“As always, our little Milo was treated like a beloved member of the family. We never worry when we’re away from our guy because we know he is in the very best hands. And we know that because of the detailed updates and beautiful photos we get every morning. We are so grateful for Ashley and Brian, and we will always choose them to care for our pup. We cannot recommend them highly enough.”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a kid, having many pets growing up. I have volunteered in the animal care center at Greenburgh nature center where I got to care for a variety of reptiles and mammals. I have dog sat many family friends dogs, and also walked dogs for families I've babysat. Most recently, I worked at the Hudson Valley Humane Society Shelter where I mostly worked with farm animals and dogs, and is where I met and adopted my sweet boy named Suka. I currently am working in Ithaca 6:30-3:00pm and have the afternoons available I would be able to work in the Ithaca area or surrounding all the way to Truxton (where I currently live). Come this September I will have Wednesdays and Weekends completely available. I live on 5 acres, with plenty of room to play. I will always keep your pet on a leash or make sure there surrounding area is gated in so no one escapes. Having a husky, I am well versed on being prepared for escape artists.

“Chantal was a fantastic sitter for our puppy, who struggles with separation anxiety. She provided exceptional care, making him feel right at home and showing remarkable patience throughout his overnight stay. Her dedication and kindness were truly comforting to us. We highly recommend Chantal to anyone seeking a caring and attentive pet sitter. We're grateful for her service and will definitely seek her help again.”

About: Hi! I just started doing this again FT in July & I’m excited to help care for your little babes. Whether it’s drop-in visits or walks, boarding here or house-sitting, you can feel relieved that your home and family will be in the kindest of hands. Common human courtesy like bringing in your mail & watering your plants are included. 😊 I’ve been a lover of animals since I was born, riding horses and having even exotic pets; these days, I help out with a wildlife rehabber, I volunteer & have fostered with a local animal shelter, and in my own pet-parenting experience, I know about veterinary meds & the different ways of administering them, etc. My husband care for our cats if I need to house-sit, otherwise, this is my full-time gig lately and I absolutely love it! It’s my calling. 🥰 I leave a place better than I found it; I am highly polite and respectful and would never disrespect a client’s home; I treat it like I’m a guest on my best behavior of course!

About: Volunteering at shelters and owning an array of pets throughout my life helps me understand fully how to care for a creature. I've never turned away an animal and have worked with nursing birds, rodents, bunnies, and kittens back to health after rescuing them. I also love working with exotic pets like amphibians or reptiles, but mainly I board and walk dogs! I'm very good at reading body language and training stubborn dogs, and working with animals full time would be a dream career. Right now I'm studying premedicine / ecology at UA and taking care of animals over the summers to save money for school! Going to Albany on the 24th! Until then I can board, but afterwards I'm switching my location and removing boarding from my services as I'll be on campus. Large yard with electric fence and 2 extra collars for a medium dog. Home with 3 accessible stories, dog food, treats, litter box, toys and plenty of enrichment. Dog beds and human beds for sleeping, large safe neighborhood for walks!!

“Francine was excellent with our two beagles. This was my first time with a dog sitter, and my wife and I were quite nervous, however were reassured very quickly. My wife and I are paid emt’s and have unpredictable work schedules. Francine is flexible, understanding and treated our pups like her own. She updates you throughout the day, and took my hyperactive two pups on long walks that are much needed. Thank you for not only being a sitter, but a friend to my two pups. I highly recommend francine to anyone, because she is the best!! After coming home after 12 hours at her house my two are snuggled in bed fast asleep. Way to go francine!”

About: I have been caring for our furry friends for as long as I can remember. Since I was a teenager, I would watch 2 Yorkies for a family friend where they would stay with me in my family's home and receive plenty of cuddles, play and outdoor time for potty breaks. From that point on, I have watched dogs for family and friends within their homes or in my home for years. Whatever special requirements your pup may have, I can meet their needs and ensure they receive extra pampering and cuddles for the time they are away from you. I have cared for puppies in the process of being crate trained, potty trained and wee wee pad trained. I have also cared for senior dogs who need daily medications administered, have challenges with arthritis or losing sight. Whatever stage your fur baby is in, I can care for them at that stage. I know how important it is to know that your furry family member is being cared for and loved just as much you would is a great relief. Knowing your fur baby will be in the most loving and capable hands allows you to go about your daily routines or go on vacations with your mind at ease. I am currently staying at home and have availability most days and weekends. I have 1 dog at home who gets along very well with all dogs, big and small alike. I have a spacious home with plenty of space for dogs to curl up and cuddle or soak in some sun warmth. Additionally, I have a fenced in yard for getting out and getting the zoomies out when needed. Multiple walks a day 2-3x (depending on day care, or if boarding more, and individual dog's needs) to the nearby park.
