Dog-obsessed Family Seeks Snuggles

I have had a dog since birth. Since the passing of my blue heeler in 2018, I have taken to pet sitting to scratch that itch. I can’t wait to give your dogs lots of love! Edit to add we rescued a tiny pup in November of 2024 and will need to ensure any dog we watch is calm around her as she is quite the delicate little thing. I am a nutritionist, yoga teacher and doula who is away from the home sporadically for short bursts and sometimes work full days. There are days I’m home much of the time, and when that is not possible my husband will come home midday and work from home in the afternoon. I am flexible as to long or short term care. I have nearly half an acre of fenced in property and this family of 5 has a total of 10 hands primed for petting and throwing tennis balls! I work part-time so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! I am available on most every weekday, weekend, and holiday. Please note we require an in person meet and greet prior to see how dogs are with our feisty chihuahua and around the chicken coop. Some dogs are overly interested in our pet chickens who are safely kept in a secure coop, but this then distresses both the dog and the chickens hence the need for an in person meeting. Please no last minute requests as this leaves no time to meet in advance. I have a fenced yard and kiddos who absolutely love to help entertain, pet, and care for your sweet doggie. By loaning me your dog you’re doing me a favor, trust me!

Zoe and David are the best! They were very accommodating for my senior dog who is arthritic. I was gone for over a week but didn't worry about Tucker because I knew that he would be cared for and love on so well! I'm pretty sure their house is Tucker's home away from home. Highly recommend!

Baby had an amazing stay! They were very responsive sending pictures and updates daily on how she was doing. I felt Baby was in safe hands and didn’t worry about her wellbeing while I was gone. I’d recommend Zoe and her family again and will use them again in the future!

Zoe and David are our favorite Rover! I never worry when my Tucker is in their care. Tucker is excited to be dropped off at their house and happy when I pick him up. Win-win! Highly recommend them!

Zoe and David are the best! They give my dog lots of TLC and keep me up to date of how he is doing. I always know Tucker is in the best of care whenever he stays with them.

Schedule

At a minimum, any dog we watch will get a potty break morning, midday, late afternoon and evening. If your dog is good on a lead, I’m very open to a daily walk. On weekdays. We can have extended play in the afternoons and all bets are off for weekends. Any other questions, just ask!

Safety, trust & environment

We will feed your dog and ours in separate locations within the home and our own pup is crated in a closed off room when we leave the house. Our fence has been secure for all dogs we’ve watched over the years. Your dog will always be supervised when outside and never left unattended. During the meet and greet, I will show you the shorter fence areas should you have a dog that has been an escape artist in the past.

A typical day

We have nearly a half acre property with plenty of room to run and explore. We keep several dog toys stocked and will tire your pet out with fetch, keep away and tug of war.

Any dog we care for must be uninterested in the chickens, calm around our dog, good with kids and fully house trained. Our household does best with moderate to low energy dogs. Hyper dogs tend to feed off the energy of the kids and become more wound up. Beyond that, we have no requirements and/or preferences. We love big and small dogs alike!
