Information Zoe Z. would like to know about your pet

Before confirming a booking, we like to learn about your pet’s daily routine, personality, energy level, comfort with other dogs, walking habits, feeding routine, health needs, and any behaviour or training needs. For puppies, young dogs, very large dogs, highly energetic dogs, or dogs who need more individual support, a meet & greet is usually needed before booking. This helps us understand the dog’s personality, safety level, confidence, boundaries, and what kind of care or training support would be suitable. If a dog needs more than regular daycare or boarding, such as close one-to-one supervision, puppy training support, leash manners, calmness training, over-excitement support, food/object manners, or behaviour guidance, the price may vary depending on the dog’s size, behaviour, training needs, and level of supervision required. Any adjusted price will always be discussed clearly through Rover before the booking is confirmed.

A typical day

A typical day is calm, structured, and full of attention. We start with a morning walk and some gentle play, followed by feeding and rest time. Throughout the day, we include interactive play, mental stimulation games, and relaxed companionship at home. Dogs also enjoy sniff walks in the neighborhood or nearby green areas, and in the evening we wind down with another walk, playtime, and quiet time together so they feel relaxed, safe, and cared for.

Loving care with training support

Pet care experience

Some dogs need more than just a sitter. They need people who can understand their body language, emotions, habits, boundaries, and little ways of communicating. That is what we focus on in our home: calm, loving care with a deeper understanding of dog behaviour. I live with my husband, who works with dog training and has 6 years of close hands on experience handling and training dogs. He has worked with many different types of dogs, including dogs with more challenging behaviours, and has strong experience with body language, boundaries, calm handling, confidence building, and everyday training foundations. Together, we provide a safe, structured, and caring environment where dogs are treated as family members who are temporarily away from their people. We pay close attention to each dog’s personality, comfort level, stress signals, excitement level, confidence, and interactions with other dogs. For us, good dog care is not only about feeding, walking, and supervision. It is about helping each dog feel safe, understood, and respected. Some dogs are confident and social. Some are sensitive, shy, easily excited, clingy, or still learning basic manners. We adjust our care to the individual dog rather than treating every dog the same. We always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding routines, walking habits, house rules, medication if needed, comfort levels, boundaries, and preferred handling style. We never force a dog into situations they are not ready for. For puppies and young dogs, we can also provide gentle training support during care, depending on the dog’s age, personality, and the owner’s wishes. This may include basic obedience and daily manners such as sit, down, wait, stay, recall, walking close, focus, calmness, polite greeting, not jumping up, reducing over-excitement, leaving or dropping things, and building safer habits around food, objects, and other dogs. We can also help puppies become more comfortable with everyday body handling, such as paws, ears, mouth, collar, harness, grooming touch, and other sensitive areas, always in a gentle and respectful way. Young dogs, especially around 4–8 months and under 2 years old, are often in a very important learning stage. With calm routines and consistent guidance, this period can be a great time to build confidence, better manners, and safer behaviour in daily life. For adult dogs with existing behaviour issues, we are happy to discuss what may be realistic case by case. Some behaviours can improve with structure and consistency, while long established habits may need more time and cannot be guaranteed to change. Our goal is simple: your dog should feel safe, understood, respected, and genuinely cared for, not just looked after.

Tack Zoe!

Zoe has been kind, patient and helpful on the two occasions she has watched Socks so far. We hope to return to her.
