As mentioned above, I live on a large property. I have leash walked dogs here and also let them free range and run around. For more active pups, I usually do walks that are about 2 to 2.5 miles along our levee. For older dogs, I go at their pace and let them guide the way. I always carry portable water and treats with me. If you do not live in Valley Lodge, I am happy to walk the same distance in your neighborhood or any area you prefer. Whatever your dog needs or whatever you are most comfortable with, feel free to let me know and we can talk it through.

Please let me know about any important things or quirks they may have. Such as, not being fond of cars when walking or has a tendency to try and chase “xyz”. I do prefer to have conversations about daily life and what it looks like for them to make sure they’re on their routine and as comfortable as possible.
A typical day
I’m very lenient with what your pet likes and is open to do. If I’m with a senior pet and they love to just lay on the couch, we can sit and I’ll read and just have company with them. If they’re a very active dog we can go to the park and run around, if you’re open to it, I can bring them here and they can explore supervised or on leash. Discussing you and your pets needs and preferences are very important to me.

Pet care experience
I grew up in Simonton, on a property with over 160 acres, surrounded by animals my whole life, especially dogs and horses. I have hands-on experience with minor wound care, basic veterinary needs, and administering medications. If you know me, you might also know my grandmother, Sheryl, the neighbor animal lady! Together, we have fostered and cared for a variety of animals over the years, primarily dogs and. I have spent countless hours walking, feeding, and sitting for them. If you’re comfortable and your dogs are properly trained, I can even bring them to my property, where they will have a safe and open space to run and explore freely, all while being closely monitored!

I have known Zoe for over 10+ years and she has always been reliable, compassionate and kind with my animals. She loves all animals and goes above and beyond to take good care of them. She has been a house sitter for me on multiple times taking care of horses, dogs and cats. She is experienced with geriatric dogs/cats that need "extra care" with medications or love. Honestly i can't speak highly enough of her work ethic, responsibleness and compassion. On a scale of 1-10 she is definitely a "10".
Zoe helped my husband and I when we rescued 2 young, very strong, very active German Shepherd mix puppies. It became VERY overwhelming for my husband, our friend and myself to care for the pups, as it took up about 3+ hours a day. Zoe found out what we were doing and jumped in to help, she spent many hours OUTSIDE her regular full time job to help us find rescue services to foster, I think she contacted over 100 by email! She helped us with feeding, med, caring for them after they both got fixed, and training, (a lot of training!), she was very knowledgeable with simple ways to control the dogs on a leash better. She has a heart of GOLD when it comes to animals. She is soft spoken, firm but gentle, loving and compassionate. She is VERY dependable and thoughtful. If it was not for all her help, I think we would still be tied down to taking care of the 2 pups. They have both been placed in loving homes where the owners adore them, and I truly believe that Zoe was an integral part of the process. Anyone who uses her services will be richly blessed!
