“Melissa did such an amazing job taking care of my dog Melo. I went away for the weekend and was able to book with her a week before. She introduced my dog to her other animals for the first time and I think he was so happy to have other furry friends for the weekend. Melissa was super clear and communicative throughout. I loved seeing the photos and videos every few hours so I always felt like melo was in good hands. She also had a print out award and treat for Melo after his stay which was so sweet. Thanks again Melissa for watching Melo :)”

“When my dog sitter fell through last minute before the long weekend, I was scrambling and I turned to Rover. Monica and Kelvin were available, very communicative and my dog came home relaxed and happy! Would definitely re-book.”

“It was such a pleasure leaving raiden my basenji with Sridevi for the past 7 days. I would definitely recommend if she is available. They sent pictures and updates everyday and it was a pleasure. They are caring and loving family. Thank you so much for taking care of raiden.”

“I had such a great experience with Lieb. He took amazing care of my dog and went above and beyond to keep me updated. I received lots of pictures and videos throughout the stay, which really helped me feel at ease knowing she was safe, happy, and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again! Highly recommend.”

“Brittny provided excellent care for our goldendoodle, Billie Holiday. Brittny has a large dog of her own, so is quite familiar with the craziness that a big, active dog can bring to the party. I was very happy that Billie had such a wonderful home and family to spend a long weekend with. I will definitely be calling Brittny again!”

“This was our 3rd time booking Bingo with Ann & her family. Ann sends pictures of Bingo from time to time. We enjoyed our vacation knowing that our pet is in a good place while we are away.”

“Brittany was excellent! She cared for our dogs like they were her own, which gave us so much peace of mind. We loved receiving daily pictures and updates — it really showed how attentive and caring she is. Her fenced yard made us feel especially comfortable about our dogs’ safety, and she made sure they got outside multiple times each day for exercise, fresh air, and playtime. We couldn’t be happier with the care she provided and would definitely recommend her. Truly kind and caring!”

About: I grew up with both dogs and cats, and caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs belonging to friends, family members, and clients—including dogs with anxiety, especially while their owners are traveling. Many of these dogs had previously stayed in large commercial boarding facilities where multiple dogs share the same space, which often increased their stress and anxiety. I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference a calm home environment and personalized one-on-one attention can make. I am also certified in American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid, so I’m prepared to respond in case of an emergency and provide attentive care for your pets. I focus on patience, consistency, and gentle, loving care to help each dog feel safe, comfortable, and secure. With dedicated attention and companionship, I’ve watched anxious dogs gradually become more relaxed and confident—sometimes they even seem reluctant to leave! :) I’m home full-time to care for your pup. This means your dog will receive plenty of attention, regular walks, and consistent, loving care throughout the day. I have the time and flexibility to focus on your dog’s individual needs, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for during their stay. I keep my schedule flexible, but I only care for one dog at a time to provide the best possible experience. Because of this, spots can fill quickly—especially during holidays—so please plan and book in advance. Located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, my home is designed to provide comfort, security, and plenty of room for your dog to relax and play. Your pup will enjoy a park-like backyard—nearly half an acre—fully fenced for safe exploration and outdoor fun. Whether they love to run, sniff, or simply lounge in the sun, there’s plenty of space to feel at home. In the summer, I also set up a dog-friendly swimming pool so they can cool off and have some extra fun. I share my home with a very friendly 9-year-old Black Lab who is gentle, well-socialized, and enjoys calm companionship with other dogs. To ensure every dog gets the attention, care, and comfort they deserve, I typically host only one dog at a time (with a maximum of two during holidays). This allows me to focus on your dog’s individual needs and create a low-stress, personalized experience. Your dog will be treated like family here—safe, happy, and well cared for every step of the way.
“Sunny is the best caregiver. Attends to all details and takes notes for any quirks and preferences. I feel as close to my dog as when I am at home because she constantly gives updates with details and pictures/videos.”

“Arsenii takes great care of Bubba like always! We can rest assured that Bubba would have a great time when we are in vacation if he’s with Arsenii. He’s simply Bubba’s favorite :)”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Monsey
Our dog Mookie had a wonderful stay with Kelvin & Monica! This was my first time using Rover and having Mookie stay with a pet sitter while we are on vacation, but they made the process so easy, and I was able to enjoy my vacation! They took wonderful care of him, and were very communicative with updates and pictures. I felt such a sense of relief, knowing that he was being well cared for. They were very quick to respond, and very flexible when our flight got delayed and we had to pick him up a little bit later than originally scheduled. I look forward to working with them again in the future!!

Melissa and her family are just AMAZING!!!! They took such great care of my dog that I wasn't sure if she'd want to return home :-) I received multiple videos a day that kept me up-to-date on Harley's fun. What a treat to see my dog so happy, playing fetch, going on long walks and snuggling on the couch. She definitely fit right into Melissa's family and I can't thank Melissa (and her family) enough for creating such a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere for my pup.

I’m so happy I found Melissa on Rover! Our dog, Betsy had the BEST time staying at her house for the weekend! Out on hikes, running in and out of creeks, exploring the backyard, and cozy in the house with the family. (+ I didn’t know Betsy was totally ok with cats!) We loved the video and photo updates while we were away. Betsy had so much fun, I kinda want to stay there too next time! 😊 Melissa is a kind soul and will love your pet as if it’s her own. I’m so happy to have met her and her lovely family!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
