About: I've had many dogs in my life. My last one was a sassy shih-tzu and I loved her very much. I understand the amount of attention and exercise a dog needs. I also am familiar with giving medicine on time and realize how important it is for them. I love walking so there will be lots of walks! I have my own business that operates from my home and my schedule is flexible. Walks and feedings will fit well into my daily schedule. I will make sure all messes are cleaned promptly and give your fur babies plenty of attention. I will also adhere to a food and medication schedule.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a child, and it’s something that has always come naturally to me. Whether it was neighbors, family friends, or my own family, I’ve been trusted with walking, feeding, and even providing light basic training. I’ve also cared for senior dogs with special needs, ensuring they receive the extra attention they deserve. In addition to years of hands-on experience, I’ve worked in various roles within the animal care field—and I’m also a canine photographer, which speaks to how much I love working with dogs. I’m flexible with scheduling and happy to tailor my availability to meet your needs! While I currently offer pet care services as a way to earn some extra income, my full-time profession is canine photography—which means working with dogs is not only my job, it’s my passion! I’m more than happy to check in on your pups, provide walks either before or after the visit, and ensure they get the care and attention they need. If your pet requires medication at specific times, I can also make sure it’s administered properly and on schedule. Your pets' well-being is always my top priority! Every animal in my care is treated as if they were my own—loved, well-cared for, and yes, a little spoiled! I take pride in following your schedule and specific requests closely to ensure consistency and peace of mind. While you're away, I provide plenty of photo and video updates so you can see how your pets are doing. I also believe in clear and open communication, so you’ll always be kept fully informed every step of the way. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and comfort are always my top priorities!

About: I am a Marquette native who just returned home after years of adventures and experiences with animals in other places. I have over 20 years experience in the animal medical field, primarily in emergency and surgery and over 3 years with animal poison control. I also recently became a certified dog trainer, using positive reinforcement. Your animals will be in qualified and caring hands with me. I currently have wide open availability as my main focuses right now include caring for a family member in a nursing home and maintaining my busy household, which includes my special needs pets. With my extensive experience, you can feel at ease knowing I am very knowledgeable about animals and their needs. I know what to do if there is a problem and stay calm in emergencies.

“Justin was great to work with!”

About: Furry Friend Care experience includes caring for cat(s) needing regular injections (subcutaneous), special dietary needs, and walking multiple dogs (familiar with each other). Light grooming, as well! As a free agent with Home bases in both Munising and Marquette, I have flexibility! We all have things we care about and want to ensure are safe and cared for when we're not around. I will give care and consideration to your fur friends, their routines and safety! My house sitting, boat sitting, fur friend care, & companionship extend from Marquette to Munising, and Chocolay to Big Bay! Care to be in your home, unless special conditions are made. My current familiar is a gorgeous grey Nebelung cat, adopted as a kitten 5 years ago. She requires a special ZD diet and biweekly subcutaneous shots. I have experience attaching kitty nail caps, when she was younger, with coordinated guidance while we were sussing out an unknown skin condition that was causing her to scratch aggressively, continually opening wounds, not giving them a chance to heal. Her condition is now under control, and she no longer requires the nail caps. Prior cats I have cared for have ranged from 3 lbs to 28 lbs! Our family pooch is an English Springer Spaniel, a unique tri-color showcasing beautiful Sable color. We welcomed him to our home 6 years ago. He is our 2nd Springer in 21 years. They are such a loving, fun, and gentle breed. I have much experience in connecting with and walking rescue dogs as well, mixed breeds including Sharpei, Pit Bull, Rottie, Jack Russel, Corgie, Labradoodles, Spaniels, etc. Sanitation is the start of keeping our friends safe and healthy; exercise and fresh air are necessary as well to have a happy, healthy home life. I can provide these things for your loved furry friend(s) while you are traveling or working.

“Communicated really well and was available on short notice. So very helpful, would call on her again when we need her!”

“Kinzey is amazing with my puppies, treats them like her own and would book over anyone else on here! Would give 10 stars if I could!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was 11. I’ve been trusted with walking, feeding, bathing, as well as medication administration by family and friends. I work as a night shift nurse so my schedule can be a bit different, hectic, and sparse at times, but I’m still able and very much willing to give your dog the care, love, and attention they need and deserve! I can easily crate your dog if needed. I always check fences or fence gates before letting a dog outside. If dropping in for a house visit, I like to make sure the area is safe and secure - making sure your pup doesn’t get into anything they shouldn’t, such as trash bins, food on the counter, etc.

About: I have grown up with no less than 5 dogs all my life, I also have just under 2 years of house / pet sitting experience! I am currently working part time, but am available Monday-Fridays and have weekend nights availability if needed! I can also arrange weekends morning availability . I respect both the owners and pets boundaries in their home, I do not offer boarding services. I also give constant updates via text messages to keep you updated on your pups day to day!

