“Karen is a wonderful trainer! She listens to my concerns and her training methods have always worked great. My puppy and I highly recommend her!”

Rachelle T.

“If I could give Rachelle 100 stars, I would!! She is wonderful!! She is my 2nd trainer. (1st one NOT from Rover). I finished up with my previous trainer, but, felt like I, (not my puppy), was not fully trained yet! I felt like I needed a second opinion. What was I doing wrong?! Rachelle helped me to understand that my puppy is going through puberty, and I kind of need to do things on his time, so as not to get us both stressed out. I felt like he needed to learn everything, NOW, or I was a failure!!! She absolutely put my mind at ease. She did not rush the session, and stayed with me until I was more comfortable with the training. She also introduced my puppy and I to the clicker. Game changer!!! It is like magic!! And the price…WOW! She is half as much as I was paying for my previous trainer. Worth every penny, and much much more! If you are on the fence as to who to choose, or debating training, at all, go for it!”
Isha D.
“Isha has a real gift with dogs, she just 'gets' them! I've known her through our dog rescue where she has fostered and trained several dogs to get them ready for their new homes. She has a genuine love for dogs and prioritizes their well being when she trains them. Most recently, Isha has helped train our rescue dog, Lucky, who had a difficult start in life and had quite a few fear-related issues when we first pulled him from the shelter. In just 2 sessions with Isha, Lucky began opening up and today is a confident, well-behaved, and happy dog!”
Vivian T.

“Vivian was very informative and so patient with me and Sage to run it through our consultation. I’ve learned more about Sage during that entire session than I have since I’ve had her and it opened a world of possibilities for me and Sage to explore and grow thanks to her help- would recommend her for trick and clicker training alongside reactivity management as well!”

Aaron J.

“I had a fantastic experience working with Aaron. He helped introduce my dog to my mother’s dog—both seniors—and this was a big deal because my dog typically doesn’t do well with other dogs. Aaron immediately made all of us feel at ease. He paid close attention to their body language, moved at a thoughtful pace, and explained what he was seeing in a way that really reassured me. I went into the session extremely nervous, but it went so much better than I ever expected. Aaron is positive, knowledgeable, and clearly skilled at what he does. By the end, so much of my anxiety was lifted. We still have work to do, but it feels amazing to have such a strong, encouraging start. I’m truly grateful for his help.”
Macey F.
“Beyond having an amazing personality, Macey is a wonderful dog handler and trainer. She is reliable, consistent, and eager to teach new dogs and their handlers. She will always 100% put the dog needs first and foremost. I’ve had pinky pie for about 3 years; Pinky was a failed out service dog (being to friendly/loving) her last home before me made her scared of the world due to cruel human. It was a long road but transformation and confidence we grew from training with Macey is incredible!!”

About: I strive to get to the bottom on the problem , what makes your pet different do what they do. A 1 month training program will not fix a whole life of disobedience , anxiety ect. But i can making a firm foundation to grow from is key.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions about Dog Training on Rover
To list on Rover, trainers must:
Pass a third-party background check
Show proof of education or certification in dog training
Commit to rewards-based training
Rewards-based training encourages dogs to offer desired behaviors by reinforcing the behavior with something the dog likes, including treats, play, or toys. Rewards-based training prioritizes using the least intrusive intervention; it promotes thinking rather than punishing mistakes.
When rewards are used, the likelihood the behavior is repeated increases. The positive connection to the reward results in making learning enjoyable, strengthens the human-animal bond and over time leads to consistent desired behaviors.
Training can happen many places — your home, a park, a store, or anywhere else that you and your trainer decide is best for the training you are doing! Many trainers will recommend training in your home. This allows them to observe your dog in their natural environment so they can effectively assess and best help reach your training goals.
Trainers will often mention on their profile where they typically hold training sessions, but you can always contact a trainer to learn more!
No problem! When you initially contact a trainer, you will be prompted to select a proposed first session date — this is not final, and is confirmed only if both parties decide to move forward. We also recommend contacting multiple trainers to make sure you find a trainer that is the right fit for you and your pet.
Of course! Having a trainer that is the right fit for both you and your pup is an important step to reaching your training goals. We recommend reaching out to any trainer that interests you. Your initial request is not final until both you and the trainer decide you want to move forward with booking.
Also, trainers may offer or require consultations. Make sure to ask trainers so you can make the best decision for you and your pet.
Many trainers on Rover indicate experience in a wide range of behaviors, from puppy training to more advanced behaviors and training types.
Review a trainer's profile to see if their experience aligns with your needs, and if you have questions, don't hesitate to contact them to ensure they're the right trainer for you and your pet.
