Communicative Positive Dog Coach
I specialize in seeing how I can help pet parents start from where they're at. I actively listen to what's going on and provide feedback and coaching from a place of compassion.

What to expect
Consultation
We'll start with talking about your goals and then work through related behaviors inside and outside. I want to see how you work with your dog so this will involve you showing me what methods you may already be using, if any, and what cues you have taught your dog already. Then we will talk about a general structure for how to get from where you're at to where you'd like to go. Make sure to have a copy of your pet's vaccinations, a typical collar or harness, training treats, and poop bags available.
Sessions
In our training sessions we'll start with our goals for the day and bonus goals. These will be broken down into our goals around the 3 D's of training, duration, distance, and distraction. In between sessions you'll want to continue to practice the exercises in short training sessions on your own. The more you practice the more proficient your pup will be and I'm always available for any questions.
More info
I use strictly positive training methods to the extent that I pretend like words such as no and off are not even in my vocabulary. While these may seem effective in the short term, they aren't capable of helping build your bond with your pet and good choices in the long term. When it comes to positive training it is important to create a focus on marking positive behavior and learning methods to redirect. I'm particularly interested in working with clients that would like to learn clicker training and work on loose leash walking.
