About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family always had rescue dogs, and every single one came with their own story, personality, and little quirks. Living with rescue dogs taught me that no two dogs are the same, and that patience, kindness, and understanding go a long way in helping them feel safe and happy. These days I share my home with an 8 y.o. Standard Dachshund. If you know the breed, you'll know they've got plenty of opinions and a wonderfully stubborn streak! Thanks to him, I've become an expert in negotiating with tiny but determined dogs and have learned that sometimes the best approach is simply a little patience (and the occasional treat). We live a very active lifestyle, spending weekends exploring the New Forest and Wareham Forest, where every interesting smell deserves a thorough investigation. We also love trips to the beach, where a paddle, or an enthusiastic swim is always on the agenda if the weather allows. Whether your dog loves long adventures, leisurely sniffy walks, energetic playtime, or simply wants someone calm and caring to keep them company, I'll make sure they feel right at home. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and pace, and I'm happy to adapt to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. My goal is simple: to care for your dog as if they were one of my own. I'm primarily available for weekend bookings, making me a great choice if you're planning a weekend away, attending an event, or simply need someone reliable to care for your dog. While you're enjoying your time away, you can relax knowing they'll have plenty of attention, companionship, exercise, and all the care they need in a loving home environment. Your dog's safety and comfort are my priority. I have a secure, fenced garden for safe outdoor time, and my Dachshund is gentle of other dogs, especially those who may be feeling a little anxious. If they want to have a play around then there's plenty of space for it. Every dog is different, so I'll adapt to their needs, whether they enjoy belly rubs, lots of company, or prefer their own space. Dogs are welcome on the living room furniture for cuddles, and at bedtime they'll sleep in their own cosy bed in the bedroom.

About: I'm David, currently completing my professional dog trainer certification. I offer patient, structured care for dogs of all ages and temperaments — from energetic pups needing a good walk to older dogs who just want a calm, familiar face. My training background means I'm confident handling leash manners, basic obedience, and dogs who need a bit of extra structure or reassurance while their owners are away. Based in Poole, I treat every dog in my care like my own — with consistency, patience, and genuine attention. Monday to Thursday is when I'm most available for drop-ins. I also work night shifts on weekends, so I can fit in daytime visits before my shift starts on those days too. I keep a consistent schedule so your dog can rely on the same times and pace each visit, and I'm happy to discuss specific timing needs before booking to make sure it works for both of us. Your dog's safety is my top priority. I use secure leashes and harnesses, avoid off-lead situations unless explicitly agreed with you, and stay alert to other dogs, traffic, and wildlife on every walk. I'm currently completing professional dog trainer certification, which means I'm trained to read canine body language and step in early if a situation looks like it could escalate.

Here's what makes my setup a bit different: I work from a dog-friendly office with a dedicated 'dog only' pen area, which means your pup comes along with me and is never stuck home alone for hours. Their day is full - plenty of walks, lots of play and engagement activities, safe spaces to run around, and comfy couches and beds to flop on when it's time to wind down. They get exercise, company, and proper rest - all in a safe environment at home and in the office. You'll never be left wondering how they're doing either. I send regular photo and video updates throughout the stay. I'm also always happy to set up a FaceTime so you can check in and say hello while you're away. Overnight boarding - your dog's home away from home: Overnight stays are what I do best. My husband and I travel a fair bit ourselves, so we know exactly how it feels to leave your dog behind - and how much it matters to have someone you and your dog(s) genuinely trust. When your pup stays with us, they're treated like one of our own: full days of walks, play, and company, comfy couches and beds to relax on, and a secure home with a fully fenced garden. You'll never be left wondering how they're doing either. I send regular photo and video updates throughout the stay and I'm always happy to set up a FaceTime so you can check in and say hello while you're away. I also offer doggy daycare, but overnight boarding is my heart and focus. Your dog will be in a secure, dog savvy home with a fully fenced garden (1.2-2m all the way around) for safe exploring - though they're never out unsupervised. It's a calm household, just me and my husband, no cats or kids, with two friendly resident dogs for easy, sociable company (both of our dogs have a relaxed temperament and very friendly to fit with any personality - Brody is 6 and Kira is 2). During a stay with us, your dog will never be shut away alone.
