Karen took excellent care of our pup. I highly recommend her and wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again. I loved all the pictures and updates during Pepper’s stay! I could tell Karen was very experienced and felt extremely confident that pepper was in good hands!

We had Karen take care of our two dogs over the weekend. They had a great time and I knew they were well cared for. I appreciated Karen’s attention to detail and her communication with us while caring for our dogs. I would not hesitate to have her care for our dogs again.

Karen did a wonderful job with my dog. She provided amazingly detailed write up and explanations about what was going on. She was also firm with boundaries and helped me understand how to improve my dogs behavior and anxiety as we move back into the real world of leaving the house! Wonderful work!

My two dogs (Siberian husky and Labrador retriever) stayed with Karen for 8 days while we were away. During this time, we chose to add training during their stay. We received daily updates on them while we were gone plus she had typed out pages of what they had done each day, a list of all the commands they had worked on, etc. Upon our return, she showed me their progress in training and how to use each command. We are very pleased with their progress and the care they received. We look forward to using her services again. If I could ask my dogs how they enjoyed their stay, I think they would give her 5 stars as well, especially after receiving all their treats and bonuses in their bowls each day. :)

We left our dog Daisy (10 year old lab) with Karen for a week after a fun meet and greet. We recieved daily pictures and updates of Daisy doing dog things. We picked up Daisy and she seemed to have enjoyed her stay. Karen gave us a report of Daisys days and habits which was very fun to read. Karen kept us at ease during our vacation and will be using her again in the future.

Karen was able to care for my dog while I was on an international vacation. And, having a senior dog with some health problems, that is no small feat. I was able to relax a lot more knowing that Missy was in such good hands. I got regular updates from Karen, with pictures. She was also able to closely observe Missy’s behavior and give me recommendations for things that she might need. She was very helpful. She also did not have any problem administering my dog’s medication regiment. I am so glad that Karen was there for me when I needed her. I would recommend her to anyone needing their dog boarded.

I HATE leaving bad reviews BUT I can't in good conscience not leave feedback regarding my experience. When I met Karen for our meet and greet she was friendly and a little strict. She had lots of feedback about my almost 2-year-Maltese mix who we got just before the pandemic and so lacks some socialization but has caught up incredibly well considering. He has a good disposition and is playful and likes to cuddle. He's not perfect obviously and has a small dog personality. I was very clear with her about his "issues", mostly fearfulness around new people, and that he isn't trained for off-leash, is a picky eater, and was potty trained to go outside but not in a special spot. She charged me an extra $5 a day in case she had to clean up inside, fine, fair enough. I told her my dog had been prescribed, by his VET, a medication for use IF he had anxiety and she was concerned that it was a pharmaceutical and suggested I use a hemp supplement instead, I told her I would look into it but when I did (CBD) I found no conclusive studies showing it was safe or effective (could be but I couldn't find it). So I opted for the medication his vet prescribed. My husband dropped our dog off with our dog's food, bed, crate, treats, meds, etc., and again he had the conversation about the meds with her (we had given him one that morning to make the transition easier for him). We went on our trip and received some pics while we were gone. When I went to pick him up, she had a lot of feedback about his "behavioural issues" for me typed up in a two page letter (great I love feedback), and said "but you probably know all of them already". OK? She also let me know he had diarrhea and woken her up two nights in a row. When I picked him up I noticed a little blood on his fur, I looked closer and saw that he had a wound between his shoulder and neck!!!! It had crusted over and so I wasn't able to see what the wound looked like while I was there. She said she had not noticed it and had no idea how what happened and thought maybe it had happened in his crate (that he has slept in his entire life!? Not likely). She said she had brushed him that morning and it was not there. I told her I would look at it further and clean it out and let her know what I could figure out. I went home with the two pages of notes she handed me and when I read them over she said that he had a behavioural change two days before I picked him up. He no longer wanted to interact with the other dogs, didn't want to come to her when called and had diarrhea and wouldn't eat. She had no explanation of why this might have been. She also mentioned throughout her notes that she used a water spray to correct his behaviour (scratching at the screen door to come inside, protesting in his crate at bedtime, etc.), which to my knowledge doesn't change behaviour simply makes dogs hide it. I took him home and when I was able to clean the wound which was crusted over with dried blood and fluid, I noticed that it was about a half-inch scab that looked to be a couple of days old. Fortunately, it was not infected or painful (at this point). The area where he has the wound and his behaviour change during his stay indicates to me that he was hurt at some point either by a sharp object (I AM NOT insinuating she did anything) or another dog (most likely scenario considering the spot it's at). So listen, if I had gotten there and she'd said there was an incident and was really sorry about it I would have been fine with it, stuff happens. But the NOT noticing the wound and not contributing his sudden behaviour change to fear response really bugs me the most. With a puncture wound like this he would have made some noise at least!!! She comes off very knowledgeable but seems to not really understand dogs as much as she claims and/or is overwhelmed with too many dogs at once or maybe she just didn't like my dog, that's all just speculation but hey that's all I've got to go on since she had no knowledge of it. He's a little dog with a little dog personality but he loves other dogs and most people and is VERY playful and happy. He's an office dog and has NEVER had an issue with another dog and I am careful when he meets new people, which I told her. I should have asked about her correction technique ahead of time so I'm not "blaming" her for that but having my dog back with diarrhea (this alone wouldn't be so bad, that happens often enough with dogs) AND a bloody wound is pretty freakin upsetting! I chose Karen for her extensive good reviews and her supposed knowledge and attention to detail. I HATE conflict, hate leaving bad feedback and I sure as heck hope this is a one-time fluke experience but I also feel like anyone with anything but the easiest of dogs should really think twice about leaving their dog with Karen. Karen sent me an email requesting more info about the wound and continued to say she had no idea what happened. I sent her an email but last night had as of midday today have not heard back from her...Anyways this is just a cautionary tail, be careful who you trust your fur babies to.

We are VERY fortunate to have found Karen. She is an excellent trainer who has provided a loving home to our puppy. She provided us feedback about our puppy's behavior during his first overnight stay at her house. We value her opinion very much. It totally gives us a peace of mind plus a compliment that she would continue to care for our puppy when we are travelling.

I felt really comfortable leaving my dog with Karen while vacationing. We had a meet and greet session followed by a day care stay first before booking. Karen is a responsible and experienced dog sitter, she knows how to read each dogs personnality and she gives great feedback on training. My dog has a sensitive tummy and Karen knew what to do to make him feel better. I also received a full daily detailed report on how my dog did as well as pictures of him interacting with other dogs. I will definately use Karen again for our future trips.

Karen was nothing short of amazing. As a trainer, she was very thorough in her 'onboarding' and made sure no questions were left unheard. Karen took very well care of our dog and we will happily book with her again.
