“We are happy repeat customers of Makena, but do not book with her because we trust her so much and we want to keep her to ourselves ;) ! She has taken good care of our favorite "daughter" in every single time she has stayed with Makena...and having Bear is a plus! It's like having another mom and a big brother to keep her company! She has a very calming, comfortable personality and yet very professional. Our "daughter" had some health issues when we left for vacation recently, but we knew that her medications will be administered on a timely manner. The reason we picked her up 1 day early on our recent boarding was due to our mistake on when our flight was arriving, and we missed her soo much! We are thankful of her! In short, Makena deserves more than 5 stars!!!”

“Ellen did such an amazing job with my senior rescue girl! She has some health issues and is a little shy, so I'm always worried about leaving her for the weekend with someone new, but I could tell she felt comfortable with Ellen right away. Communication was great—Ellen sent photos and updates and made me feel a LOT less guilty about leaving her. I honestly could not have had a better experience, which is saying something coming from a slightly neurotic mom of a special needs dog :) I'll definitely be booking Ellen again in the future!”

“Mary was amazing. My dog Thyon is a sweet but skittish boy. Since making a big move from the country to the city, he has suffered from anxiety which he needed to be medicated for. I tried traditional boarding facilities however they were not a good fit. There were too many loud noises and he always came home stressed and nervous. Mary provided a wonderful environment. Not only was he able to quickly adapt and feel comfortable, but he seemed to thrived there. He was running in the yard with her dog Elle. Which he has not done since we moved months ago. I have finally found a place where I am comfortable to leave my boy and know he’s being well cared for. Thanks Mary!”

“Katie (and Ruth!) are amazing! Our shy girl had never been boarded before, and we hit the lottery with finding Katie. She was patient with letting Parsley get to know her, and didn't try to force anything. Parsley and Ruth started playing and chasing each other right away - it was awesome to see our usually shy and anxious girl come out of her shell so quickly. We were updated frequently with plenty of pictures. We could tell that Parsley was having an absolute blast - which was confirmed when I went to pick her up and she didn't want to leave. We will absolutely be booking with Katie again.”

She was so responsive sent several pictures of Bailey while we were gone and when we went to pick her up she had all of her stuff packed up and ready to go - she had even broken down her crate so we could just put it in the car. It seemed like Bailey had a great time playing with Paige’s other dogs and they definitely got lots of love and attention! Would definitely leave Bailey with Paige and her wife in the future!”
