About: Hi I’m Hayley! I have about a year of Rover experience, doing doggie drop ins and walks. A little bit about me: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs nearly my entire life. I’ve never met a cat I didn’t love! I have two super friendly poodle mixes Nova and Arlo. Not only have I taken care of cats/dogs for 20+ years, I’m also the first to volunteer to care for my friends and neighbors beloved pets. I once babysat a neighbors 30 outdoor cats! I also have experience with senior cats and dogs. My expertise with dogs are home visits, walking and fetch or playing. I have a toddler who also loves animals and will accompany me at times, so a friendly dog is a MUST. I will watch one small/medium dog at my home in Ravenna prior to meeting them to ensure they get along with my pups. I treat my pets like family members, and would love to care for yours as well! I work a flexible hybrid schedule so I’m willing to work with your schedule. I’m available for overnight doggy daycare at my home for one family friendly pup if you’re out of town. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly pups to keep your dog company. They love to play! I’m willing and able to crate if needed as well.

About: It’s simple. I just love dogs. I love my dog. I’ve had dogs all my life. I like to walk dogs just plain and simple. I have a friendly dog now and walk it and let it outside and take care of it. He’s part of my family and fixed. I have a fenced in yard and pay a lot of attention to the animals needs. I make sure they’re happy and pay a lot of attention to animals.

Excellent service. Zach and his daughter were great with my dog Rex! Great setup with a tall fence and Rex loved playing with their dogs. This was a same day booking and they were able to accommodate us last minute and also the following day. I had only left my dog one day at a kennel his whole life so was nervous and within minutes knew I had made the correct choice with Zach and his home!

About: Your pet is treated as my own and a family member. Your fur baby is not crated unless you request that and provide the crate. Your pet gets to go outside and run and play several times a day. I go out and encourage playing and running for exercise. When the weather permits, we walk through the field and explore along the canal. If your pet is older and doesn't want to play or explore, that's ok. I have plenty of shaded areas for them to just lounge and take a snooze while I sit with them and read. I would love to share your fur babies with you. Must provide proof of all shot records (including Kennel Cough vaccine). I insist on a meet and greet to make sure that your fur baby is going to be a good match with our family. I do not board pit bulls (or pit mixes), German Shepherds, Rottweilers it any aggressive dogs for my safety as well as my pup. I am retired. I never leave your pups alone. If I need to run to the store, my husband is here with the pups. When the pups are outside, I'm outside work them. I have a large fenced in back yard and a standard poodle that would love to play with your pup/pups and keep them company. She loves having new playmates.

Maggie really enjoyed her doggie daycare with April in her home, this included Ollie, April’s doggie! Her parents enjoyed it even more that Maggie was safe and in good hands. April was professional and prompt in communication and sent doggie report cards each day with pictures! She was super accommodating with our special hours for pick up and drop off. We definitely will be returning to April in the future!

About: I have always had pets of all kinds growing up along with much love for all wildlife. Currently I have 4 cats, 2 dogs, 3 fish and many snails, and a lot of plants! My dog growing up became diabetic (also blind) and I provided him supportive care for the remaining 5 years he had (including special meals and insulin shots)! I have rescued several cats and found loving homes after getting them medical care (I always keep in touch). One of my cats was a bottle baby after finding her on the side of the road at only 3 weeks old, she is now almost 2. I also provided supportive care for my two eldest cats (11years) after their major surgeries (perineal urethrostomy and gallbladder removal). I am also in the process of obtaining my wildlife rehabilitation permit for I always seem to be brought animals to care for and I would like to do more for them than just transporting to a rehabilitator! I have a lot of room at my house which includes the finished basement area with separate rooms, a mudroom, a large fenced in backyard, and kennels if needed. I'm willing to travel to you, or care for your animals here! All my animals are friendly (successfully introduced and integrated) but if yours needs some privacy I can absolutely provide it. I'm here to help, I hope it's clear how important your fur babies would be to me! I would love to make whatever it is you need happen. I am currently a stay at home mom with my own fur babies. My day starts at 6AM when I wake up to feed and walk the dogs and check to see if the cats need anything. I would be more than happy to care for your animal(s) here or get out of the house and care for them in their home! I have a large fenced in yard, a finished basement with separate rooms, a separate mudroom, and kennels if needed! My 4 cats and 2 dogs roam the house and would love to make new friends, but if your animals are shy, we have plenty of space to accommodate. All I ask is for a clear set of instructions if caring for your pet in your home and you can expect those instructions to be carried out with love and respect for your animal(s) and property. I am also insured for pet care/housesitting through PCI.

