Animals have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up with three dogs and two cats, spending nearly 10 years volunteering as a caretaker at a zoo, and raising my own dog well into her senior years has given me a deep, well rounded foundation in animal care. My true specialty is elderly and disabled dogs. I understand the unique patience, attentiveness, and medical knowledge that aging and special needs pets require, and I’m passionate about giving them the comfort and quality of life they deserve.

Zoe was so great in watching our cat Comet! She was timely, communicative, and really sweet with Comet. We will definitely be booking her next time we're out of town.

Schedule
As a full-time healthcare worker, I’m most available evenings and weekends, though I’m always happy to discuss your specific needs. I offer care both in my home and yours, and make it a priority to maintain your pet’s existing routines, whether that’s sitting before coming inside, tricks before treats, furniture boundaries, or specific commands. With my own dog having recently passed after nearly 16 years together, I have a newfound openness in my home and heart. I have no breed restrictions and welcome all pets with open arms.

I live in an apartment and prefer to care for one dog at a time in my home, ensuring your pet receives my full, undivided attention. My space is calm, clean, and free of other animals, making it ideal for dogs who are anxious, elderly, or adjusting to a new environment. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your rules and routines to the letter - your dog won’t skip a beat while you’re away. I’m experienced in medication administration, mobility assistance, and the extra patience that senior and special needs dogs require.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor each day to their age, energy, and needs: longer walks and play sessions for active dogs, gentle outings for seniors/special needs pups, and for cats, whatever their mood calls for. Whether that’s interactive play, cozy cuddle time, or quiet relaxation, I’m happy to follow their lead.

- Before your pet’s stay, I’d love to know about any medical conditions, medications, or mobility limitations, as well as their feeding schedule, dietary restrictions, and any allergies. It’s also helpful to know their temperament around strangers, other animals, and new environments, along with any behavioral quirks, fears, or triggers to be mindful of. For dogs, please share any commands or training cues they know, furniture rules, and leash behavior. For cats, let me know their hiding tendencies and how long it typically takes them to warm up to new people. The more I know ahead of time, the smoother and more comfortable the experience will be for your pet.
