AKC CGC Evaluator and CPDT
Hi, I’m Dyese! I’m an AKC CGC Evaluator & CPDT providing professional, relationship based dog training to enhance communication between owner/pet teams! With a background in rescue and shelter work, extensive experience at doggy daycares, training alongside big-name companies, and shaping some newer ones, I love what I do and tell anyone willing to listen that I have the best job in the world because, let’s be real here — who wouldn’t love working with dogs all day? From basic puppy training to the more challenging behavior modification cases, every dog has a place in my programs.

What to expect
Consultation
During your consultation, we’ll review your dog’s behavior, have the opportunity to discuss the catalyst for your interest in training, your training goals, and develop a customized curriculum to suit you and your dog’s needs. At the time of consultation, please have up-to-date vaccination records for your dog available, your pup on leash when I arrive, and be prepared with questions I can answer for you! Each consultation can be expected to run between 30 and 45 minutes and, by the end of it, I’ll have a training recommendation ready for you.
Sessions
Each session starts with us discussing the training goals for the day, how they’ll benefit you and your dog, and ways in which we would implement this training in every day life. As I begin working with your dog, I love for owners to be present and following along with each exercise so I’ll also be walking you through the steps I’m taking before swapping with you. I’d correct any errors, and fine tune your execution to ensure comfort and confidence in your ability to replicate the exercises on your own as part of your homework between sessions.
More info
Beginning with a Montessori style of teaching and continuing through the stages of operant conditioning, my goal is to enhance the relationship between pets and their owners through consistency of clear and effective communication, healthy boundaries, and ensuring the needs of both the pets and their owners are met. Relationship based dog training has been scientifically proven to provide the most cohesive balance and effective communication in pet/owner teams.
