt to each pet’s needs, including longer stays or more frequent visits if required. I prioritise reliability and routine, so pets feel comfortable and well cared for at all times. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always make sure the environment is secure, clean, and calm, with plenty of space for them to relax and feel at ease. I’m attentive to routines, feeding instructions, and any specific needs like medication or mobility support. I take time to build trust with each pet so they feel comfortable with me, and I keep a close eye on their behaviour and wellbeing at all times. I’m also happy to provide regular updates, so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

“Graham was truly amazing having Doris for us we really felt Doris would be fine as soon as we got to his house when she jumped all over him and got lots of fuss. Doris had so much fun there and would definitely go again as she loved spending the day with Graham. We would definitely ask Graham next time and hopefully 🤞Aggie, Jace & Doris thank you !”

“Our cockapoo is quite an anxious little character so we’re always slightly concerned about placing him in the care of someone else. Any such worries were immediately dispelled by Lisa’s calm and reassuring approach. Ossie warmed to Lisa immediately and we left him with her knowing he’d be loved and looked after. Very happy to recommend her unreservedly.”

“Otis spent the day with Jayne and James in preparation for a longer stay with them. The regular photos and videos helped me to feel reassured that Otis was having a lovely time with a caring, friendly couple - he was happy and settled when I collected him and I feel happy that he was well looked after, and will be on his future stays.”

