“Via het internet heb ik de organisatie Rover gevonden. Wij zijn op vakantie in Callantsoog en kregen het bericht dat er een goede vriend was overleden. Wij wilden naar de crematie maar konden onze hond Dex niet in de Caravan achterlaten vanwege de hoge temperaturen. Via Rover zijn wij met Maria in contact gekomen en haar uitgekozen om een dag en nacht op Dex te passen. Maria is een superlieve vrouw en dierenvriend, het klikte tussen ons en Dex en wij konden hem met een zeer rustig gevoel bij haar achterlaten. Wij werden zeer goed geïnformeerd met korte filmpjes over het wel en wee van Dex en Maria. Maria hartelijk bedankt en wij wensen jou alle goeds, jij bent een echte Dierenvriendin‼️”

Over: Hoi hoi, ik heb bij mijn ouders thuis altijd een hond gehad. Hier speelde ik met plezier mee en liep ik vaak een rondje. Nu ik in Alkmaar woon zou ik het leuk vinden om af en toe een rondje met een hond te wandelen! Door de weeks werk in in de kinderopvang. Ik werk vaak 4 dagen, de andere dagen ben ik beschikbaar om een rondje met uw hond te lopen of meer. Bij mijn ouders behandelen wij onze hond met liefde. Altijd gezellig om dieren om je heen te hebben. Natuurlijk zal ik ook met respect met uw dier omgaan en hoor ik graag wat de beste verzorgingsmethode is!

Over: I have grown up with dogs. Since i was 8 years old i started taking care of our family dog. Because of him i have experience in senior care. He was sick and is not around us anymore for 2 years now. Now we got a puppy of 5 monts, a belgian malinois. Because of him i also have experience in puppy care and training. A belgian malinios needs consistency and a lot of exercise. I have trained him a lot and love going on long walks with him and seeing him enjoy it. When i got time i give him all of it, because thats what our dogs wait for all day, too spend time with us. We also got 2 cats of 2 and 3 years old. I currently work parttime. My familypets always get love and i got some more for yours. I like to go on a walk by myself, so with a walkmate i would love to go! I am very patient for your pets. If you tell me exactly what you do, i will follow the rules. Mostly dogs need consistency. I can send photos, thats a small gesture that can make your day better at work🤗

Over: Ik heb sinds mijn 10e voor de twee honden van mijn grootouders gezorgd. Daarnaast heb ik twee katten die ik dagelijks verzorg. Naast huisdieren heb ik ook aardig wat ervaring met andere dieren. Ik heb vorig jaar namelijk tijdens mij reis in Costa Rica vrijwilligerswerk gedaan in een Animal Rescue Centre. Hier was ik ‘in charge of’ de brulapen. Super vette ervaring! Naast brulapen hadden zij ook dieren als luiaarden, honden, herten, alligators, etc. Momenteel ben ik net gestopt mijn opleiding Psychologie aan de Vrije Universiteit en werk ik parttime voor de GGD. Huisdieren verzorgen past makkelijk in dit schema! Thuis heb ik twee katten die momenteel niet veel verzorgen nodig hebben, behalve eten, drinken en héél veel aandacht natuurlijk. Mijn katten hebben op dit moment het meeste baat bij de aandacht die mijn gezin en ik hen geven. Ze beginnen nu wel richting de leeftijd 10 jaar te gaan, maar ze hebben nog geen mankementen (gelukkig).

