“John has provided a second home for our dog Harley . From the introduction meeting right through, John was friendly and ensured Harley’s needs, particularly being an older dog, would be catered for. John provided regular updates and photo’s throughout the stay which was reassuring and it was clear Harley was having a great time staying with John. John has been very professional but what ultimately shines through is his love for dogs and on our return we could see the bond he had created with Harley. We have have already booked Harley in for the next stay with John.”

We were worried about leaving him with a sitter for the first time as he can be a bit anxious, but Kathy was warm and welcoming and Murphy immediately seemed quite at home playing with Kathy and her daughter when we had a meet up prior to his stay. Kathy sent regular updates and pictures, and I felt really confident that Murphy was being properly looked after and that he looked happy. Murphy had a great time, and would probably have stayed put if he had the choice! He sat staring at our front door after he was dropped off! About: I have grown up with dogs, and have been dog sitting for many years. I’m comfortable around dogs of all sizes and in any stage of life. I’m currently working fully remote, so I am happy to watch after your pet at any time during the week or week-end. My partner, Callum, also works remote on Thursdays and Fridays, and loves dogs and caring for them as well. I have no real time constraints in terms of pet-sitting. My partner and I are currently living in a flat with plenty of space, and a fenced in shared garden that is really not used by anyone else. I also enjoy taking the pets I care for on multiple walks throughout the day as we are a short distance from Lochend Park and Hollyrood Park. Occasionally, if I need to pop out, Callum will be at the flat to watch after your pet as well. So they will always be cared for.

“Scrappy is just home from the best 5 night stay with Colin, Peggy, Arlo and Orla. He seemed relaxed the moment he arrived. We were sent daily photos of him whilst we were away. I left feeling confident our wee sausage would be spoiled rotten with cuddles whilst we were away. Highly recommend and we will definitely book Scrappy in again 😊”

Millie also 'baby-sat' my rescue dog, Pepper, who has a complicated past. Not only was she attentive to Pepper's needs, she able to quickly adapt her methods of care to cater for Pepper's anxieties - not easy. Beyond the basic care duties, Millie goes above and beyond to ensure the happiness and comfort of her dogs. Millie is incredibly patient with animals, and her genuine love for animals shines through in the way she interacts with them. Millie takes her responsibilities very seriously and can always be counted on, I cannot recommend her enough!”

About: Hi there I'm Sumedha, I had the joy of looking after my own pup for 8 years. Raised and trained him on my own, even nursed him with help of a vet through a tough medical treatment that lasted a couple of months. I've got lots of patience with pets. He was my definetly my best buddy, and I've learned so much about the care a dog needs from him. These days, I'm a support worker - yoga and dance teacher - for young adults with extra needs and learning disabilty, which keeps me active and full of energy. I moved to Edinburgh last year and since moving here I've really missed having a pet around to share that energy with. Luckily, I live with my husband - Vasu, who shares my love for animals! We both miss the wagging tails and wet noses that make a home complete. So, we've decided to open our home to your furry family members! We'd love to be an extended family for your dog while you're away, giving them all the love and attention they deserve. I am a support worker and I teach yoga and dance to young adults with special needs from 9 am to 4 pm on weekdays. My Husband (Vasu) works from home as a software engineer, so he's always there to keep your pet company during the day. On fridays, I wrap up work by 2 pm and have weekends completely off, giving us plenty of time for long walks and playtime with your dog. We're both eager to share the responsibility of caring for your pet, ensuring they're always loved and never alone. Looking forward to meeting you! We've got a spacious living room and additionally two roomswhere your pet is more than welcome to relax and feel at home, the living room has a large window and I'm sure it's going to be your pets favourite corner. Our furniture is open to them, so they can cuddle up wherever they please. We'll make sure to feed them their favorite treats and meals as you instruct us. Plus, they'll get plenty of love with nice scratches, happy walks, and fun games in the parks. We're committed to making their stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible, ensuring they feel like part of our family while you're away. Looking forward to spoiling your pet!