They are the perfect companions which is why I have recently decided to join rover, to spend more time with these beautiful, faithful and loyal animals. I currently work Monday - Friday full time hours. I am free most weekends and evenings. I work from home so can look after dogs during the day occasionally. “My dog has been in Jola’s care for the past few weeks, and I couldn’t be happier. She is truly wonderful — incredibly kind, reliable, and with a natural, intuitive approach to dogs. It’s clear how much she genuinely cares. My dog absolutely loves her and gets so excited every time he sees her. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and exceptional to care for their pet.”
“This is the first time we have used a dog service for our dogs and wish we would have found Michael and Geoff sooner! The good thing about them is they walk our staffies alone unlike other dog walkers where they have a few dogs at a time. We are also going to use them for boarding too in the future as they have a secure garden with no other dogs which is perfect! Communication is great and they are flexible and reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone!”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life, starting in childhood, and it's a passion that's never faded. I raised my own dog from a puppy, so I understand firsthand what it takes to house-train, socialize, and build good habits with young dogs — from teaching basic commands to managing that puppy energy safely. I also volunteer with the RSPCA, which has given me hands-on experience with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds, including rescues, anxious dogs, and seniors needing a little extra patience and gentle care. Whether it's a quick drop-in to feed and let your pup out, or a longer walk to tire them out, I treat every dog like my own — with patience, attention, and genuine love for the job. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I can easily build pet visits and walks around my day rather than squeezing them into a rushed window. That flexibility lets me be responsive too — if you need a last-minute visit or your schedule changes, I can usually adjust to make it work. Your pet's wellbeing isn't an add-on for me; it's something I can genuinely prioritize and check in on throughout the day. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect and care as I would my own. I follow your instructions closely — feeding schedules, medication, routines, and any specific rules you have (e.g. no furniture, certain rooms off-limits, leash preferences). I always make sure doors and gates are securely closed before and after visits, keep an eye out for anything that seems off with your pet's behaviour or health, and will contact you straight away if I'm ever concerned. For walks, I keep dogs securely leashed at all times, avoid busy roads or off-leash areas unless you've said it's okay, and stay alert to other dogs, wildlife, or hazards along the route. I also make sure your home is left exactly as I found it — lights, doors, and any security measures back to how you left them. Your pet's safety and comfort always come first, and I'm happy to send updates or photos during visits so you have peace of mind while you're away.
About: Hello, my name is Lisa and my husband is Stuart. We live in Thornton in Lancashire. We have two grown up children, neither of which live at home and two school age grandchildren who visit who have been brought up with dogs so know how to be respectful of them. We have a lovely quiet household on a very quiet street with a safe fully enclosed garden. We have been married for over 30 years and have had dogs for most of this time. We do not have a dog currently as we lost our beloved Chihuahua in April 22 and our much loved Yorkshire Terrier in January 23. We consider ourselves to be experienced dog owners in both behavioural and health issues. I am animal first aid and animal CPR trained. During our Chihuahuas lifetime we dealt with luxating patella for which she had surgery, epilepsy and heart failure for which we had to administer and monitor medication, we also studied home dog behavioural courses to manage her extreme nervousness. This experience enabled us to become very dog knowledgeable and we educated ourselves to help us to understand all of their quirks and the reasons for certain behaviour. I have recently retired as a Nurse from the nhs which is great news for any pet staying with us as I am now around most of the time each day to give them my full attention. My husband is self employed so therefore extremely flexible and is able to go home several times a day to see and walk a dog if for any reason I was out. Any dog in our care would never be left alone for any longer than 2-3 hours. We are an active couple in our spare time and we have a touring caravan which we originally bought to allow us to take our pets everywhere with us. We spend a lot of weekends in the Lake District and other lovely places and would be happy to take your dog with us for a little holiday. Your dog will be kept safe and taken to the Vet immediately should it be required. We are happy to administer medication. They will be groomed if required and I am happy to attend to their dental care. I have recently retired as a Nurse which is great news for any pet staying with us as I am now at home much more giving your pets my undivided attention. I work full-time (Monday - Friday), 9am until 5pm. Most of my evenings and weekends are available. I am currently unable to have my own pet but will gladly help to look after everyone else's in the meantime. I currently have no pets at home, so your pet will get my full attention. About: I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for providing the best care to all pets. I had my dog for almost 13 years and prior to that, we would dog sit for family friends going away. I have recently adopted an older rescue cat on lifelong medication. With my profession I am comfortable with caring for all kinds of pets including reptiles and rodents. I also have experience medicating a myriad of species so would be happy to assist with this if your pet(s) require anything throughout the day. Growing up I've volunteered and worked at a number of different kennels and catteries local to me and I have since been volunteering at a cat sanctuary for almost three years and love spending my free time with animals. I am a very active person with my favourite hobbies being walking and going to the gym so you can rest assured I would meet your pets exercise and enrichment needs to keep them happy and settled in your absence. My services include home boarding with your pets, walking, bathing, medicating, house visits and spending quality time with your pets in your absence. I’m currently working part time so my mornings and evenings are typically free on the days I work and I have the whole day free on my days off to spend with your fur-babies I’m comfortable keeping your pets as close to their typical routine as possible to keep them stress-free. I can walk and medicate at the same times of day and can regularly update you with pictures for piece of mind
About: Hi, I'm Josie and I've always loved animals. As a child, I had 4 tropical fish and a hamster and I was hooked. Caring for animals took a back seat to my education but as a young adult, I had the opportunity to live with my friend's adorable tabby cat and I was reminded of my passion. Looking after pets became my job and I love it. I want to dedicate more time to this and improve my skills in caring for pets. Services I provide: Pet Walking, Sitting and Drop In Visits. Unfortunately, I cannot board pets at home since I live in rented property. By dedicating to pet care full time, I have more time to dedicate to pet care. I am usually free all week apart from Fridays and Sunday. Refer to my calendar for my availability and please feel free to get in contact with any questions. As I will be in your home, I will have all the necessary equipment needed. Coupled with my knowledge, experience and care, I can tackle any and every situation skillfully and safely.

About: Dog mad since childhood and after losing my own dog in 2009, I set up a rescue in his honour. Over 15 years of helping rescue and rehome dogs as well as injury and trauma rehab. I’ve also run a dog shelter single handed with over 40 dogs. All proceeds go towards my dog rescue project 🐾 I am fully dedicated to dogs. My project ........ involves me working and fundraising in the UK and then going abroad to rescue in places of critical need. They last 6 years I’ve been doing this mostly between London and Turkiye where they passed a law to massacre stray dogs. When I’m in London, I stay at my best friend’s place near Vauxhall station to keep overheads low. I usually care for dog’s at the owner’s home but can occasionally accommodate depending on which rescue dogs I’m caring for at the time.

