The Best Care for Your Best Friend

Hi! My name is Zoey, and I’m a lifelong animal lover offering dog walking and pet sitting services in the New Haven area. I’m a teacher by profession, so being responsible, patient, organized, and caring comes naturally to me. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I’ll always treat your animals like family. I also have a 1-year-old Bernedoodle who is friendly, playful, and loves other dogs! Having a young, energetic dog of my own has given me lots of experience with walks, training reinforcement, routines, playtime, and providing patient care for high-energy pups. My husband also has a flexible work schedule and is home frequently, so there is often someone around to give extra attention, supervision, and care. Our home has a small backyard with long-leash tie-outs for safe outdoor time, potty breaks, and fresh air throughout the day. Whether your dog needs a long walk, drop-in visits, overnight care, or extra attention while you’re away, I’m happy to help. I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, loved, exercised, and comfortable — and I always include photo updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets!

Schedule

As a teacher, I’m home full-time during summer break, which allows me to provide lots of attention, supervision, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Your pet will rarely be left alone, and I’m able to be very flexible with scheduling, routines, and individualized care during the summer months.

Safety, trust & environment

Creating a safe, calm, and loving environment for your pet is my top priority. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet in someone else’s care, and I treat every animal like they are my own. My home is clean, pet-friendly, and supervised throughout the day, with a small backyard and secure long-leash tie-outs for safe outdoor time. I always prioritize slow introductions, close supervision, and making sure each pet feels comfortable, relaxed, and cared for. I’m happy to follow your dog’s specific routines, feeding schedules, training preferences, and any special instructions to help them feel as safe and at-home as possible.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day in my care includes walks, playtime, outdoor breaks, relaxation, and lots of attention throughout the day. Because I’m home frequently, pets are rarely left alone and receive plenty of supervision, companionship, and care. My goal is to create a safe, calm, and loving environment where your pet feels comfortable and happy.

Before caring for your pet, I like to learn about their routine, personality, energy level, feeding schedule, potty habits, and any medical or behavioral needs. It’s also helpful to know how they interact with other dogs, any triggers or anxieties they may have, and what helps them feel most comfortable and safe. My goal is to make their experience as stress-free, personalized, and familiar as possible.
