I work from home most of the time, which makes pet care a natural part of my daily routine. Since I’m home throughout the day, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, love, and timely potty breaks. Whether it’s morning walks, mid day play sessions, or just having a calm, familiar presence around, I’m able to be fully present and responsive to each pet’s needs. Their comfort and care easily fit into my everyday life and honestly, they make my workdays better too!

When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment. I stick to the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible,this includes feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, exercise, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. I make sure they have access to fresh water at all times and a cozy space to rest. I also monitor their behavior closely for any signs of stress or illness. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their instructions carefully to maintain consistency for the pet. I provide feeding, walking, litter box cleaning, medication administration if needed, and lots of affection and attention. I always ensure the home is left clean and secure after each visit.

A typical day
A typical day with me? Think doggy vacation mode! We’ll start the day with a refreshing walk to sniff every tree, fire hydrant, and mysterious blade of grass in the neighborhood. Then it’s breakfast time served with love (and maybe a side of baby talk). After that, the day is all about your pet’s favorite things. Whether it’s tug-of-war battles, squeaky toy concerts, sunbathing like royalty, or simply curling up for cuddles we’ll do it all. I love keeping pets mentally and physically engaged, so there’s never a dull moment (unless your pet’s favorite thing is naps… in that case, I’m a professional nap buddy too). We’ll follow your pet’s usual routine to keep things familiar and stress-free, and I’ll send plenty of updates and photos along the way—so you don’t miss a single happy tail wag or goofy moment.

What began as helping friends and family quickly grew into a dedicated passion for providing dependable, loving, and personalized pet care. I’ve cared for pets with special medical needs, separation anxiety, and high energy temperaments, always adapting my approach to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. We chose Zuri based on the many positive reviews highlighting strong communication, frequent updates, and lots of photos/videos. Our meet and greet went well, and we felt comfortable leaving our senior dog in her care. Unfortunately, our experience did not fully match those expectations. While Zuri was responsive when we reached out, communication throughout the stay was minimal and not very proactive. When we picked our dog up, he smelled strongly of urine (including his harness), was panting heavily, pacing, and drank a significant amount of water once we got home, which concerned us. After following up, Zuri shared that he had experienced an accident and that she cleaned him as best she could. I understand accidents can happen, especially with senior dogs and poor weather, and I appreciate that she cared for him while we were away. However, given the limited proactive communication and his condition at pickup, I think this experience may be a better fit for pet owners with different expectations around updates and senior dog care. We recognize that expectations around updates can differ from owner to owner; we’d likely communicate more explicitly about our expectations for update frequency and senior dog care needs in the future.
Zuri made me feel comfortable and confident to use Rover, again! She kept me updated (with pictures) and made sure my fur guy was in good hands. She was also very understanding when I had a sudden change in my schedule. I highly recommend her services! Thank you, Zuri!!!!