About: Hi! I’m Elisabeth or Libby, I’m 19 years old and have grown up with dogs my whole life. I’ve had hands-on experience caring fora variety of breeds like Labradors, Staffies, and Scottish Terriers, and have been the main caregiver for my family and friends dogs for years. This has given me experience with different temperaments, exercise needs, and routines — from energetic walks and playtime to calmer companionship and daily care. I’m confident with basic animal first aid skills and experienced in spotting signs that a pet may be unwell or behaving differently from normal. Through caring for family pets, I’ve also had experience communicating with vets, including assisting during video consultations and carrying out checks such as inspecting teeth and gum health under veterinary guidance. I’m planning to study Animal Behaviour at undergraduate level in September, as working with and understanding animals is something I’m genuinely passionate about. I’m also respectful, reliable, and trustworthy when caring for pets in other people’s homes, making sure both your dog and your home are looked after carefully while you’re away. Hi! I’m a reliable and caring animal lover currently taking some time before starting university in September after finishing college. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat your pets like my own! Your pet’s safety, comfort, health, and happiness are always my top priorities. I understand how important routines, patience, and trust are when caring for someone’s pet, and I always aim to make owners feel confident and reassured while they’re away. I take pride in keeping both my own flat and clients’ homes clean, tidy, and well cared for at all times. During walks, I always prioritise safety by using secure leads, staying attentive to surroundings, and making sure pets are exercised responsibly and comfortably. Living by the seafront also allows me to offer enjoyable beachfront walks, giving dogs fresh air, exercise, and a calm environment to explore safely. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual health and wellbeing, ensuring they receive the care, affection, and attention they need to feel safe, relaxed, and happy. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing in a peaceful environment by the sea, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well looked after at all times.
“Georgia was kind enough to come back after my wimpy scared of unfamiliar cars boy wouldn't get in her van! So she came back to ours and walked him on the field near our house and Odin came back a very happy and tired boy. Georgia is clearly an animal lover and has a special way with dogs, she was confident enough to walk Odin off lead which I'm happy about as that's what he's used to. I can't thank her enough for putting me at ease with the pictures and video as she's pet sitting Odin in our home in July for our wedding. Odin is looking forward to it I'm sure. Thankyou Georgia!”

About: From an older lab to husky puppies and rescues I have always been surrounded by pups. My lovely but anxious rescued lurcher has shown me how a little love can allow our companions personalities to bloom. I’m an undergraduate student on summer break so I have all the time necessary to give your best friend all the attention they might need. I have a large home in town centre and a gated outdoor area. Just a short walk from the beach there is plenty of opportunity for sunset walks.
About: I’ve had my cat since she was 8 weeks old—she’s now around 2 and a half, happy, healthy, and spoiled! Since joining Rover, I’ve also looked after a puppy named Reuben for about 6 weeks, and I’ve completed a few cat sitting jobs. I understand the care and attention pets need, and I’m always happy to help other pet owners feel at ease when they’re away. I’m currently unemployed and looking for work, so I’m fully available for pet care. I enjoy spending time with animals and like to keep busy with side hustles and helping out other pet owners. Pet sitting fits perfectly into my routine right now. I live in a spacious ground floor flat with a small shared garden. It’s very cat-friendly with toys, a cat tower, and cozy spots to relax. My cat enjoys going out on nice days and always comes back home safely. Pets are welcome on the sofa and bed—just like my own! I take pride in creating a safe, calm, and loving environment for animals.

“Very friendly couple and attentive to my pet who can be challenging. Sarah sent me loads of photos and updates about my dog which was reassuring. Would definitely book again!”

“My boy has been so well looked after by Christina. He’s had the best time, Christina has sent lots of updates throughout the weekend, lots of video, pictures and text updates to let me know how he was getting on. I really couldn’t have picked a better sitter for Buddy. We will definitely be using Christina again, I think Buddy would insist on it 🤭”

“Reece has been really accommodating for Zeus who has come back very happy! I’m very grateful he was able to take my Zeus on at such short notice and there wasn’t anything too difficult when it came to understanding Zeus’ needs. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed receiving lovely photos of him so often with constant updates as it isn’t something I’ve received often when using a sitter! I’ll definitely use Reece’s services again :)”