About: I can’t wait to meet your pet family! With 5 years of previous experience working in veterinary medicine and more than three decades of pet caretaking/ownership, I offer worry-free skilled and routine pet caretaking services in your home. I have a background in fear-free techniques that help me to understand and work with fearful and high-anxiety pets. I am currently employed at a veterinary referral/emergency hospital; my schedule is variable and allows me to pet sit around my shifts. *I carry a pet first aid kit at all times.* My clinical background as a veterinary assistant/receptionist includes animal handling and restraint, administering medications and injections (such as insulin and fluids), caring for hospitalized patients and providing treatments, assisting doctors with diagnostics, and educating/communicating with clients. My professional experience in both traditional and exotic veterinary practices translates to exceptional care for all species of companion animals. I am comfortable managing a wide range of medical conditions and administering medications, so you can feel confident about leaving your pet in compassionate, skillful hands. I was dubbed the “chihuahua whisperer” at work—a true badge of honor! As a dog-mom, I truly enjoy caring for animals. My pet family includes a special-needs tripod Boxer, Raegan, for whom I had a prosthetic leg designed, and a long-coated Chihuahua, Joie. My affinity for companion animals began early on. As a child, I would bring home stray dogs and cats, and I kept exotic pets including rabbits, hermit crabs, hamsters, mice, lizards, frogs, and fish. During high school, I received academic credit for interning at a veterinary clinic. As a Northern Michigan native, I had the opportunity to work with multiple sled dog teams, which proved to be very enlightening experiences! The most interesting animal-caretaking experience I have had is providing critical care to a newborn alpaca named Mittens and helping the farm owner tube-feed this special-needs baby while she was out of town (he was eventually able to stand on his own and nurse!). A major component of pet caretaking is communication. With a bachelor’s degree in scientific and technical communication from Michigan Tech, I have studied the art and science of communication. I am available to provide services in your home during the day or in the evening. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to accommodate requests for boarding in my home. Safety is paramount: I will ensure your pet's safety while caring for their needs. I also understand the level of trust required to allow a sitter into your home and provide utmost respect for your property and privacy. I would be happy to provide comprehensive companion animal care, including routine caretaking & providing companionship/giving cuddles, administering meds, exercise, and any other aspect of animal care for any species.

About: I have taken training classes with one of my pups at home from beginner to advanced. I have most experience with puppies and adult dogs with a little experience with senior dogs and dogs with health issues. I have not had much experience sitting for cats, however I grew up with cats who I had from the time they were kittens through to old age. I am comfortable with pets of all ages! I also grew up with dogs as big as Old English Mastiffs and as small as tea cup Chihuahuas, so I am comfortable with all sizes as well. I am at the vet clinic for work 4-5 days of the week 8:30 - 6:30 or some days 8:30 - 1:30 depending if I work four 10 hour days or 5 days with two shorter days in the week. I have weekends off and have no obligations on the weekends. I have two playful pups at home that love to meet new people and dogs! Every couple hours they go on leashed potty breaks in the yard or around the block since we do not have a fence. They go on 30 minute walks almost every day and a special hike or activity at least once a week. The duties are split between my boyfriend and I, and usually our roommates don't mind helping while we're out of the house! While no one is home, my pups are gated in the livingroom with all doors closed throughout the day as we have a younger curious pup who chews things sometimes. They always have access to toys, fresh water, and couches/dog beds to lounge on. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture and sleep in our bed with us at night, but we have two dog beds available as options. We love to give a couple treats/snacks throughout the day as well! When sitting for other pups, I rarely leave them unsupervised since I don't work on the days that I sit for other dogs. I really enjoy making the time spent with dogs coming to stay with us fun, so they can feel as relaxed as possible while away from home! As a pet parent myself, I respectfully follow all of my client's rules and what is required regarding their pets and home.

I currently have open availability through May 19th, so I’m flexible and able to accommodate a wide range of schedules. About: I have always loved animals and dogs in particular. The older I got the more present dogs have become in my life and I enjoy their company so much. My parents and my sister have a dog each, who I absolutely adore and try to spend as much time with them as possible. I have to say hi to every dog I see on the streets and my heart gets warm when I see a wiggly tail. In July 2022 I started volunteering for a local small animal shelter. It is a lot of responsibility. All those dogs have big place in my heart and I think about them all the time. Therefore I think about dog care, training and behavior a lot. Working at the animal shelter gives me a chance to meet all kinds of breeds and different characters and age groups. Unfortunately I don't have my own dogs (yet), because they don't fit my travel-lifestyle. However, I think about owning a dog every single day. I will channel all this energy of love into your dog :) I currently don't have a fixed schedule. I have multiple small jobs. I am willing to see how dog sitting goes and adjust my life accordingly. Unfortunately I can't have dogs in my apartment since my landlord is very strict about that. When I care for your dog in your house I will follow all the rules and guidelines you provide for me. I will respect your wishes. The most important thing for me is that your pupper is safe. I know that it is a big responsibility. When I was 19 yo I was an Au Pair (Nanny) for 1 year, caring for 2 small children (4 and 7 yo). I lived with the family. I am telling you this because even from young age I was responsible and respectful, and now that I am older, I am more aware of those things than ever.

