About: Pets have been part of my life since I was a child. I began working in a dog boarding facility during my high school years and followed the animal track into my college education and became a licensed veterinary technician. I have pet sitting and veterinary working experience with dogs, cats, cattle, chickens, and horses. I worked in a mixed animal veterinary practice as a licensed veterinary technician for 4 years, then moved to an equine only veterinary practice for close to 5 years and currently at an equine veterinary practice employed as a registered veterinary technician. I have a 2 year old spayed golden retriever who travels everywhere with me as well as a 10 year old shorthair female spayed cat who enjoys her days sunbathing in the sunshine. I work full time as a registered veterinary technician; I typically work 4 days a week with one day off and approximately every 4th weekend at the clinic. I have availability in the evenings, days off, and most weekends. My golden girl loves to play and have company and the cat will offer her cuddles as well during in home stays. I constantly observe the pets I care for and make sure they are happy and healthy. I tailor my care for each individual; whether they enjoy multiple walks, adventures, or just want extra cuddles their happiness is my top priority.

“This was our first time boarding our dogs and we were super nervous. Max is a German Rott and not the friendliest at first sight. It takes him a moment to get comfortable with new faces. However, he is truly a loving, loyal and protective doggie. Marley, an English Cocker Spaniel is easy to adore and just wants hugs and rubs all day. Desirae was nothing but hospitable, patient, accommodating, and professional. She continued to provide photos and updates while we were away and made sure we were comfortable. She was very aware of what they needed and following our instructions to ensure they maintained their routine. This was such a wonderful first experience and I would definitely recommend Desirea. My dog was a bit under the weather when I took her and they went above and beyond to make her feel better. They provided regular checkins and photos and are quick with responses. About: I had several dogs during my teen years. I myself got a dog last August and i can tell you i didn't know what I was missing. I will treat your dog like family. I work full time and have weekends and nights off. I am usually home by 4;00pm from work. I am flexible with enough notice given. I have a fenced in yard, very clean, and room to play. My house is always kept up, nothing for dogs to get into that's bad for them.
