We were worried about leaving him with a sitter for the first time as he can be a bit anxious, but Kathy was warm and welcoming and Murphy immediately seemed quite at home playing with Kathy and her daughter when we had a meet up prior to his stay. Kathy sent regular updates and pictures, and I felt really confident that Murphy was being properly looked after and that he looked happy. Murphy had a great time, and would probably have stayed put if he had the choice! He sat staring at our front door after he was dropped off! In addition to being devoted to her own, she is constantly committing and donating to charities supporting stray dogs and animal welfare. Her own dogs are exceptionally behaved and clearly care for her deeply, as reflected in their loving behaviour towards her, which I can only deduce as being a mirror of her own investment of love and care. I have personally overseen her interactions with my own dogs where she has played with and walked them, and her calm and collected approach is infectious to them too. She is more than capable of being a dog sitter and I could not be more enthusiastic about recommending someone for the role.”

“When we left our four month old puppy, Tweed with Derek it was the first time we had left him. So, inevitably we were worried as to how he (and we) would cope. But Derek welcomed us and Tweed and any worries we had soon ebbed away. Frequent updates with videos and pictures told us that Tweed was having a great day and being well looked after. We were able to relax and enjoy our day too. We don’t even think he missed us (not even a little bit Tweed?). Many grateful thanks to Derek and his wife from us and Tweed. We will be booking again.”

“I don’t really know how to adequately explain how grateful we are for Kamal. We did an overnight and a weekend in preparation for just over a week away for our needy border terrier. By the second time she visited him she was dragging us towards his flat. She LOVES him. The amount of contact and photos and videos was absolutely amazing and to be away with family and never even think about how she was doing because we knew she was in good hands was invaluable. We will be keeping in touch with Kamal for as long as he’s willing. Cannot recommend him enough.”

About: I have grown up with dogs, and have been dog sitting for many years. I’m comfortable around dogs of all sizes and in any stage of life. I’m currently working fully remote, so I am happy to watch after your pet at any time during the week or week-end. My partner, Callum, also works remote on Thursdays and Fridays, and loves dogs and caring for them as well. I have no real time constraints in terms of pet-sitting. My partner and I are currently living in a flat with plenty of space, and a fenced in shared garden that is really not used by anyone else. I also enjoy taking the pets I care for on multiple walks throughout the day as we are a short distance from Lochend Park and Hollyrood Park. Occasionally, if I need to pop out, Callum will be at the flat to watch after your pet as well. So they will always be cared for.
