I have one 13 year old Shiba Inu who is fine with other dogs but mostly prefers to keep to himself. Dogs that are very eager to play with him may not be a good fit though I encourage to try with a meet and greet. I have 3 year old son who (with the help of our Shiba) has learned to be very respectful of dogs. He is very gentle, and knows to give dogs space.

Information Zoe & Noah M. would like to know about your pet

It’s helpful to know if your dog wakes up in the night or wakes up before 6:30 am. If they have history of indoor accidents please let us know. Any particular signs or signals that your dog gives for food or potty breaks? The more info we can get about your pet the better!!

A typical day

My child and I are early risers so we can do first potty breaks by 6:30am in our fenced backyard. We do neighborhood walks in the evening but can do a morning walk as well for more active dogs. We typically stay close to home and our senior dog likes to lay on the couch. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays I’m available for longer and more strenuous hikes.

Caring for dogs brings me joy!

Pet care experience

I grew up in a family of true dog lovers. We had standard poodles who were each so emotionally complex! Thirteen years ago I adopted a Shiba Inu while living abroad and he has taught me so much about the complicated needs of different dog breeds. I love to figure out what each dogs unique needs and tendencies are and supporting them so they can be their best selves!

Luna had a fabulous stay with Zoe and Noah. They took special care to ensure all her needs were met, including a local hike (that she loved) and accommodating for her nervous eating and social habits. Definitely loved receiving a video and text update for her while I was away as well. Would definitely book again with these two! Thank you
