About: I’m a 20-year-old college athlete currently playing volleyball at Gardner-Webb University. I’ve been taking care of dogs for several years and have experience with breeds ranging from French Bulldogs to medium-sized mixed breeds. Friends and family trust me to walk, feed, and care for their pets with love and attention. I’m dependable, responsible, and truly enjoy spending time with dogs—whether it’s playtime, a relaxing walk, or just hanging out together. As a student-athlete with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets—especially for walks, drop-ins, or weekend boarding. I’m usually available weekdays after 10 AM and most weekends. I make sure to plan around your pet’s needs and routines, so they always feel cared for and comfortable. I live in Statesville and offer pet care in your home, where your pet feels most comfortable and secure. I always prioritize safety and follow your instructions carefully to keep your pet happy and healthy. I’m trustworthy, dependable, and committed to treating your home and your pet with the same respect and care I would expect for my own.

“Alyshia Jane is a very good communicator and responds quickly to messages. She is great with our farm animal's and everything went smooth as expected during the visits. 👍”

About: With many years of experience as a veterinary technician in both shelter and clinic settings, I bring a deep understanding of animal behavior, health, and care to every pet I work with. My hands-on experience ranges from administering medications and handling emergencies to comforting anxious pets and supporting their emotional well-being. I’ve worked with animals of all sizes, temperaments, and medical needs, making me exceptionally well-prepared for pet sitting, dog walking, and providing attentive, professional care. Your pets will be in the hands of someone who treats them with the same compassion, patience, and expertise that I’ve developed over years in the field! I love being able to meet other people's fur babies and make them feel safe and happy when under my care.❤️ I am currently only working two days a week at my veterinary clinic, which leaves me with a fairly open and flexible schedule. This allows me plenty of time to dedicate to pet sitting, dog walking, and providing reliable, attentive care for your pets when you need it most. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I prioritize their comfort, safety, and routine. I make sure to follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and behavior. In my home, I provide a clean, pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and a calm atmosphere. When caring for pets in their own home, I maintain their regular routine to reduce stress, keep their space tidy, and make sure they feel secure and loved while their owners are away. My background as a veterinary technician means I’m also confident handling any special needs or medical situations that may arise.

“Very happy with Jonathan. He is very conscientious, and kind to Athena, my cat.”

“We have rebooted with Victoria 3 times. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. It gives us so much comfort to travel out of state, knowing that she is caring for our pets. She loves on them like they are her own pets. She has watched our multi-pet household which includes 4 dogs, 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs. She even carried our elderly 50-pound dog outside for potty breaks. She replaced the dog's diapers for her, and even put all of the dirty diapers in the washer for us so we had clean diapers when we got home. She always goes above and beyond, and it provides me so much relief to know my pets are being cared for while we are away. Highly recommend her!”

About: Hello! I have around 9 years of experience taking care of pets including cats, dogs, snakes, goats, rodents, and fish. With both puppy/kitten experience and senior animal experience i am confident in my skills and above all care for animals big and small. I am experienced with specialized diets as both my senior dog and cat have special dietary needs, and I've handled giving medicine via shots, pills, and pastes. I do have some puppy training experience as well as working breed care/handling. My farm animal expertise is limited but I am confident I can learn and apply my current skills towards caring for you pets. I am a full time student and work part time as well, so my days can get a little hectic. Rest assured, my furry friends are always given every moment of my free time! I love caring for animals and being surrounded by them, so I always make a conscious effort to be with them as much as possible. Of course your furry friends will recieve that too! Meals and proper walks and playtime will always be provided, and I will do my best to fit into any routines of yours that your pet may be adapted to so they don't get stressed from the change. I make sure to strictly follow all rules set out by the pet parents, including being tidy and respectful in the area at all times. I always come alone, you can always be assured I have your pets' happiness and safety in mind. I do not currently have space to board any animals. I also don't mind doing house chores as needed especially plant care, yard cleaning, poop scooping, etc. Just let me know!!

“Melody was so professional! I came back from a vacation and my cat was healthy and happy. Thanks so much Melody for taking care of her while I was away. 10/10 recommend.”

About: I’ve had dogs since a very young age, and currently have 1 large dog. She’s a certified lovable crackhead. I’ve had cats before but don’t currently as mine thinks she can harass them. I enjoy training dogs in my free time as I work with mine regularly. I work EMS so my schedules a little weird but I’d love to help out with your fur babies. I can handle medication administration and CPR if needed. Whatever their play needs are I can work around. Whether they love long or short walks I can provide as well. I work healthcare so my schedules a little but I’ll make something work! Drop ins and walks would be the best options for me but feel free to reach out! I wouldn’t be able to care for any babies in my home but I can easily assist at yours. My baby is on a schedule of 7a/7p is breakfast/dinner. She goes outside when she alerts me, and is free roam when outside. I can follow any instructions you provide otherwise I’d care for your babies like I would mine (probably spoil them).

“Nicole is AMAZING! I have two miniature schnauzers—one is a senior who needs a little extra TLC, and the other is diabetic with several medical needs. I'm very particular when it comes to the care of my fur babies, and Nicole went above and beyond to make sure they were well taken care of. She took the time to truly understand their routines and needs, and I could tell she genuinely cared for them. I highly recommend Nicole to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and attentive pet sitter. She's a true gem!”

Jennye J.
“It is a pleasure to recommend Jennye for her outstanding pet care. Jennye is a great pet owner herself. She's very attentive and caring, as she puts a lot of time and effort into training and caring for her dog. She has done such a great job working on any behavioral issues, training, and socializing. He is a much happier boy since she's had him. She has also gone out of her way to make sure she can help take care of other people's pets just as well. She is reliable on timing when her assistance is needed. She has done an amazing job at calming and befriending my very skittish cats. She keeps my troublemakers occupied and behaved when she is with them. She's always happily greeted or very quickly warmed up to by our fur babies. If I ever have any questions, she is quick to respond. I genuinely, wholeheartedly, trust her with all four of my pets.”

“Jessie is my Fiancée, and in the 6 years I’ve known her she’s taken great care of her (now deceased) childhood dog who lived a long, happy life of 15 years. She now has a kitten who she has been caring for amazingly since we adopted her. Jessie comes from a family of animal loving people and in my opinion, she follows suit. I can say with full confidence that Jessie will be a great addition to rover.com”
