Over: Mijn hele leven heb ik dieren thuis- en om mij heen gehad. In mijn ouderlijk huis hadden we op chronologische volgorde een schapendoes, twee katten en een Mechelaar. Zelf heb ik gezorgd voor een American Bully, een pasgeboren pup en tot vorig jaar een Amerikaanse Stafford. Ik heb vrijwilligerswerk gedaan bij het dierenasiel, met meerdere honden trainingen gevolgd en zelf vorig jaar een opleiding tot hondentrainer doorlopen. Momenteel ben ik in staat om mijn dagen volledig naar eigen wil in te vullen. Ik ben dus erg flexibel. Wel ben ik een actief mens. Ik ga met regelmaat naar de sportschool en maak lange wandelingen in het bos. Ik verblijf momenteel in een chalet op een recreatiepark. Het chalet zelf is niet bijzonder groot, maar ik heb een omheinde tuin en woon op de rand van het bos. Ook zit ik op 15 minuten lopen van de Leuvenumse Bossen (zandverstuiving). Ik heb een groot verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel en loyaliteit en vertrouwen zijn voor mij kernwaarden.

Over: I have had dogs all my life.I have arrived in Neederland and now i don't have animals,so this app could be in contact with animals. I could on weekends and some days from 6 in the afternoon, because I work in the morning and don't finish until 5 in the afternoon. The most important thing is the love you give to your pet, so the home, as long as it is comfortable and secure would be fine.

Over: Ik ben opgegroeid met honden, namelijk cocker spaniels. Ik woon nu in een appartement en ik vlieg als stewardess. Ik vlieg niet fulltime en heb dus regelmatig tijd over. Dit zijn helaas geen vaste tijden, het kan zijn dat ik de ene week op maandag beschikbaar ben, en de andere week op zaterdag of zondag. Ik heb vanuit mijn werk een rooster van vijf weken, dus ik kan vijf weken vooruit plannen. Ik kan zelf helaas geen vaste huisdieren nemen, maar wil toch graag af en toe een huisdier om me heen! Ik heb een groot verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel en heb een rustige uitstraling. Ook kan ik goed met katten overweg. Ik ben een echte dierenvriend en u kunt mij ten alle tijden toevertrouwen aan uw viervoeter!

Over: As cliche as it sounds, I must admit that from my childhood, I’ve always seen myself as a dog lover. My family’s first adoptee, Tom, became a mischievous best friend of mine and I greatly enjoyed spending over 6 years of my life with him. From then on, we’ve adopted two more dogs, and fostered many more. Based on this, I can surely say that I have dealt with an array of characters and personalities, both ‘complex’ and ‘simpler’ ones, and would love to meet many more! From my skill set, I must say I’ve gotten rather confident in most, if not all, aspects a pet caretaker must possess. From such, I’m particularly good at time management with walks and feedings, as well as lengths of walks and entertainment for the pet. At the moment, I’m a laws student in the Amsterdam area. Although at times my availability may be tight due to the number of assessments our course requires from us, I can safely say that most days I’m free. As for pet care specifically, I see it more as a past time for myself during when I can relax and partake in an activity that I genuinely enjoy - thus, I’m always willing to take up a pet visit or walk. Our dogs have an enclosed, green backyard to play in as well as a nearby park in a pet-friendly area. As a precaution, I always make sure to walk my furry friends in areas that are specifically designated for them. Furthermore, I try keep them away from busy roads, and where that is simply not possible, I keep them under a secure watch at all times.

“Maria took care of our dog for several months, because me and my partner had some overlap for office days. You can tell she has experience with dogs, because our dog is normally barky to new people, but was able to trust her very quickly. She was patient and calm with him and followed our wishes on how to deal with our dog. She took him on walks to the woods or the water to meet other dogs and play. We were really happy with her!”
