Hi! I currently work at a humane society and have three years of hands-on shelter experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. From energetic puppies to shy or anxious pets, I’m comfortable handling a wide range of personalities and needs. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my entire life, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. Working in a shelter environment has taught me how to read body language, maintain routines, safely handle pets, and provide enrichment to keep them happy and stress-free. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I treat every animal as if they were my own and will always provide reliable care and updates while you’re away!

I prioritize maintaining your pet’s normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and enrichment instructions closely while keeping the environment clean and secure. I make sure pets receive plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and affection, and I always monitor their behavior for any signs of stress or illness. You can also expect regular updates and photos for peace of mind.

Zoe has watched my two Pomeranians twice now and both times I felt like they were in great hands. They warmed up to her very quickly and were happy and content when I returned home. She also sent lots of updates and photos which I appreciated. My home was also left in perfect condition each time she stayed. I definitely recommend Zoe to anyone looking for pet care!

Schedule
Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I work full-time at the Edmonton Humane Society, so caring for animals is already a huge part of my everyday life. I’m off every Friday and Saturday, which allows me to dedicate plenty of focused time to weekend bookings. During my work week, I make sure your pet is well cared for outside of work hours. Depending on distance, drop ins during my lunch break are a possibility if needed. Because animal care is both my profession and my passion, providing attentive, consistent care fits seamlessly into my schedule.

- I like to learn about each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs they may have. It’s helpful to know their feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, and any medications or health concerns. I also like to know how they typically behave around new people or other animals so I can make sure they feel comfortable and safe while in my care.
