“The dogs were so happy with their stay! They've been exhausted ever since coming home. Joan had other dogs within her home which gave my pups plenty of activity and interaction while I was gone!”

“Sue was absolutely amazing! We took a ski day and our dog stayed with her and had a blast, she was very communicative, sent photos, and made sure the dogs she had get along together with ours. She had repetitive doggies there and I’m sure our dog Cash will be one of them next time we come.”

“Jenna took such good care of my dog, taking him on a great hike for the day I needed her to watch him (even with a short notice of needing her sitting help) Very happy and would recommend!”

“Amanda was great! She responded quickly and was able to accommodate on short notice. She sent pictures and took Maggie on one of her favorite walks! I had a tired pup when I picked her up, which is always a guarantee that she had a good time. I will definitely be using Amanda again!”

About: Hi! I’m Stuss — a firefighter/paramedic and lifelong dog person based near Keystone/Dillon. Outside of work I volunteer at the Frisco Animal Shelter and with Summit Lost Pet Rescue, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of dogs: puppies, seniors, shy dogs, reactive dogs etc. I’ve also owned two dogs through their whole lives, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your best friend with someone else. My setup is simple: I only take one dog at a time (or two from the same household). That means your dog gets my full attention, a calm environment, and care that’s tailored to their routine — not a busy “pack” situation. I donate 20% of my earnings on Rover to the local animal shelter/rescue work I support. My work schedule is 48 hour shifts, and then I have a block of 4 days off. Some of those days I go on adventures, and some of those days I chill around the house. Those "rest days" are when I open my calendar up for dog sitting, so, your dog(s) will have my company all day while I'm at home doing chores, relaxing, and getting outside. I love to hike year round and I will take your dog with me, if they're up for it. I always match the day to your dog. Energetic dogs can join for longer walks/hikes, and seniors can take it slow with short strolls and extra couch time. I live in a ground-floor condo at the end of a quiet street with trails and open space nearby. With your permission, I also drive a few minutes to local trailheads for variety, and I kind of specialize in knowing quiet places to hike without the crowds. I live alone in a quiet, uncluttered home — great for dogs who do best in a calm space. Dogs are welcome on the couch and bed (unless you prefer otherwise). I stick closely to your dog’s normal routine: meals, meds, potty schedule, exercise, and any special instructions.
“Kyle was amazing with Scout. From our meet and greet with him and Toffee through the entire stay, he was communicative, caring, and helpful. You can tell he loves dogs and I knew Scout was well taken care of. Highly recommend.”
“Bridget is incredible! She took excellent care of my high energy dog and send lots of updates. Bridget was very accommodating and flexible with my flight delays. Highly recommend!!”

“Theo was Ben’s first pup to sit through Rover. I was a little apprehensive just because he didn’t have any reviews yet, but after communicating with him I decided to give him the opportunity. He eased my mind by offering to do whatever it took to make me feel comfortable. I suggested a meet and greet & he agreed. He was super communicative and helped me feel at ease. While Theo was in his care, he sent frequent updates and photos. I was very happy with the level of service Ben provided. Would definitely use him again if I’m ever in the area again. I highly recommend!”

“Absolutely amazing! Cori was so welcoming and kind to my dogs. It was my first time using Rover and Cori was beyond helpful. I dropped my dogs off with her to undergo a surgery in Denver and Cori was absolutely fantastic with communication and posted updates on how much fun the dogs were having. It was really a huge stress taken off my shoulder. Her place seemed perfect for active dogs like mine with a good trail very close by.”

“Loryn was amazing with my pup! Not only did she go above and beyond with fun activities, and lots of pictures and videos, but she also was a huge help to my sons and me while we were visiting Copper Mountain. The trip would not have been the same without all the care and attention she gave to us all. Definitely hope to be lucky enough to be able to use her again anytime I’m in the area. Highly recommended!”

“Winsome took great care of our dog! This was only the 2nd time we have left him and she made us feel good about leaving him. We received photos and updates throughout the weekend so we knew he was having fun! Thanks Winsome!”

About: I have taken care of a dogs and cats since the age of 10 years old. I love all animals equally and generally am the animal guru with any of my friends. I live in a small apartment in Denver and wish I could have an animal of my own here. So instead I would love to take care of yours. I’ve raised 3 puppies on my own - two Husky Wolf Hybrids and a German Husky Cattle Dog Mix. I am well trained on walking, feeding, energy and communication with the animals. I work from home Mon-Fri so my schedule is pretty lax and I am available to take care of your pets. Looking forward to mornings and evenings any day of the week. **Please note if my calendar appears to be blocked out on a day or period of time that you are looking to schedule. Please reach out to me and I will do my best to accommodate your request. I respond very quickly to all requests. Thank you. ** I plan creating a safe environment when taking care of your animal. Whether it be on a walk and being aware of my surroundings or in your home. The goal here is for your pet to feel as though they have not been left alone. Spending quality time with them is my utmost priority. **House Sitting Requests - please note that the majority of the time I will need to bring my pup with me to a house sitting request. He is well behaved, crate trained, and loves other dogs (he has zero aggression), and is neutered. There are a few occasions potentially with enough notice that I don’t need to bring him along but in the cases that I do I ask that your dog(s) are friendly and will enjoy having extra company ** ** Boarding Requests - in order for me to accept a boarding request the dog(s) must be dog and cat friendly. Typically a meet and greet would be required to make sure there are no issues. Please let me know if you have any questions. **

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Silverthorne
Tracy was great in working with my anxious Dane mix. She was very patient in getting him leashed up and in/out the door, letting him get accustomed to a new face at his own pace. When he boarded with her, she sent regular updates and photos. Would definitely recommend.

Matthew was great. The current location there are grated steps which my dog refused to walk on. Matthew carried my 60lb border collie australian shepherd up and down several times a day. True champ. Thank you!! Be in touch with him if the grates might be a problem for your dog.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
