I mainly work from home as a senior PhD student at McGill University, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I can easily adjust my routine to meet your pet’s needs and ensure they receive plenty of care, attention, and companionship throughout the day.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medical conditions, medications, allergies, and any behavioral traits. It’s also helpful to know how they interact with people, other pets, and unfamiliar situations. I appreciate learning about their favorite activities, toys, treats, and any commands they respond to. Understanding what makes them comfortable—or stressed—helps me provide a safe, consistent, and enjoyable experience while they’re in my care.
A typical day
A typical day starts with a morning walk, feeding, fresh water, and some playtime. Throughout the day, I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and bathroom breaks while maintaining their usual routine. I also provide updates and photos to owners so they can see how their pets are doing. In the evening, we enjoy another walk, play session, dinner, and some relaxing time before bedtime. For fun activities, I tailor them to each pet’s personality and energy level. Dogs may enjoy walks, fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, training games, or trips to a nearby park. Cats often enjoy interactive toys, wand play, treat puzzles, and plenty of affection if they like cuddles. My goal is to keep pets happy, engaged, and comfortable while they’re in my care.

I have had a wonderful experience with Ziqi as my dog walker. Because I'm very busy, I don’t always have enough time to walk my beloved Bichon Frise, and I feel very grateful to have someone as reliable and caring as Ziqi to help. Ziqi is always on time, responsible, and attentive. He makes sure my dog is happy, gets enough exercise, and is kept clean after walks. It is clear that he truly loves dogs, and as a dog owner himself with a very cute Shiba Inu, he understands how important it is to treat pets with patience, kindness, and care. I would highly recommend Ziqi to anyone looking for a trustworthy and responsible dog lover to walk and care for their dogs.
Ziqi is a responsible and experienced Shiba owner. He has taken care of and trained his dog really well. He takes his dog outside at least twice per day and on average he spend almost 2 hours per day on walking and playing with his dog outside. He chooses various routines for dog walks to make sure his dog has enough stimulation and fun, including different dog parks, McGill Campus Mount Royal and old port. He is patient and careful, therefore I highly recommend him as a dog walker.
Ziqi is a caring, responsible, and trustworthy pet caregiver. He is patient, attentive, and truly loves animals. I would feel very comfortable leaving my pet with him because he is reliable, kind, and takes pet care seriously
