Over: I'm Vanesa and my big passion are animals. I have 1 cat and a dog. I have more than 10 years of experience with animals, 2 years in Reiki for animals and animals comunication, I am a nutritionist specialising in natural diets and a holistic therapist for animals, well as 5 years in Spain and The Netherlands in shelters (asilos). I'm currently a socialisation volunteer at stichting Zwerfdier in Alkmaar. Why do you love cats? My answer is: how not to love them! I speak Spanish, Portuguese, English and a medium level of Dutch. Over: Met jaren ervaring en een grote interesse in de hondentaal en alles wat hierbij komt kijken, zorg ik voor elke hond met aandacht en begrip. Als trotse eigenaar van een energieke 3-jarige dalmatiër weet ik hoe belangrijk goede communicatie, aandacht en beweging zijn voor je hond. Jouw hond is bij mij in goede handen! Ik werk part-time, dus op mijn vrije dagen heb ik tijd om lekker op pad te gaan! Dit verschilt per week, maar in overleg kunnen we altijd kijken wanneer er een mogelijkheid is om te gaan wandelen. Mijn wandelingen kunnen variëren en pas ik aan op de behoeften van de betreffende hond. Meenemen naar het strand of bos behoort ook tot de mogelijkheden.

Over: I'm a young professional that works from home and have some extra free time and LOVE caring for dogs. So this is the perfect opportunity for me and I have 10+ years of experience caring for dogs on Rover, after graduating from undergrad I took up dog sitting and I have watched homes and pets while family is out of town since then. I am very flexible and reliable and would have a great time with your pet! Why I love dog sitting: I had a dog who I was extremely close with and since his passing I miss a dog's companionship. Because of school and work I'm not able to take care of a dog full time so in the meantime I would love to keep yours company! I’m currently working from home and on my own schedule so I have plenty of time to take your pup on walks and give them lots of attention! How I care for pets varies on the individual pup or cat. Every one of them have their own special needs so I will be sure to be informed and have notes on the stay before booking.

Over: Two Dalmatians, a chihuahua, a Pomeranian and three mutts were my siblings growing up. I took care of them through every vet visit, may it be grooming days, sick days, or the few times they’ve given birth to puppies! I currently work part time so I am mostly at home and can do check-ins or walks, this is updated on my Rover calendar. I stay alert on walks and during home-sitting with pets. Care instructions for your little one will be carefully followed and depending on your preference, I can send updates throughout the sitting.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. A few years later, I am now living in Amsterdam, working full-time with dogs at a fantastic farm facility outside of the city, and finishing up my Master's degree. I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Our apartment has two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️) and plenty of comfy space inside for dogs to relax. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... Because of my professional background managing packs, safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities, whether looking after a pet in my home or yours.

As I'm currently just finished my Master Degree and working hybrid! I have ample flexibility in my schedule to prioritize pet care. Over: I've taken care of dogs and cats my whole life as a pet owner and as a caretaker. I have several years of experience pet walking, pet sitting and pet care in Los Angeles, California. I have had several dogs and cats as my own pets throughout my life. At the moment, my husband and I have two dogs and a cat. I am currently working from home with a very flexible schedule. I also own a car and am willing to travel to you! I am available any time and any day. I have a fenced in garden and covered deck with shade. We also have a doggie pool and several comfy dog beds. We live one block away from a dog friendly park with lots of space for running and interacting with other dogs if wanted.

Over: Welcome to our little dog-loving haven! We’re Cat and Derek, a fun-loving couple with a passion for hospitality, good food, and, most importantly, amazing dogs! Our home is a warm, friendly retreat where tails wag, paws play, and every furry guest is family. Truffle, our resident Frisbee champion and cuddle expert, loves making new friends. He’ll show visitors the best sunny nap spots and maybe even share his favorite toys (maybe). We believe every dog deserves love, attention, and plenty of playtime. Only friendly, well-behaved dogs need apply—Truffle insists on it! If your pup is sweet, social, and ready to be spoiled, we can’t wait to welcome them. Let’s make some tail-wagging memories together! We work part-time and from home, so we have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. Living in the heart of Haarlem, we’re close to great parks and scenic walking paths, making daily outings easy and fun. Our routine includes morning and evening walks, playtime with Truffle, and plenty of cuddle breaks throughout the day. We love having dogs around and always make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need!

Over: Opgegroeid met herders en daarna altijd op de honden van vrienden en kennissen gepast voor langere periodes. In 2019 ben ik begonnen met Dogbuddy (nu Rover) en dit beviel erg goed. Ik was voor langere tijd de vaste oppas voor verschillende honden of ze kwamen vaker terug bij vakanties en/of weekendjes weg. Zelfs is er aan mij gevraagd of ik enkele honden wil overnemen, omdat de gezinnen helaas te weinig tijd hadden. Sinds 4 jaar een eigen hond (Ozzy, gecastreerde reu) Dit is een kruising tussen een Leonberger en een Corgi Pembroke. Een heerlijk vrolijke noot en het lijkt ons zeker leuk om onze vrije dagen met nog een hond te delen. Ik woon in Heemskerk vlakbij Wijk aan zee strand, waar ik ook regelmatig ga wandelen samen met Ozzy. Het bos is ook een populaire bestemming waar wij vaak te vinden zijn. Lekker los kunnen lopen is dan ook een must! Op zaterdag, zondag maandag ben ik vrij en kan ik makkelijk een hond extra erbij verzorgen. Op de andere dagen werk ik en wissel ik af met mijn vriend. Ook logeert onze hond 1 nachtje bij mijn ouders doordeweeks. Ik heb een omheinde tuin en een grote camper om de honden apart in te vervoeren naar het strand. Mijn hond zit voorin en de andere hond kan achterin liggen.
