Our elderly dog, Stella, has stayed with them over the weekend twice and will be staying with them again next month for over a week. They have been more than accommodating with her needs, from providing her endless attention to making sure she gets her medications on time. They are patient with her fussiness and also make sure she gets plenty of time to rest. They also reach out to us during the visit with photos and updates! While they often sit multiple dogs at once, they maintain excellent control ensuring everyone is happy and healthy. They are retired so the pets receive loads of affection and are not left alone. When I went on vacation I didn't want to have to board him at a kennel where there might be a little too much simulation for him. Nikki and her family were perfect for him. He stayed with them for a week and I'm confident he was well taken care of because when it came time to pick him up he almost seemed hesitant to leave with me lol. As he had a golden retriever, and he cared for 'Boone' like his baby, with lots of love, lots of walks and lots of fun! He has a great yard that any dog would enjoy, it is huge with lots of trees. He and his wife Alexis are very reliable and conscientious, and very well educated about Pets.”

About: I’ve had animals since I was a child but also have taken in dogs of all ages and breeds over the last year and a half by fostering through a local rescue. I work from home a majority of the week leaving me time to tend to the dogs as needed! When I am not home, I am able to make visits during lunch to check on the pups. We have 2 friendly dogs in our home that love to play and share their toys. We enjoy walks and can easily crate when necessary.

“Shannon was awesome, definitely 5 stars!! I had an unexpected trip come up and so had to find a 'nanny' on short notice, and was lucky that Shannon had availability. I work from home so my dog really hadn't ever experienced any extended separation ever, so I was elated to find a caregiver that also would be able to provide that same constant presence (since my dog can be a pretty needy attention hound!). Shannon allowed me to go off the grid for a few days without a care, and provided picture updates daily that assured me Marseille was not losing her mind and giving Shannon any grief. :) I would not hesitate to have my dog stay with Shannon again, and honestly think she should probably increase her rate considering the service she provides.”