Over: Als professioneel opgeleide hondenuitlaatservice en hondentrainer, geniet ik dagelijks van de vrolijke energie van honden, terwijl we samen mooie wandelingen maken door diverse buurten, parken en bossen. Het verzorgen en uitlaten van honden is bij privé uitlaatservice "De Hondenkenner" dagelijkse routine. We staan iedere dag klaar voor álle honden die wat extra ondersteuning, aandacht en begeleiding kunnen gebruiken. In de afgelopen jaren heb ik ontzettend veel ervaring op gedaan in het verzorgen en trainen van honden. Over: Ik heb als kind zelf altijd honden gehad en ze ook altijd uitgelaten en veel met ze geknuffeld en gespeeld. Zelf hebben wij een chihuahua gehad die hebben we helaas moeten laten inslapen. Over: k heb ervaring met het verzorgen en uitlaten van honden van verschillende leeftijden en karakters. Ik vind het belangrijk om goed te kijken naar de behoeften van iedere hond, of het nu gaat om een energieke wandeling, spelen en aandacht, of juist een rustige aanpak. Door mijn geduldige en verantwoordelijke houding voelen honden zich snel op hun gemak bij mij. Ik zorg ervoor dat ze voldoende beweging, aandacht en verzorging krijgen, zodat ze zich veilig en gelukkig voelen terwijl hun baasje weg is. Ik werk vanuit huis, waardoor ik veel tijd heb om aandacht te geven aan de dieren die ik verzorg. Over: Hi! 😊 Honden zijn voor mij echt familie en ik vind het belangrijk dat ze zich veilig, geliefd en op hun gemak voelen. Ik heb een tijd op een ranch in Duitsland gewoond waar we twee Australian Shepherds en een Border Collie hadden. De Aussies heb ik grotendeels vanaf pup opgevoed en met onze Border Collie, die een lastig verleden had, ben ik ook meerdere keren naar de hondenschool geweest. Daardoor heb ik geleerd goed om te gaan met verschillende karakters en gedragingen. Daarnaast heb ik vaak opgepast op de Jack Russell van een vriendin tijdens vakanties en andere momenten. Ik hou van lange wandelingen, avontuur en actief bezig zijn met honden — vroeger nam ik ze zelfs regelmatig mee tijdens het paardrijden 😊 Ik ben geduldig, rustig en speels, maar durf ook duidelijk en consequent te zijn wanneer dat nodig is. Medicatie geven is geen probleem en ik sta open voor alle soorten honden. Ik geloof niet echt in “slechte rassen”, iedere hond is anders en verdient een eerlijke kans en liefdevolle begeleiding. Verder heb ik een auto, dus uitstapjes of ophalen is vaak mogelijk. En ja… als een hond graag bij je op bed kruipt voor extra knuffels, dan vind ik dat helemaal gezellig 🐾 Momenteel heb ik nog geen vaste baan, waardoor ik veel vrije tijd en flexibiliteit heb. Daardoor kan ik huisdieren veel aandacht geven, wandelingen plannen en mijn dagelijkse routine aanpassen aan hun behoeften Ik zorg voor een rustige, veilige en vertrouwde omgeving voor ieder huisdier en heb een omheind tuintje. Over: I grew up with dogs and, as an adult, have regularly cared for dogs for friends, so I feel very comfortable and confident around them. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs—whether that’s going for active walks and playtime or simply relaxing together for a cuddle on the couch. I am the sole caregiver and will always be the one responsible for your dog’s care and supervision. I understand how important it is to feel that your pet is in safe, reliable hands. I do have an 8-year-old child who is present after school hours. He is very gentle, respectful, and absolutely loves dogs. He enjoys playing and cuddling with them, but your dog will never be left alone with him—I am always present and supervising interactions to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. I work full time, but I am self-employed, so can bring dogs with me to work. From there we can go for a longer walk around lunchtime, or shorter toilet breaks as necessary. Longer walks are also possible before or after work. On weekends we can go for adventures to the many parks of Amsterdam. I have a bakfiets, so if it’s ok with you, we can get around town with the wind in our fur! I have a clean and welcoming environment in my home, with room for playing and napping. I live on the third floor, and there are stairs inside my apartment too. I’m happy to carry smaller dogs up and down, but this might be something to consider. In general, when I am caring for a dog, it’s much like having a child to take care of. I do have an 8 year old (who is very sweet and gentle with dogs), so your dog has to be friendly and comfortable with children. I also need to know how your dog is with other dogs and people, so I can act accordingly. I never let dogs off leash before i know them very well, because I take my responsibility very seriously. And always pick up poop!

Over: Opgegroeid met herders en daarna altijd op de honden van vrienden en kennissen gepast voor langere periodes. In 2019 ben ik begonnen met Dogbuddy (nu Rover) en dit beviel erg goed. Ik was voor langere tijd de vaste oppas voor verschillende honden of ze kwamen vaker terug bij vakanties en/of weekendjes weg. Zelfs is er aan mij gevraagd of ik enkele honden wil overnemen, omdat de gezinnen helaas te weinig tijd hadden. Sinds 4 jaar een eigen hond (Ozzy, gecastreerde reu) Dit is een kruising tussen een Leonberger en een Corgi Pembroke. Een heerlijk vrolijke noot en het lijkt ons zeker leuk om onze vrije dagen met nog een hond te delen. Ik woon in Heemskerk vlakbij Wijk aan zee strand, waar ik ook regelmatig ga wandelen samen met Ozzy. Het bos is ook een populaire bestemming waar wij vaak te vinden zijn. Lekker los kunnen lopen is dan ook een must! Op zaterdag, zondag maandag ben ik vrij en kan ik makkelijk een hond extra erbij verzorgen. Op de andere dagen werk ik en wissel ik af met mijn vriend. Ook logeert onze hond 1 nachtje bij mijn ouders doordeweeks. Ik heb een omheinde tuin en een grote camper om de honden apart in te vervoeren naar het strand. Mijn hond zit voorin en de andere hond kan achterin liggen.

Over: Two Dalmatians, a chihuahua, a Pomeranian and three mutts were my siblings growing up. Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. Wij wilden naar de crematie maar konden onze hond Dex niet in de Caravan achterlaten vanwege de hoge temperaturen. Over: Mijn vriend is opgegroeid met een hond en heeft dus veel ervaring met hondengedrag. Zelf ben ik opgegroeid met heel veel huisdieren én liet ik vroeger altijd alle honden uit de straat uit! We zijn allebei échte dierenliefhebbers. We houden allebei enorm van wandelen in het bos, dus we zijn altijd wel in voor een goede wandeling met jouw hond! En omdat we met z'n tweeën zijn, krijgt je hond bij ons sowieso alle aandacht en knuffels die hij verdient. Hoewel we allebei fulltime werken, werken we 2 tot 3 dagen per week vanuit huis. Hierdoor hebben we superveel flexibiliteit om onze dag helemaal om jouw hond heen te plannen! Mocht het een keer nodig zijn, dan mag de hond zelfs met ons mee naar kantoor. We zijn allebei erg actief en wonen direct aan het park. Tussen het werken door kunnen we dus heel gemakkelijk even naar buiten voor een heerlijke, actieve wandeling! We wonen direct aan het park, dus we stappen zo het groen in zonder langs drukke wegen te hoeven lopen. Tijdens het wandelen houden we honden voor de veiligheid altijd netjes aan de lijn. Om je een gerust gevoel te geven, sturen we gedurende de dag gezellig foto's en updates. Ook plannen we vooraf altijd een vrijblijvende Meet & Greet. Zo kunnen we rustig bespreken wat jouw hond gewend is qua ritme en regels, en stemmen we alles perfect af!
