I’m home from college for the summer, so pet care fits very naturally into my routine and gives me a flexible schedule. I’m available throughout most weekdays and weekends for walks, drop ins, and spending quality time with pets. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and needs.

College Student Who Loves Animals
Pet care experience
I’m a college student home for the summer who genuinely loves being around animals and making them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m very responsible, dependable, and patient, and I understand that every pet has a different personality and routine. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding schedules, playtime, giving lots of attention, and helping pets feel less anxious while their families are gone. I also have experience caring for both energetic younger dogs and older pets who may need a calmer environment and extra patience. I’m very attentive and will treat your pets the way I would want someone to treat my own. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your animals, and I always want both pets and owners to feel comfortable.

Reviews

I hired Zoe to do 30 min drop-in visits for my two shy cats over a 10 day period. Zoe was very responsive and said she was familiar with the apartment complex and tasks so she declined doing a meet and greet, which I was fine with. The first day of the visits, Zoe asked me how to put litter in the litter boxes, which leads me to believe that she did not have much/any experience caring for cats. This was worrying, as it was not previously disclosed. What I also didn’t realize was that I needed to expressly request that Zoe stay for the entire 30 minutes to help my cats get comfortable with her and potentially come out to play/interact. Zoe’s visits were 4-5 minutes every day. She cleaned the litter boxes, refilled food and water, and then left. I didn’t realize this until the second-to-last day since I was getting married in another state, but I should have checked. I think it is irresponsible for sitters to put a service on their profile if they have no experience providing it. If this had been previously disclosed, I probably would’ve been fine with it. I would have required a meet and greet and offered more coaching. But that isn’t what happened and I feel misled. My cats were both super freaked out after 10 days of no human interaction. In the future, stay the entire 30 minutes even if the cats are hiding, it’ll help them get used to your scent/presence and then they’ll be more likely to come out and say hi. Playing with wand toys is also a great way to bond with them without having to get too close. And be honest with pet parents, we are trusting you with our babies!
Our dog loves Zoe! So great knowing she will be there for our dog. She’s always positive, caring and loving to our dog. Very trustworthy!
