I try to be as flexible as possible and can often accommodate early, late, or last-minute requests where needed. For dog walks, I use safe, secure routes such as local neighbourhood areas and Ferry Meadows, always prioritising your dog’s comfort and safety. I carefully follow your instructions regarding lead use, recall, and any behavioural needs. For cats and other pets, I take a gentle and patient approach, respecting their space and allowing them to feel comfortable at their own pace. I am confident handling more nervous or independent cats, always focusing on building trust and reducing stress. I am fully Canine First Aid and CPR trained, DBS checked, and I have my own transport, allowing me to be flexible and reliable for your bookings. You will also receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you can feel completely reassured while you’re away. Keys and home access are always handled securely and with full respect for your privacy.

Please let me know about their routine, feeding schedule, behaviour, and any preferences or sensitivities they may have. It’s also important for me to be aware of any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or specific instructions, as well as how your pet interacts with new people, other animals, or different environments. I am always happy to arrange a meet & greet beforehand, which I highly recommend. This allows me to get to know your pet, understand their personality, and ensure they feel comfortable with me from the start. Clear communication is very important to me, and I will always follow your instructions closely to make sure your pet feels safe, secure, and well cared for.

A typical visit is always tailored to your pet’s individual personality, energy level, and routine, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for. For dogs, I combine both physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep them balanced and fulfilled. This can include structured walks, sniff-based enrichment, ball games, basic training, or simply relaxed time depending on their needs and temperament. For cats, I focus on creating a calm and positive environment. This may include interactive play, gentle engagement, or quiet companionship, always respecting their mood and allowing them to approach on their own terms. I believe that both dogs and cats benefit from mental as well as physical stimulation, and I always adapt each visit to suit what your pet enjoys most. I am also continually expanding my knowledge of animal nutrition, including raw feeding, and I am happy to follow any specific dietary requirements as part of your pet’s routine.

Zita was absolutely fantastic and gave us complete peace of mind while looking after Pharaoh. From the very beginning, she was patient, kind, and understanding. Pharaoh can take a little time to warm up to new people, but Zita took the time to build his trust and made sure he was comfortable throughout her visits. We received plenty of photos and detailed updates, which was incredibly reassuring while we were away and showed just how much care and attention she was giving him.
