“I felt so relieved to leave our doggie Whiskey with Susan and her husband. They gave him so much love and attention. She sent us so many pictures of how he was doing and his daily activities. She walked him, played with him and gave him all the love I could ever ask for. We felt so great leaving our doggie baby with her and have already planned another trip in the spring and have it booked. Im so happy I found her on Rover”

“I did a last minute booking. From the time I requested Kathleen has been so responsive. She did everything to make me feel comfortable as this was my first experience with a pet sitter. She sent plenty of pictures and videos and my doggy son has such a great time.”

“Thank you so much! This was my first time leaving Dallas with anyone who wasn’t family! Kathleen was happy to let me meet her prior to booking which helped ease my mind. Throughout his stay she kept me updated and sent me pictures! I am so so thankful!”

“Above and beyond care. My family and I went out of state for a vacation. Samantha sent photos of my pup and gave updates frequently. Very kind and flexible. Would definitely book again!”

“Marko and his beautiful family were beyond amazing with my boxer, Lola. From the moment I met them, I could feel how warm, loving, and welcoming they were — including their two precious little girls. Lola was treated like a true part of their family. When it was time to pick her up, one of the girls was crying because she didn’t want Lola to leave — and honestly, that moment made me both emotional and incredibly happy. It told me everything I needed to know about how loved and cared for Lola was during her stay. Since bringing her home last night, Lola has been sleeping nonstop — a sure sign her last four days were filled with love, attention, play, and pure family time. That is exactly what I wanted for my precious girl. Thank you, Marko, for taking such wonderful care of my fur baby. We will absolutely be back. 🐾❤️ Monica with family”

“Vanessa was awesome, Winston was clearly well loved and supported during his overnight stay. It’s always a relief when I can drop him off & not worry about anything 😊 will definitely be booking again!”

“Alyssa and her family were great with Kurt. She kept communication throughout his stay and sent pictures. When I picked him up he was very happy and having a great time. Thank you so much! ❤️”

About: My name is Sandra and I’m 28 years old. I have two furry family members; Bonbon, an 11 year old poodle mix, and Wally, a 3 year old collie mix. I currently work as a Dog Groomer, but have about 6 years of experience in the Dog Daycare industry. My past jobs have given me the experience needed to handle and care for dogs of all sizes. They’ve also taught me how to greet an unfamiliar dog, how to do feedings for various dogs, administer medication, and how to detect signs of aggression and fear. With my personal experience and professional experience, I am well equipped to handle dogs in all stages of life. With that being said, It takes patience, hard work, and honesty to care for a dog. 94% of sitters in Serena can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
