“Karen and family took amazing care of our giant Newfoundland Nora. Spoiled her during her stay which was great to see. Pictures and updates daily showed how good of a time she had. Thank you for taking care of our baby.”

“Jess did a great job providing care to my two pups, Joy and Jazzy. She was flexible with their needs and kept me updated with pictures. Thank you, Jess! Aly, Joy and Jazzy ?”

“Alexander cared for my dog exceptionally well. I received photos and videos during the stay and it looked like my dog was having lots of fun. I highly recommend Alexander and will rebook with him for future stays!”

“Alisha and her family are phenomenal! They took such fantastic care of our two dogs while we flew home to the east coast for a few days. From start to finish, I felt completely at ease leaving our fur babies with them. We got pictures every day and Alisha was so responsive to messages. Our dogs were happy to see us when we picked them up but you could tell that they had such a good time that they didn’t miss us too much haha. Don’t hesitate to book with them!”

“I left my Toby with Michelle for a long weekend. She was great with communication from the very beginning! Michelle let me know what to expect and put my worrying at ease. Drop off went smoothly and at least once a day, I received pictures or videos of him! I will absolutely use Michelle again in the future. She was patient and calm with Toby who is nervous around anyone new!”

“Jennifer was so sweet, caring, and accommodating to our pup. I loved getting pictures and messages throughout his stay, which really put my mind at ease. I truly appreciate her taking in a puppy and being so flexible with our schedule tweaks. We'll definitely book again.”

“Tonya did a remarkable job watching our dog! She was attentive to our dog's needs, was in great communication with us throughout his stay, and I had peace of mind knowing my dog was well cared for. I highly recommend Tonya!”

“This was our first time using Rover. We hit the jackpot picking Nicole & Derek. Of course we were worried about leaving Odie and then with the rain the first night, I was really concerned about how Odie was doing. I received pictures and updates plus was told Odie got to sleep with one of their boys! When I picked Odie up, he was happy and really tired from having a fun weekend. Nothing like his reaction or smell when we have had to put him in a kennel. Thank you, thank you, thank you Nicole, Derek and your boys! I hope they will be available when we next need to leave Odie in someone else’s care.”

“Elizabeth was wonderful and very accommodating! If we ever are in Red Wing and need boarding we will definitely call Elizabeth! She is a great communicator and sent pictures of our Buster and Teddy!!”

“Olivia was very open with communication before dropping off my kitten, she sent daily updates with photos, and she even bathed my kitten after her incident in the car. I believe my kitten was very well taken care of and was happy and healthy when she returned.”

About: I grew up in a home with all kinds of pets, and I am very responsible with pet care (paying attention to safety, dietary needs, etc). I have owned cats, dogs (from Chihuahua to giant Mastiff) and I've even owned a snake. I am my family and friends "go-to pet sitter", when they are away on trips. And pets love me, because I speak their language...which is lots of snuggles and sweet talk! And walks! *PRICING* - Rover adds certain extra fees, which I can adjust only after a booking. Please contact me to discuss. I am currently working full-time, but can be with your pet in the evenings - Mon thru Fri, and have an open schedule on the weekends. I will come to you! And since I have often done sleepovers for friends and family, while they're away on a trip, I am very trusted to pay attention to their pets' feeding schedules, dietary needs, and potty/walking routines. I am a responsible pet owner myself, and I believe strongly in the health and safety of pets, so they will be safe with me AND we'll have a great time together! I'm also pretty good at getting some cute photos for you!
“Rachel was great with our dogs, she took them on short notice, she treated our dogs like family, took them for walks, sent us pictures and videos daily. We would absolutely recommend her and use her again! Our dogs loved her! Thank you!!!”

About: 20+ years of experience (that makes me feel old). Unofficial dog sitter for family and friends since high school. Loyal to my fellow dog loving friends sharing word of mouth recommendations, fostered a giant breed and helped find his forever home, loved my first dog for nearly 8 years, and now I would like to fill the void by helping care for your four legged family member. I have experience caring for senior dogs and puppies as well. I work fully remote, so I appreciate the screen breaks. I am able to go out for walks or outdoor time often. After losing my dog this summer, I do miss the quality time and walk routines. We joke that you better love dogs, but it is true. My home is setup to be dog friendly, maybe more rugs for traction on the vinyl plank floors. Animals are part of the family and that is how we treat guest pets as well. Living on 3 acres in the country, so a great space for outdoor activities. I am quite respectful when residing in another’s home and great at following instructions and/or preferred routines.
“We had an amazing experience with Carley and Austin! They took fantastic care of Walter and were so easy to work with. They are incredibly nice and kept me updated with great communication throughout the stay. We’ll definitely be using them again—highly recommend!”

About: I am an energetic person and love to work with animals outside. I do enjoy walks with them, and recently I just got back from working at a dude ranch where I got to work with horses a little. I love to engage with pets and keep them engaged till they are ready to relax. I am a full-time archaeologist, but I have time when I'm not traveling for work in the afternoons. I am looking to take on some extra work and get to care for some pets! I can't have a cat or dog due to my travel, but I love to be around them. I love to play with cats and dogs whenever I care for them. I give them the time they need to get used to me, and play more when they want to be near me or give them as many pets as they request. I am huge on getting dogs outside and getting their energy out.
“Approved a last minute request due to an unexpected need to travel out of town - grateful for that! Was incredibly responsive to communication, sent photos and updates, and created an easy, smooth process for us. Conveniently located in Menomonie, and love that our dog had a fenced in back yard to run in. Would highly recommend!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Olivet home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Olivet.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Olivet sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
