About: I know that you have many options for care. I have been working through Rover since early 2020 and would like to share some information about myself. I made the decision to take an early retirement after twenty-two years at Northwestern State University when my husband and I relocated to Shreveport and both of our children went off to college. This move gave me the opportunity to pursue a job that I ❤️ and am passionate about. I believe dogs and cats are the most awesome of Earth's creatures, and, in my eyes, are such precious members of our families. I am a long-time dog and cat owner and currently a parent to three rescued dogs. I also was an active volunteer and Board Member for Natchitoches Hope for Paws dog rescue from 2012 to 2022. During this time, I worked with 150+ rescued dogs at the site and through the foster program. I found so much pleasure and enjoyment working as a rescue volunteer and wanted to expand my love and care of these most precious of animals. As a volunteer, I cleaned kennels, administered medications, walked and played with dogs, worked with basic training techniques and leash walking, and evaluated and monitored dog behaviors and personalities for proper socialization and integration with other dogs including aggressive and high anxiety dogs. I treat all animals as if they are my own. I love all fur babies big, small, young, and old. I am available at any time and since I am retired, I am able to provide drop-in services, walks, and overnight care (for socialized and house trained dogs who are current on all shots and flea/tick preventives), including medication administration and care for aggressive and high-anxiety dogs. I have no problems with cleaning up accidents and will ensure that your home stays clean of messes. I am also a firm believer in sending pictures while you are away so you can be comforted that your dog (or cat) is receiving nothing but the upmost care and love while you are away. No requested service is to great or small! I would welcome the opportunity to help you with care needs for your fur babies! Since I am retired, I am available at any time for drop-ins, walks, and overnight boarding (socialized and house trained only). I am also able to work around flexible and changing schedules. I live in a house with a large fully fenced backyard and have a doggy door which allows the dogs to move freely in and out of the house as they desire.
“Amelia made sure to send plenty of photo updates and Sammie had so much fun with her pup. She took them for walks and had them play in her yard. She is amazing.”

About: Pet sitting is awesome because I want to spend time with as many wonderful pets as I can. I'll treat them just as well as I would like my pets to be treated since I know how important they are. Prior to Good Dog, I would pet sit for family, friends and neighbors. They deserve the best care even the little rambunctious ones. I have been working and volunteering in pet care for years. Interacting with any animal makes me happy but bunnies will always have a special place in my heart. Regardless of whether they have fur or scales I treat my pets, and other’s pets as family members who need just as much love and emotional care as they do physically. Thank you for this opportunity
“This was my first time using Rover.com. Ariel, I reached out to you during the evening of Jan 19th to see if you could accommodate watching Tyson (Chi) Jan 23rd. Your response back was prompt and I really appreciate you being able to schedule a meet and greet beforehand and the ability to watch Tyson with such a short notice on my behalf. I feel comfortable leaving my fur baby with you based off of (1) your nice neighborhood and (2) your welcoming home! It is more than enough room for my 6 lb Chi to exercise! I loved the fact that my text messages and phone calls were answered in a timely manner while I was out of town. It was wonderful meeting you and I look forward in using your services again without hesitation. All the best, Earlene”
