Learn effective communication
I completed a 6 month training program at Amanda Gagnon Dog Training (UWS) before passing my CCPDT certification exam. I have experience with puppies and basic training and some experience with more difficult dogs as I have fostered 5 wonderful, exuberant, sometimes anxious dogs from ACC. My beautiful blonde pit mix has taught me a lot about dog body language, effective communication, and creative ways to train while having fun.

What to expect
Consultation
During your consultation we will go over as much as possible so I can get to know your dog and the behaviors we hope to modify. Be prepared to have homework!
Sessions
Training sessions will be different for each dog, tailored to address the specific needs of your animal and you as their handler! Be prepared to put in the work. As a trainer, I can guide and advise you but the brunt of the work will be done when I am not there, it is essential that you are ready to dedicate time and effort to your pup!
More info
I believe dog training should be free of aversives and should improve the bond between dog and human. Dogs don’t understand English unless we teach them it! A lot of basic training problems can be resolved with patience and clear communication.