About: I’ve been a dedicated dog owner for more than five years and understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust. My home has a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play, and I’m home most of the time, which means your dog will receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. What sets me apart is the home environment I provide. I have a friendly, well-socialized host dog who loves meeting and playing with other dogs, helping visiting pups feel comfortable and included. I focus on creating a safe, fun, and low-stress experience where dogs can play, relax, and feel like part of the family. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality and needs, whether they enjoy active play, social interaction, or a quieter environment. My goal is to make every dog feel happy, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Being a school teacher has strengthened my patience, attentiveness, and ability to create a safe, positive environment—qualities that I bring to caring for every dog as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a virtual teacher, I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day. Dogs in my care enjoy regular outdoor time in my fenced yard, playtime with my friendly host dog, and plenty of opportunities to relax indoors. Because I’m home during the day, I’m able to closely monitor each dog’s needs and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and included. On weekends, holidays, and school breaks, my schedule is even more flexible, allowing for extra playtime, and one-on-one attention Your dog's safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I provide a safe, welcoming home environment with a fenced yard and plenty of opportunities for play, rest, and companionship. Because I work from home, I am able to be present and attentive throughout the day. I take the time to understand each dog's personality and needs, helping them feel comfortable and cared for while away from home. My goal is to create a positive experience where dogs feel safe, happy, and part of the family.

About: I’ve loved dogs my entire life, and now that I’m recently retired, I have the time to give them the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. I treat every dog like part of the family—whether we’re going for a walk, playing fetch, or just relaxing together. With a calm, patient nature and a flexible schedule, I can focus fully on your pet’s needs and routines. You can rest easy knowing they’ll be safe, happy, and loved like one of my own. I am recently retired and am available all of the time. I currently have two small dogs of my own and watching an additional dog would be no trouble at all. If you dog stays with me, they will be treated just like my own pet. I am able to walk them, feed them special diets, or administer oral medication. I am home almost all of the time and can give them the attention they need.

About: Being around dogs is second nature to me, my family has always had furbabies. I treat every animal with compassion. A gentle hand can go a long way. I love dogs and have a great ability to handle them with kindness. I can handle little to big dogs, my own dog is 100lbs. I currently do not have a job that requires me to leave my home for extended hours, so I am able to give all my time to your furbaby. I usually always have my phone on me and can respond quickly. I am currently not working outside of the home and can devote all my hours to your pet. I will incorporate walks and enrichment to keep your pet engaged. I have a fenced in yard, a special insert in my car for hiking if your dog would like a hike. There is a nice trail 5mins from my house. I live in a safe neighborhood and can walk your dog for as long as needed from their normal routines.

Throughout the time my girls are in her care, I am regularly updated with photos and messages, which puts my anxiety at ease knowing that my dogs are in good hands. The heat is now becoming an issue, but Marie made sure to not over-extend, nor over exhaust my girls, especially my senior lady, making alternative “safe” choices for them while meeting their stimulation needs. Also another note, always very accommodating with my schedule, making drop-ins &/or daycare a seamless experience. Thank you!

About: From the time I was 3 years old, I've had 4 cats and 2 dogs! I have looked after pets for friends, family, and neighbors, and love them like my own. I have experience walking, bathing, feeding, and playing with cats and dogs. I am very good at teaching puppies new tricks! I also have experience administering both oral and injected medication to both dogs and cats. Let me love on your pet today! I’m currently a Stay At Home Mom to an 15 month old, so I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies while you’re away! I’m always home and ready to help. My home has an unfenced yard, but with your permission, I could take them to the dog park to run and play off the leash!

Bandit is always so excited to see Karma. He loves going there so much that we can get him to take his medicine by saying if he takes it, he can go see her. She is so flexible and caring with him. We feel very confident in her skills because of the way that Bandit cries with excitement to see her.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ravenna commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 412 sitters in Ravenna, 90% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