About: Ask me what I can provide! I'm willing to negotiate and help out those in need. I can take care of any animal, do dog walking, or boarding services. Can be in you're home or mine. I have a 7 year old who loves to help care for animals as well and it teaches a great responsibility to kids. I am a firm believer in hands on learning and helping! If your pets aren't child friendly we can work around that. Just give me a heads up and tell me your specifics. Hope to hear from you soon. I'm available pretty much any time and always flexible! Just send a message to inquire more info. I am willing to travel as well. Thanks! I would care for your pet same as mine, if you have specific instructions then I will follow those as well. Willing to learn commands in another language if necessary even!

We have a cat with special food and she makes sure he gets the right food. She goes above and beyond checking in and giving updates. She watches over your house, cleaning up messes from animals. If she drives by doing errands she is checking making sure everything is good.”

“Alana watched my 8 Goldendoodles. She did a wonderful job caring for them, I highly recommend her. I’d definitely use her again. If you’re looking for a petsitter, Alana is your girl!”

Jennifer L.
“I have an 8 year old Papillion who turned my home and life into a "war zone". She had severe separation anxiety as well has behavior issues like getting into the garbage the second I would turn my back. Strapped into her car seat she would jump around (stepping on various controls in my center "control" section and screaming like a banshee. I dreaded taking her anywhere, and if I left the house, I knew I would come home to her in the crate, covered in poo. I tried to give her the whole kitchen, she chewed through a baby gate and a bookcase to get to the living room. Then Jen started to work with her. Once a new behavior "clicked" with the training, Jen then taught me so that I could reinforce the wanted behaviors. (I also purposely stayed at home without leaving her for 3 weeks. Fast forward a few months and I can actually leave my home for a few hours as well as drive in relative peace! Then it culminated with me needing to be out of the country and trouble finding someone who could take my dog. So I brought her. She was SO perfect, like an animal in a move or tv show: all the walking through multiple airports for hours, sitting at gates forever, even being in a carrier under the seat in front of me for multiple long flights. Hundreds of people complimented her good behavior, especially at a very overcrowded gate! Plus she was good as gold while we were gone as well. I actually can enjoy and love my dog again, all thank to Jen's amazing gift.”

“Justin was great to work with!”

Kendra S.
“I have a reactive (due to trauma) pit bull who makes a terrible first impression to the point where people cross the street when we are walking. She is so scared of new situations and other dogs, she becomes highly reactive to the point where most people avoid her. She has separation anxiety and takes medication to help, but new people, dogs, and environments are just tough for this dog. I can't trust just anyone to care for her or walk her. Kendra's energy made an immediate positive impact on my dog and I would trust her with any dog or cat. She's compassionate, thoughtful, and detail oriented. You couldn't wish for a better pet care professional than Kendra. My only advice is get on her calendar now because it fills up quickly! Kendra has cared for pets her whole life and brings years of experience and knowledge. She's my number 1 go-to for my dog.”

Would highly recommend her to any others considering her services.”

Heather B.
“Heather came and checked on my Greta while we were out of town. Greta is a 5 month old kitten with a severe heart problem. She has to have medicine twice a day and she hates to be alone! Medicine and her need to be around us had me a nervous wreck to leave her. I had messaged Heather before I knew she worked at PVSEC and before I knew the severity of Greta's condition. We had a trip planned way before we adopted Greta and I needed to line someone up to take care of her for a few days. I told her we were coming in with Greta to see the cardiologist because our vet was really worried about her heart which had me terrified of losing her and leaving her later in the month. Heather made it a point to go by and check on Greta during her shift the next day. She sent me pictures of Greta to show me she was okay. Obviously, I had to book Heather. She was so wonderful. She kept me posted on everything. She knew what warning signs to look for in regards to Greta's heart and she gave Greta so much love. When I was extra worried a couple times, she went right over to check on Greta for me. I knew Greta was a priority for Heather. I truly cannot put into words how great she is. If I have to leave my baby again, I want Heather to take care of her.”
